"Ro? Go tell the guards stationed outside that we have three Dinolfos, a Goron and a Bokoblin who need to be dragged down to the dungeons." Ro was taken about by the informal nature of this legendary woman's tone, but quickly stood at attention. He shuffled quietly out as to not interrupt her interrogation.

Now just outside the room Ro glanced down the hall and saw a group of armored guards standing and chatting, some looked a little beaten from the earlier attack.

He was hesitant to interrupt their chatting but waited for a chance. "Um, excuse me? Lady Impa told me to come get you all. We need to move the big sleeping Goron, the pink Bokoblin, and the three non-silver Dinolfos down to the dungeons right away." He waited for a second as they looked at each other before heading back into the room.

As Ro re-entered he heard Lady Impa finishing a conversation with one of the prisoners. "safe of me to assume you're that runaway Prince Shah has been searching for?" Ro quickly glanced over as he retook his place near Impa. The girl was a young Gerudo, she was probably the one Ro had overheard the Gerudo guards talking about. Ro was hesitant to think of what Shah would do to a runaway, but brushed it off, thinking the Prince probably would not be to hard on his own people.

Lady Impa then turned to young Sorti, talking about someone named Fey and something about his interesting sword, then the big silver Dinolfos...normally Ro would be scared being this close to a Dinolfos, but he was wearing a bright orange, kind of silly outfit, reminiscent of Skull Kid style clothing, that seemed to put Ro at ease.

Impa then moved onto discussing the sorcerer Vaati. Ro had heard the name and read up a little on him. He was a famous (or infamous depending on who you talked to) magic user based on Gala Island. Ro's interest was sparked and he listened intently to a response from the Kokiri.

Lynd tapped his foot as the others prattled on. A scowl adorned his face as he surveyed the room. He gave a silent grunt of annoyance as he let the 'interviewees' speak their parts, vigilant for any foolish attempts at violence.

He'd pegged the Valentine guy as an unscrupulous liar the second he'd laid eyes on him - con men had an annoying habit of being ostentatious to conceal the fact they were all full of shit. The bastard confirmed it the instant he opened his mouth, spinning a flowery yarn about how he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

'Yea. That's what they all say, asshole. I'd know - I deal with people like you all the time.' Much to his relief, Impa seemed to share this assessment. "Mr. Lynd? Get some rope and tie down Mr. Valentine with it." He gave a half-hearted salute and reached into his satchel. "Right away, ma'am." Lynd marched up to the bewildered Valentine and not-so-gently pressed him against the wall, bringing his arms behind him and starting the process of binding his wrists. "You... you ruffian! You manhandle the great Valentine!? I'll have you know, I'm the greatest bard in all of Hyrule! I can't believe a plebian like you would dare to touch me!"

Lynd ignored the insults as he continued his work apace, not bothering to slow for the man's comfort. Soon his work was done, and he dragged the still-ranting bard to Impa's side. "So... which cell block ya want 'em in?"

"...I bet Impa's going to torture them all with her Sheikah magic!"

Jakaboq rubbed his head, the crowd didn't really tell him much. The Bokoblin had already figured that a bunch of crazy shit had happened and he had already seen Vaati and his lackey on the scene - well, not exactly that but something close enough. But the last bit made Jakaboq light up with morbid glee. Torture? No so fun. Torture using Sheikah Arts? Very fun! Of course, there was the fact that the Bokoblin had some information as to where Vaati and his subordinate went. Chips on the table. The looter would be an upstanding citizen, doing his duty to bring the sorcerer down!

And so, Jakaboq ran towards Hyrule Castle and to the bemused guards he said, "An Adventurer with Attitude? stand before you with information on... Marin, Fahrd, Kahrd and their leader: Vaati himself! Take me to your leader! Take me to Lady Impa!"

"Hmph. Now this is a rare thing. Someone enters Hyrule Castle and for once, I have no idea who they are."

