From DragonLance Chronicles 3: Dragon Winter:

"He bent his and shuddered violently in his wet clothes." (Translated from Swedish.)

And now I'm really tempted to re-read the whole DragonLance series...

Jeff Lindsay, Darkly Dreaming Dexter.

For some reason I could not explain that seemed so right, so necessary, that for a moment I just looked out across the water, watching it shimmer, so very perfect.

Born October 1994, so Page 94 on The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents.

Find a snapper trap that hasn't been made safe.

It was when a rat was whimperingand had been posiened I think so they were looking for a trap that they hadn't made safe so it could die quickly.

I don't think it has anything to do with me, but the next sentence does which is'Do it carefully'.

4th full sentence, page 81, Naked Lunch by Bill Burroughs:

"When he is angered the charge of it will blow his monocle across the room"

Yeah, that was fun. I wanna go again! EDIT: I should get a monocle!

same, Jospeh Conrad's Heart of Darkness:

"It is strange how I accepted this unforeseen partnership, this choice of nightmares forced upon me in the tenebrous land invaded by these mean and greedy phantoms."

Yep, means nuthin'. OK, that's enough for me. Thanks for the goofy forum game! =)

Okay I'm going to go for the last three books I've read. I am of March, 1994 so it'll be the third sentence of the 94th page. 9th day as well so that'll be my "word" (Ninth word of the third sentence of the 94th page).

A Clockwork Orange - Anthony Burgess

"There it was again, all the old ultra-violence and vecks with their gullivers smashed and torn krovvy-dripping ptitsas creeching for mercy, the like private and individual fillying and nastiness"

Well, thats a great start. A description of violence. Makes me feel loved. Well it could've been a lot worse I guess.

The Word: "And" Well that sucks.

The Metamorphosis - Franz Kafka

While the story itself is only 50 pages my copy has essays and notes on the text. This brings the total up to 194 pages. Also since these are notes while they are in a book by Kafka this part was written in an analysis by Luke.

"Or is not illness a kind of holiness, and anguished primitive fantasy the substance of art and religion, and may not the energy of savage instinct serve the loftiest aims?"

I actually quite like that. Illness a kind of holiness, savage instinct serving lofty aims. Its quite good.

The Word: "And" Again? You've got to be kidding me.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? - Philip K. Dick

First of all I love this book. I read it cover to cover in a single sitting, something I haven't done in a long while. That is why I'm hoping I get a good sentence (as there are many in the book).

"'They'll take your statement at the Hall of Justice,' Officer Crams interrupted."

Okay so this doesn't seem like much but really its in between two incredible parts bridging them. While I know I could have gotten a better line I'm moderately happy with this one.

The Word: "Justice" Well this is a lot better then "And". I'm quite pleased.

Bonus Book (Current Book): The Diving Bell and The Butterfly - Jean-Dominique Bauby

I've just started this book but I'll include it anyway for fun.

"We thread our way through a moving forest of ice-cream cones and crimson thighs."

I'd comment...but I haven't reached this page yet so I'm clueless.

The Word: "Of" Well hot damn. I have absolutely no luck when it comes to the word.

Uh oh... erm... I must mention now that I am half Japanese... here goes :p

Born: Feburary 1991

Book: 吾輩は猫である

Page 91, sentence 2: それが大事件かとわらうなら、わらうがいい。そんな人には大事件ではないまでだ。吾輩は主人の

Win =D I think I deserve a cookie for this ^-^

...Spence is a cat? Never heard of it.

OT: Dracula, page 91, line 6.

"By the kindness of the Board of Trade inspector, I have been permitted to look over the log-book of the Demeter, which was in order up to within three days, but contained nothing of special interest except as to facts of missing men."

Kind of boring, no?

Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake, page 89, sentence 7:

"His face was pale like clay and save for his eyes, masklike."

Not a description I'd want applied to me.

She even tried one which every romantic nerve in her body insisted should work, which consisted of theatrically giving up, sitting down, and letting her glance fall naturally on a patch of earth which, if she was in any decent narrative, should contain the book.
That is a very long sentence...

Or a shorter one. (Yes, I was bored enough to find it in two books...)

This is turning into one hell of a fur ball.

Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox...

page 89 sentence 13...

''There is no time for it''

Basically the antithesis of my existence. A more apt sentence would be... ''There is to much time without anything''.

yeah. therefore this thread be silly.
How can it be sentence 13, when there are only 12 months?

Mine is from the Sherlock homes collection, page 87, sentence 12: "So rapidly does the brain act that I had thought this all out before Professor Moriarty had reached the bottom of Reichenbach Fall." I guess it kind of resembles me.

Rather than saying "alll warfare is based on deception" like I normally do, I'll go with Giles Fodens, The Last King of Scotland:

'Goodness!' he said. 'You must be doctor Garrigan!'
