Why does this look good? How... what! I do not understand, the premise sounds so bad but it looks kind of freaking awesome.

Thoughts about this movie before seeing this trailer: That's nothing special. They have a lot of shows and movies based on Lego sets. Also, I don't think it will be that awesome.

Thoughts about this movie after seeing this trailer: HOLY HELL YES! I LITERALLY HAD A NOSTALGASM THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TRAILER.

I don't know if it's clear enough, but I'm excited about this movie.

My body is ready. It's going to be a movie I won't delay seeing (like every other one).

I can't believe this is now a thing.

I'm totally glad that this is now a thing.

If they put this guy in I will wet my pants. This was the shit when I was a kid!

All these people going on about the Lego movie...

And I'm just thinking "...I heard "Take on Me" in Dubstep..."

I'm not sure what to think. On one hand it looks like a nice comedy but on the other hand what does it being lego add? I just don't see how being "LEGO" adds anything to a movie?

Pause the video around 41 seconds in and look in the background behind the mermaid. :)

All my childhood. Thanks!

OK... I mean, there have been lego movies in the past. (Mostly Bionicles and similar stuff) but uh... That was officially much more awesome than I expected.

Then again, I may be a little biased, seeing as lego was... most of my childhood. XD

Lego has been moving into film in television, with a direct to DVD version of the cutscenes from "Lego Batman 2", plus a ninja television show on CN (I have seen about five seconds of it so I have no idea if it was good or not).

Lego is doing it as an attempt to A. advertise and B. try to actually make money. Lego's high quality toy making is expensive and they have lost a lot of money over the last decade.

It does look like this is being made in "stop motion", although I wonder if that is CGI made to look like stop motion, or some combination of both.

Is it me, or are a lot of movies starting to bank on the Nostalgia factor now? I mean there was Wreck-it Ralph pulling in all those old videogames we love (For cameos), now there's this? And that's not even mentioning reboots or redos...

Don't get me wrong, these movies have been great, but I worry that movies are going to start banking on the Nostalgia factor a bit more now...
>_>

Umm...

Lego has been around for a LONG time, but they have really found their stride with adapting Legos into other media after their success with the "Lego Star Wars/Harry Potter/Batman/City/Schindler's List/etc" games.