Ragnar tilted his head at the old lady talking about their ragtag band of heroes like she knew them, but she didn't know him. Then again, this WAS the first time he had been outside the forest ever, so it wasn't out of the question that she would have never heard of him. The dinolfos tilted his head side to side, popping the discs of his spine to relieve some built up stress. "Pleasure to meet you too, whoever you are. I'm Ragnar, you may not have heard of me because this is the first time for me outside of my forest. I lived in the Lost Woods for all my life, you see." he explained, wincing a little in pain as he moved his right arm. "Damn Rito... that black tipped needle went really deep...." he growled aloud, loud enough for Impa to overhear it.

He has to chuckle and smirk triumphantly as she gives the order for the conspirators to be dragged away in chains, the dinolfos smiling a toothy smile beneah the brim of his hat. "So...where does that leave us if they are being arrested?" he asked curiously, his black tipped tail swaying around behind him as he spoke, a little restless and anxious.

The young Rito glanced around as, at the old Sheikah's orders, the guards went to tie up Valentine. Really, since he was part of the problem earlier, the boy had no sympathy whatsoever. In fact, he was more preoccupied with watching Valentine being bound that he didn't notice Impa going down the line of suspects and coming to him.

"I recognize the blade but not you. A friend of Fey's, by chance?"

At that, he perked up and looked over at Impa.

"Fey? That's my mom." he said, before frowning thoughtfully beneath his beak.

"You know, I think she mentioned an Impa when she told me about her adventures in the mainland. So, how did you meet?" he asked excitedly.

Then, looking around an realizing where he was, he cleared his throat and smiled apologetically.

"Uh, maybe you could tell me another time, yea?" he murmured.

[HEADING=2]Outside the Castle[/HEADING]

The pair of guards stationed by the gate stood blinking at Jakaboq. The senior among them rubbed his palm against his face. "Oh Goddesses, not another."

His junior turned to him. "Another? This sort of thing happen often?"

"Like you wouldn't believe..." the older officer muttered. He brought his hand down and faced the Bokoblin with a frown. "Alright, listen here mister 'Adventurer with Attitude?'. I'm going to let you in the castle and lead you to whichever boss-lady is around. And along the way, I'm going to trust you not to break anything or steal anything or...do anything that ends with the Commander telling me 'This is coming out of you salary, Rufus'. Just follow me and don't do as your lot normally do. Please."

The guard then turned and pushed the door open, stepping into the castle and gesturing for Jakaboq to follow.

[HEADING=2]Inside the Castle[/HEADING]

Impa listened carefully to everyone's words, the expression on her eyes unchanging. Though her ears did seem to twitch when Ragnar muttered about a black-tipped needle. First she responded to Lynd. "Throw them in the third. The moldy corridor if you may, right across from those River Zoras we captured a month back." At her words, the guardsmen took the bound prisoners and pulled them towards the dungeon's entrance. It took several to drag Hogan, who continued to snore as his rocky hide grated annoyingly against the floor.

She then turned her attention to Sorti. "Yes, a subject for another time indeed. Right now it's time to take care of business." Impa said as she faced Ingo. "Speaking of, are you trying to haggle with me Ingo? I find the proposition rather rude, considering the mercenary across from you just humbly declined a reward for her own services." She gestured to Erryn of course.

"Leaving this interrogation room should be enough of a reward on it's own though, aye? I have only a few more questions for you people. Answer them and you're free to go." she said. Impa turned both of the masks that were in her hands so they faced the group. "First of all, regarding these masks-"

Impa's ears peaked up and she stopped. Seconds later it became evident why, as the sound of loud footsteps and shouts of "Sir, you can't go there..." were heard. The door to the interrogation room swung open and a frowning Gerudo Prince stepped inside.

"Where is she? One of my guards saw her being escorted here." Shah said, his eyes turning from Impa and now glaring at the rest of the room. Before the Sheikah could respond, Shah had already spotted Hyoko and made his way over to her. "You! You're in hot water now, missy! What did I tell you? What did I tell all of the Gerudo? No leaving the desert to visit Hyrule! Now can you imagine how I felt when one of my most gifted warriors ran off without a word to do just that? Hell, do you realize how worried you made your family? Hm? Do you?"

