Probably Fishtie and imacharginmehlaz0r or who ever is strong enough to grab hold of Vortex disembody limbs when he's using his power. E.g. he use the vortex to throw a punch from a distance however that person grab hold of his arm who won't let go. The vortex will only vanish once the arm go back into it so the user himself is vulnerable since he's missing an arm. If for this reason that the modern day Vortex (Fortex) may equip something on the limb to counteract that weakness.

I'm not sure.
Anyone that can beat me to a pulp fast enough so that I couldn't recover. Thing is, I have ranged and melee attacks and a shield, but it is rather vulnerable. Everything I have as a weapon is me, biological, so it all depends on how much I want to sacrifice to make the ultimate shield, or how much blood am I going to use to shoot the enemy from afar.

The pain factor here is very important, since everything that happens hurts me, even solidifying a calcium bone shield or cutting myself so that I could make a blood whip.

The first generation will start out Neutral Evil (I already mention they would be good at stealing with the vortex power) however the modern incarnation would be True Neutral.
What are the limitations concerning vortex placement?
have you got that under control? Is it the same with the 'Jumper' movie, that you need to picture or see the place before you ('jump') put an out vortex there?

I'm fairly sure Nemesis is on the Good side, probably Chaotic. I mean, you can't be lawful when your daily routine consists of stabbing, crushing, shooting, and strangling gangsters, can you? In fact, maybe closer to Chaotic Neutral.

@nuba: If I'm correct, isn't there a magnetism guy here? Yeah, he could probably beat a metal man/woman easily.

probably Vortex/ Fortex because he could send my long range attacks back at me.
I'm not sure that (due to his/her description) these vortexes may be used that way. One should be near him and another at his destination, so I don't think he can do whatever you did at Portal 1 Last Boss fight .

oh two more question:
1. who do you think has the weakest powers?
2. who do you think has the most practical powers for your day to day live?

I have limited my vortex powers so I won't be over powered. It is no where like the film Jumper where the user need need an image to make the vortex to that location.
The user can only make vortex what he/ she is currently seeing live (except long distance). The only exception I want to add to this limitation (if GM approve this or not) is let say he saw a bunker but cannot see what is inside. The user have to focus him/ her self to "sense" the interior of the bunker. Once the user had sense the interior, he or she could blindy use the vortex power inside the bunker or vortec his/ her head into inspect the inside.
I also hinder my power further by making my character bad at judging distance so that way it isn't alway too convience to use as well.

This is my main concern, that you'll somehow gain the ability to go through walls (via your vortex). The GM needs to decide on this.

Common Alias: Nemesis, or some variation on the word "enemy."

Power: The Nemesis family have metal, or later on clockwork or robotics, infused with their flesh. This gives them increased resilience to damage and pain, along with extra endurance. They also have the ability to shift the metal in their bodies into equipment or weaponry. With time and technological advancement, the options for transformation increase with each generation. For example, in the Roman times, the Nemesis could create a gladius or a javelin, but in the World War era, they could fashion a machine gun. While the metal in their bodies is being summoned somewhere else, the empty space is replaced by normal muscle, which recedes when the metal is replaced.

Common Features: Black hair, piercing gray eyes, muscular build in the men, slightly buxom build in the women, incredibly sarcastic. While the metal is generally infused with their muscles, the metal will sometimes be visible as a metal portion of the body. They all have a strong hatred for criminals, dedicating their life to keeping things safe for the citizens or villagers.

I'm still having a hard time picturing the creation of this power.
Every time I picture it I think of a Frankenstein like monster, but this is supposed to be a bloodline, something that's transferred by genes and not some mad scientist that implemented you with mechanical augmentations a la-Deus Ex 3.

I guess they just are born with a metal arm or some metal muscles. I don't bother with trying to figure out science of superpowers.

So your fine as long the vortex appear from his range of vision only? I can understand your concern. I just think my vortex ability is already hinder as it already is. I mean I know I preventing him from being over powered but I don't want to make his power too useless.
I also debating wheather his power should be kept as a one way path or not (if he can redirect enemies attack back at them or not).

Well I will let the GM decide on that and I will abide by it.

If they're born with a metal arm or something similar, then they can't have other muscles replace them when that arms magically turns into a gladius? You see where I'm going with this?

I agree that if you don't have that ability I don't like your power will be vastly under-powered. But projectiles is also something bad - Someone shoots at you and you say "Ha Ha! You can't hit me since I used my vortex and now you're getting it in your face!".
This is also problematic. I know that you didn't want to be someone that teleports but you should consider this. It'll balance out this without making any game breaking additions.

Here's a question for everyone:

Are there any powers you wanted to add to your character but thought it made them overpowered. For me i wanted to give them the ability to use electromagnetism to cling to metal surfaces. And enhanced strength and agility. but it just seemed way overpowered.

Technically I could give my bloke superhuman strength. I could make him unstoppable, but that's just stupid.
If he is about to chase someone, he has a few options.
1- Run after him.
2- Shoot at him and hope that you'll hit (blood projectile.)
3- Tear your muscles in your chest and add muscle mass to the legs, allowing you to reach maximum speed. But the process takes time, the pain is staggering (In modern era users sometimes carry morphine to relieve the pain) and afterwards the chest muscles are a mess, so you'll need time to recover.

What I could have some with option 3 is make it simple, easy and painless. THAT would have been overpowering my character.
I was wondering if I would make a masochist character (non-sexual. Or...why the hell not?)
