History:
Elijah was born to an elven father and a human mother. They were both disowned by their respective families, him for being a meta human, and her for being with one.
Without a home of their own, they lived like nomads on the streets, moving from place to place and never staying in one spot for too long.
Unfortunately, one place they were staying was part of territory over which two rival gangs were in dispute. His parents were killed as bystanders from a drive-by that was a result of the ensuing turf war.
Orphaned, and only 7 years old, Elijah had to fend for himself on the dangerous streets of Seattle. He learned the basics of how to survive, as well as thrive. He observed the way that scroungers and thieves operated, and he soon learnt how to beg, con and steal his way to a full stomach. He had a few run ins with the law, and so he quickly learnt how to navigate the city, and how to handle the feds. With the constant threat that surrounded him you'd think a seven year old might be an easy target, but he soon learned just where to cut a man to make a him squeal like a pig, as was what the harsh world required of him.
One day, he made the mistake of picking the pocket of what turned out to be a notable member of the Cutters. At first he wanted to make an example out of Eli, but instead the ganger saw potential in the young boy, and wanted to mold him to become one of his own. He took him under his wing, and introduced him to the rest of the gang.
Throughout the years, Elijah slowly worked his way up the ranks, from a simple mook, to becoming a liutenant. He began to show his talent at "persuasion", as well as his skills with a knife. All of his subordinates looked up to this young man who had become one of the gang's most influential members. He took on the alias of "Edge" due to his preference with bladed weapons, eschewing his birth name and determined to reforge his destiny. He would become the best of the best; a somebody.
Alas, it was not to be, a group of jealous underlings conspirated against Edge, framing him for a murder that he did not commmit. It was a dirty murder, one of a local politician, and the bastards had been very thorough to incriminate him. Edge was forced to go even further underground, becoming a ghost, a rumour, a story of another young ganger who got too big for his boots.
But Edge couldn't stand to be stuck in mediocrity any longer, forced to live like any other street punk. He pulled his remaining strings to set up contact with a representative of a certain company, who needed his "expertise". The pay was good, very good, so good in fact that ever since his first job, Edge never looked back. The money financed his increasing arsenal, which in turn furthered the amount of jobs. Now he is slowly regaining his influence, until he can legitimately live the life he always felt he deserved.
Reason to be here/things to do:
Edge has spent his whole life on the street, in the shadows. He was born here, raised here, and if it comes to it he will die here.
He craves for the finer things in life, and will do anything to get them.
Personality:
Ambitious, cunning, blunt, light hearted. These are all words that describe Edge. He is always trying to improve his influence, as well as his wealth. He dreams of a life above being a runner, a life outside of the street.
As he is still young, although he has street smarts, he is still naive when it comes to some things, especially technology and women. He is very pragmatic, viewing people as tools for him to use, which can also include befriending them if necessary.
He is immature despite having to live by himself, and he has never had a true friend.
Edge constantly chews gum, and can seen the majority of the time blowing bubbles with it.
Notable skills:
He is an artist with bladed weapons, specifically with knives, both in melee and ranged combat; has extremely impressive aiming skills with projectile (non gun) weaponry; is formidable in hand to hand combat and can improvise bladed weapons (shanks) from his surroundings/everyday items. Edge is also an accomplished free runner, able to manouver various urban terrain with ease.
Equipment:
Edge carries a trench knife that he uses in CQC, as well as a number of ceramic throwing knives on his person, that are undetectable on metal detectors; 2 "tracker" knives with a 2km range; a Barrage Pistol Knife for extra firepower, 2 SK Nurikens for back up, and a couple of flashpaks for easy escapes.

The Merchant: A resident black market arms dealer. He is the man Edge visits for all his weapons, including his more high tech ones. Sells everying from crowbars, to knives, to guns, to lasers. He wears a tattered black trench-coat along with a large sandy backpack with a purple bandanna covering the lower portion of his face.
"Soap": A man who Edge use to contact to "clean" crime scenes. His company, called Absterge Cleaning are "The Number 1 cleaning crew in Seattle!". They are the go to guys on disposing of pesky physical evidence.