Impa stepped towards Shah to intervene. Her hand reached into the cloth of her scarf, its fingers gripping the end of a black-tipped needle. "Your highness, I ask that you allow to finish this questioning before interrupting it with questions of your-"

She stopped as her ears peaked up yet again. There was the sound of footsteps and a knock against the already open door. Impa grumbled, clearly she was getting sick of these interruptions. She turned to see a Bokoblin alongside a pair of guardsmen. "What? What is it now?" she hissed, red-eyes glaring at the trio.

"Er...lady Impa, this Bokoblin claims that he has information regarding Vaati and the attack earlier today." the younger guard said. Both looked at the collection of ragtags and the Gerudo Prince, clearly confused by the whole situation.

Shah meanwhile shifted his attention to Sorti. "But what upsets me more than seeing Hyoko consorting with Hylians is seeing this runt carrying a Gerudo relic! Oh yes, I knew I recognized that hilt. And you'd best hand that over if you know what's good for you."

"Throw them in the third. The moldy corridor if you may, right across from those River Zoras we captured a month back."

Lynd's face, until now a mixture of disinterest and apathy, underwent the strangest transformation at Impa's new orders. Several of his fellow guards shifted about at their posts, nervously avoiding the man's eyes.

For the first time in a very, very long time, Lynd was smiling.

It was a toothy one, too - baring his surprisingly well-kept teeth. It looked very out of place for a person so consistently severe and dour, giving his visage a disquieting air. Lynd leaned in to the helpless bard, who had ceased his ranting upon seeing the man's sudden change in demeanor. "Cell block three, huh?" A dark chuckle emanates from his throat, sending a shiver up Valentine's spine. "Oh, joy. That one hasn't been cleaned in... what? Three months?" The grin widens with Valentine's own look of abject terror. "What are you being so fussed about? You should be honored! You're about to be acquainted with one of the most... interesting smells in all of Hyrule."

Lynd was only dimly aware of the man's panicked shouting as he dragged him down the staircase and through the lower levels of the dungeon. A stinging sensation in his eyes told him he'd arrived at his destination - the entrance to the infamous cell block three. Even with the door sealed, a pungent odor reminiscent of sweat and rotten fish wafted through the air. Lynd took in a deep breath and, with one arm firmly secured on the still struggling bard, forced the door open. The first thing he heard, naturally, was a loud gag as the full force of the stench hit Valentine's throat. With no time to waste, Lynd rushed in and tossed Valentine into the appropriate cell, slamming the door shut. A deft turn of a key sealed the cell with a click, and with a short wave he bolted from the cell block.

He wandered back into the interrogation room, chuckling to himself. "Heh... man, that'll never get old."

As Lynd escorted the prisoners alongside the guards, Ro stood back and to the left of Lady Impa. He looked between those that were left. Young Sorti, the Gerudo, the Kokiri, the silver Dinolfos, the Bokoblin, the Hylian woman, and the ragtag looking crew behind them. Sorti had confirmed the Fey woman was his mother. Impa promised to discuss it eventually. She next spoke to the Kokiri who seemed to be named Ingo, and the Hylian named Erryn. Mostly about Ingo's behavior. The only people's names he was still unsure of were the Gerudo and the two scary looking others.

Ro was carefully studying their behaviors when he heard steps and a bustling coming from the hallway. He stepped towards the door to open it, but leaped back as it swung open. In walked Shah. "Where is she? One of my guards saw her being escorted here." He quickly turned his gaze to the Gerudo girl. "You! You're in hot water now, missy! What did I tell you? What did I tell all of the Gerudo? No leaving the desert to visit Hyrule! Now can you imagine how I felt when one of my most gifted warriors ran off without a word to do just that? Hell, do you realize how worried you made your family? Hm? Do you?"

So Ro was correct in assuming her identity. And the prince only gave her a slight talking to, much more lenient then Ro was expecting. She looked young to be one of the most gifted warriors. She was much younger and seemed much nicer than the scary Gerudo guards Ro had entered the city with.

Ro glanced Impa approaching as her hand sunk in to her scarf. Her armed tightened slightly as if she were grabbing something. "Your highness, I ask that you allow to finish this questioning before interrupting it with questions of your-"

Ro was now behind Shah as he heard another commotion in the hall. He went to the door again but it opened in his face. Ro was now behind the door and couldn't see a thing.

