Asheron's call had a few unique mechanics going for it, one was if you attacked a certain mob in a certain area it would send out a SOS to all mobs of that type in the entire area, so you would see your whole radar go red as 100s of mobs just rushed in on your position. there was this one tower down near qualbar or something like that where if you attacked a mob near the tower you could run up into the tower and have the mobs just swarm the tower.
AC also had a wi flag it was called, where you could get tagged as "it" randomly and you would draw aggro from all mobs int he area, it was very rare and you normally heard of someone that knew someone kinda deal, so you never were 100% sure if the wi flag did exist, but one day in the statue dungeons i got flagged and every mob of the caster types came after me form every floor of the dungeon they would keep coming into whatever room i was in to attack me lol. i remember hiding back in a hall while my guildmates were out there mowing them down while they tried to mass nuke me behind the wall, this lasted all night until either i died or we left i really do not recall how we left.
the witcher games, how the people react when it rains, taking shelter etc, it always seemed to do that stuff and add that extra bit of immersion better than any other games.
fallout 2 but there was just too much omg stuff you could do in that game period. to go through it all.
skyrim modded up with hd mods, including the realistic water mods, can look just amazing when looking at waterfalls and such. also the night skies with the auroras just look amazing period.
dcu online the bit i played it in beta had some nice touches for fan service like your mentor showing up randomly while your are patrolling and tell you i have my eye on you, or make comments about your progress, plus some of the music i think was ripped out of the series and was played in the appropriate areas is lest cool the first time of few you enter those areas.