"What? What is it now?" clearly a very perturbed Impa's voice.

"Er...lady Impa, this Bokoblin claims that he has information regarding Vaati and the attack earlier today." Ro peered around the door and saw a pair of guards flanking another Bokoblin.

What amazed Ro most, more then seemingly everyone's disregard for knocking, was that Shah was still on a roll. "But what upsets me more than seeing Hyoko consorting with Hylians is seeing this runt carrying a Gerudo relic! Oh yes, I knew I recognized that hilt. And you'd best hand that over if you know what's good for you."

So her name is Hyoko, was Ro's first thought before snapping back to the conversation. Ro thought the blade looked familiar during the festival, he had seen similar styles while he was doing his research on Gerudo culture before meeting the prince. But a relic? It must have been something rare or unique.

Ro side stepped back towards Lady Impa, trying his best to stay out of Shah's line of sight, as to avoid his ire. He swallowed as he tried to get the courage to speak. "ex-Excuse me...Lady Impa? Maybe we should have someone escort the prince upstairs while we finish these proceedings."

~ Sorti ~

Impa's reply to keep to the matter at hand prompted a nod from the young Rito, but it wasn't long before the interviews were interrupted by the door flying open. The figure that walked in was none other than Shah, the Gerudo Prince that Sorti had spoken to earlier that day. His red eyes narrowed as he saw the Prince start to berate the rather nice Gerudo woman that had helped him and Bannog before turning to him.

"But what upsets me more than seeing Hyoko consorting with Hylians is seeing this runt carrying a Gerudo relic! Oh yes, I knew I recognized that hilt. And you'd best hand that over if you know what's good for you."

Sorti quickly grabbed the sheathed scimitar and held it tightly.

"There is no way I am giving my mom's sword to you, jerk. Besides, I need it if I'm going to go after Vaati and save Marin." he added in a matter-of-fact tone.

After all, that's what an adventurer did. They went and saved the girl, defeated the force of evil, and generally managed to find some decent loot along the way. That's simply how it was done, and he wasn't about to argue with it, especially since going on an adventure was his goal for coming to the mainland. He'd have to be an idiot to pass it up. Though, that also reminded him of something that had been niggling at the back of his mind, and he turned to Impa.

"By the way, since Bannog, Hyoko and me stopped some of Vaati's lackeys, we deserve something like a reward, or a pat on the back at least, yea?" he asked, before motioning to Ragnar and adding, "He helped some too."

Erryn meanwhile was quietly watching the events unfold, whilst some of the crew were talking amongst themselves, whereas others were standing by. It was then that she could hear loud footsteps coming from just outside the interrogation room, followed by a couple of guards shouting. "Sir, you can't go there..."

It was at that moment that an overly dressed Gerudo burst into the room with an immediate frown on his face. Wait. His? It suddenly struck her that this must have been the Gerudo Prince. "Where is she? One of my guards saw her being escorted here." Mere seconds later he found the one who he was searching for.

"You! You're in hot water now, missy! What did I tell you? What did I tell all of the Gerudo? No leaving the desert to visit Hyrule! Now can you imagine how I felt when one of my most gifted warriors ran off without a word to do just that? Hell, do you realize how worried you made your family? Hm? Do you?"

Impa then put herself between the two, and from what Erryn could see, the Sheikah was messing with her scarf for some reason. "Your highness, I ask that you allow to finish this questioning before interrupting it with questions of your-" She was further interrupted by a knock on the door, suffice to say the look on her face was one of anger. Whilst she dealt with that, the Gerudo Prince turned his attention towards the young Rito that was with them.

"But what upsets me more than seeing Hyoko consorting with Hylians is seeing this runt carrying a Gerudo relic! Oh yes, I knew I recognized that hilt. And you'd best hand that over if you know what's good for you." By this point, he was already getting on Erryn's nerves, but the runt remark sealed the deal.

"Perhaps that attitude is the reason why Hyoko left, she simply couldn't stand it anymore. You come in here all high and mighty like you own the place, and then demand that someone, who willingly risked his life I might add, return something just because it happens to originate from your people." Erryn remarked, trying her best to remain calm despite her anger.

Hyoko's heart sank as Princh Shah stormed in, looking very cross.

"You! You're in hot water now, missy! What did I tell you? What did I tell all of the Gerudo? No leaving the desert to visit Hyrule! Now can you imagine how I felt when one of my most gifted warriors ran off without a word to do just that? Hell, do you realize how worried you made your family? Hm? Do you?"

She said nothing, just shrunk even further in her seat. Pat of her knew he was right in the sense that she shouldn't have run off and worried the other Gerudos. The people who put up with antics, like trying to see if she could hand upside down like a Keese, or using bomb arrows to blow up targets.

Also, she couldn't help but pick up that he called her "one of my most gifted warriors". But before Hyoko could work up the nerve to ask her Prince if he meant what he said, some of the others spoke up in her defense, much to her surprise.

She barely knew any of them and here they were standing up to the Gerudo Prince just for her sake. It was not an unwelcome change of pace.

"By the way, since Bannog, Hyoko and me stopped some of Vaati's lackeys, we deserve something like a reward, or a pat on the back at least, yea?" he asked, before motioning to Ragnar and adding, "He helped some too."

THe dinolfos perked his ears at the mention of a reward, tuning out the rude, loud person in the room. "Something to compensate for us risking our lives to save the city." He perked up, the dinolfos pulling off his hat to examine it for tears, trying to put the rings and reeds back in place so it didn't fall apart on him.

He also happened to catch the word "Prince" something he had never heard before. Like all new things, he poked Erryn on hte shoulder and inquired about it. "Erryn...what's a prince?" he asked curiously, wondering if this person was important or not, he did an awful lot of yelling.

"Just follow me and don't do as your lot normally do. Please."

"Righty-ho, Sir Rufus, sir." Jakaboq cheerfully replied. Of course the 'blin would be on his best behaviour. However, Jakaboq felt somewhat out of place in Hyrule Castle, being a little rapscallion and all. His mind went back to the faint memory of the poor looter who was caught. That could've been him. The Bokoblin straightened up in something which resembled good posture, trying to shake off the shivers that one thought brought on him and followed the guards further into the castle...

"Er...lady Impa, this Bokoblin claims that he has information regarding Vaati and the attack earlier today."

Jakaboq opened his mouth, about to reply, but his jaw felt to the ground as he watched the kerfuffle play itself out. All too clumsily, the Bokoblin got himself back together, fiddling with his notebook and giving a sheepish grin to Lady Impa. Not like that would help. But what would?

Well, maybe using the good ol' voice o' command that Momma Vrek used to bark orders to her trusty crew would. Though, he didn't want to offend Lady Impa, Legendary Sheikah Arts Master. Luckily, the situation in front of him helped suppress the squee he was about to unleash when she came into his field of view.

Ah, what the heck. Jakaboq decided to cut into the conversation with the might of Momma Vrek's voice, "A'reet, enough lollygaggin', ya landlubbers. I gots some information 'ere, see? And I'm 'ere to share it, so listen up! Marin was sent over to Fahrd, while Vaati and Kahrd cut and ran back to Gale Island like the... the hornswagglers they arrrr!"

Aferwards, he gave a satisfied nod and a bow, "That's all I was able to get, milady Impa."

"Erryn...what's a prince?" Ragnar asked after tapping Erryn on the shoulder. This Dinolfos really didn't know much about the outside world it seems, though that would be something she'd have to ask later.

"Prince, male equivalent of the word Princess, is a member of royalty, much like how Princess Zelda is a member of the Royal Family here in Hyrule. However, where the Gerudo are concerned is somewhat of a different matter. You see nearly all of the Gerudo people are women, however, once every hundred years or so, a male is born, and this male grows up to be the leader of the entire populace that makes up the Gerudo."

"Suffice to say, both sides can't seem to get along even at the best of times. It's down to differences in culture for the most part. Now, as a case in point, our current dilemma is a perfect example of this."

Ragnar listened to Erryn as she explained what a prince was, leaving him with a few more questions. "Sooo..does that mean he gets to yell like that all the time? Does this...Zelda yell alot too?" he asked a little louder than he had hoped, then another thought crossed his mind

"Wait...since only one male is born every hundred years...Does that mean he gets all the females all to himself?" he asked out loud, the dinolfos having an honestly curious look on his face, like an inquisitive five year old learning something new about the world he lived in, except a very large and strong Dinolfos."

"Sooo..does that mean he gets to yell like that all the time? Does this...Zelda yell alot too?" Asked Ragnar a little louder than before, taping his chin with one of his claws, thinking about it no doubt. "Wait...since only one male is born every hundred years...Does that mean he gets all the females all to himself?" That question seem to startle quite a few people in the room, Erryn's eyes went wide at the mere thought.

"Heh heh... I think that particular question, is probably best left unanswered till another time." She remarked in a rather sheepish manner, nervously scratching the back of her head as she tried to come up with something that would take her mind off it.

"The princess isn't one for shouting all that often, normally she is a kind and decent soul, trying to do what is best for the Kingdom. And any further questions you may have can wait till a more convenient time."

"-Speaking of, are you trying to haggle with me Ingo? I find the proposition rather rude, considering the mercenary across from you just humbly declined a reward for her own services."

'That means that you have some left over. LET ME TAKE HER SHARE.' Ingo decided to not yell this, instead slouching back into his chair as the others started speaking, and the clusterfuck kicked off. Having no idea where to actually start processing, he starting to just pay attention to the loudest in the room.

This happened to be the big, scaley, hookshotting dinolfos from before. "Wait...since only one male is born every hundred years...Does that mean he gets all the females all to himself?"

"Pffft, yeah. All of them. It's why we're all so surprised he can be this angry." Ingo smiled in his usual mischievous way, "Maybe it's cause so many run here, for the Hylian guys. I'd be pretty hurt too, but chasing after one this young? Desperate, m'lord."

"Really? You're going to defeat Vaati?" Shah said to Sorti, his brow raised. "Because I seem to recall hearing that a certain cocky, young Rito was getting blasted up and down the street by the Wind Mage!" He then turned to Erryn. "And I'd watch my tongue if I were you, you ignorant Hylian pig. The sword doesn't just originate from my people. It-"

Shah stopped when Ragnar loudly asked if he got all the Gerudo women to himself. The Prince turned, his face blushing and his mouth slightly gaping. Before he could form a response, Ingo threw in his own snarky remark. Shah's face became even more red as he scowled at the Kokiri.

A loud smack resounded through the interrogation room as Shah brought his backhand against Ingo's face. "YOU INSOLENT LITTLE BASTARD! How DARE you insult me!"

Impa turned away from Jakaboq when she heard the slap. She stared at the Prince before briefly turning to Ro and muttering "Yes. And perhaps escort out a few others too..." The Sheikah made her way over to intervene, reaching into her scarf once more. But before she could take any action, a certain voice made her froze.

"Pardon me, sir." Princess Zelda said, pushing her way past Jakaboq as she entered through the doorway. The two guards with the Bokoblin instantly saluted and snapped themselves into proper poise. Behind the Princess came Commander Sigrid, who shot glances at both of the guards as she walked by.

The heads of Shah, Impa and probably everybody else in the room were now facing the Princess. She was smiling initially, but this quickly became replaced by a look of curiosity as she examined around her. Her gaze was drawn to Jakaboq first, then lingering on Ro, followed by Hyoko, Sorti, Ingo, Erryn, Ragnar, Bannog and finally Lynd.

The Princess stood in silence for some time, clearly in deep thought as she rubbed her fingers against her chin. Eventually Impa spoke up. "Your Highness?"

Zelda blinked and then turned to the Sheikah. "Impa there's something I need to talk to you about." she said. Impa knowingly nodded her head. Zelda then faced Shah, now smiling. "And I would very much like for you to join us, Prince Shah. I believe the subject of our discussion will interest you greatly. Besides that, there's another matter that we need to talk about."

Shah glared back at the collection of ragtags and scoffed. "Anything to leave the company of these imbeciles." He and Impa followed the Princess as she gestured for them to follow her, exiting the interrogation room and Sigrid shutting the door behind them. The Knight-Commander remained inside, standing by the door with the two guardsman who escorted Jakaboq. She glared at Lynd for a long while before focusing on the others.

"Anything you lot would like to divulge with me that you haven't with Lady Impa already?"

"YOU INSOLENT LITTLE BASTARD! How DARE you insult me!"

Lynd winced as Prince Shah backhanded the Kokiri wizrobe. The little bastard had it coming - seriously, who was stupid enough to insult a foreign dignitary to their face? - but that did little to make the spectacle any less uncomfortable. Lynd got the feeling he should just stay out of this tiff unless it ran the risk of turning outright bloody - but seeing Impa motion to intervene, he internally sighed. 'Right, guardian of the peace and all that. Sometimes I fucking hate this job.' He motioned to ready his sword if need be, before an elegant voice made him freeze clear in place.

'Is that...'

Nervous eyes swerved to the room's main entrance, and Lynd's worst fear was confirmed - the Princess herself had deigned to make her presence known. For a brief instant, Lynd was paralyzed with utter shock, but before long his self preservation instincts took hold and he snapped into a practiced salute. Much to his internal relief the Princess didn't seem to notice his brief bumble, because Sigrid wasn't far behind, and she'd probably flay him alive if he didn't show the proper respect to a member of the royal family.

Then he remembered his saluting arm was his right. The one with the magical, goddess-blessed gauntlet.

With a stumble, he switched saluting arms, jamming his right behind his back. Luckily for Lynd, the proper greeting for guardsmen to a member of the royal family didn't include a smile, because he couldn't help but grind his teeth together in embarrassment and frustration at such an obvious bungle. 'Smooth, Lynd. Maybe next I'll write an entire fucking dissertation on how I'm OBVIOUSLY some big hero reborn...'

In his self-pity, he didn't pay much attention to the Princess, except to note that she managed to convince Shah to leave. For the best, really - a murder on his watch would be really troublesome. She left with Lady Impa and Shah, leaving Sigrid behind. Lynd didn't miss the glare she leveled his way, boring through him with smoldering contempt. He'd seen that look quite a few times in the past. Like when the old tanner fired him for showing up late for the fifth day in a row. Or when the brewer discovered he'd spoiled an entire batch of his winter ale. Or... any time before he'd been fired for being a lazy, shiftless slacker. He didn't blame her, really - if he'd seen someone else beat that retreat from the courtyard, he'd have thought them a coward too.

"Anything you lot would like to divulge with me that you haven't with Lady Impa already?"

Lynd gulped under her continued glare. "Er... would you believe it if I told you I had a good reason for running like that?"

"YOU INSOLENT LITTLE BASTARD! How DARE you insult me!"

'At least he didn't demand I stop.' Ingo would've said something further, but Perci breathed a sigh of relief when the Wizzrobe stuck out his tongue, bite marks clear on it. No talking for a few merciful seconds. He kept his head hung, but the fairy could see the look of hate in his eyes, didn't know what he was expecting with that, but without those bindings she knew he would've attempted regicide. And promptly die. She wished anyone could hear her outside her little glass jar, the kid needed a conscience more than they knew.

Ingo raised his head to note the entrance of a new person, followed by the scary lady with a big ass sword and heavy ass armor. Sigrid and the Princess Zelda herself. Even Ingo knew to not go any further with taunting the dipstick prince, that could come later. Preferably when he could fight back. Ohhh, yes, then he'd see how strong royalty was.

"And I would very much like for you to join us, Prince Shah. I believe the subject of our discussion will interest you greatly. Besides that, there's another matter that we need to talk about."

'Is this about the assault?' Ingo's ears perked up, his curiosity

"Anything to leave the company of these imbeciles."

"Pot, my name is kettle-" Ingo muttered, but caught himself before hopefully anyone could hear him.

"Anything you lot would like to divulge with me that you haven't with Lady Impa already?"

"I could consider drawing a map of Vaati's island, he probably hasn't changed the layout much and I got a good birds eye view of it often. It'd be going off memory though." Ingo said sheepishly, trying to make himself something useful before the looting and smart assery came around and bit him in the behind.
