My nomination for worst load time is Borderlands. Seriously, I could make a sandwich in the time it takes to go from one area to another. [HEADING=3] AND I HAVE. [/HEADING]
it's actually the security camera view of Rubi in an elevator impatiently pressing the open button because she's tired of waiting. I actually thought it was a tiny bit clever.TheNamlessGuy said:Worst Attempts to Disguise Loading:
Doesn't Wet make you look at Rubi smoking or some stuff?
Going to say that but my nominee for best use of loading screens, Fallout 3. The loading screens would show you snippets of what happened before the bombs fell. Being that I never played the first games, this was much more interesting rather than staring at a blank screen making the game more immersive in my opinion.L3m0n_L1m3 said:My nomination for worst load time is Borderlands. I bought it just last week, and while this is annoying as fuck, I didn't go into them often enough to care.Dark knifer said:Force unleashed had alot of loading screens. I mean, it had to load just for the pause menu, that annoyed me alot.
Is THAT why some of the doors wouldn't open easily? I thought the game MP3 just had more or less buggy doors, I even ended up concluding that it helped to not be too close to them when you shot at them.LivingInStereo said:The Metroid Prime games do a pretty good job of concealing the "loading screen"-it isn't a screen per se, but you're not doing anything other than waiting for the door.
You do know that's a minigame, right?TheNamlessGuy said:W

Okami for the Wii
Seriously? Foot tracks?
Lost Odyssey did have like 10 seconds before the battle starts, but most battles lasted rather long for an RPG. Still, REALLY LONG. Last Remnant...I got no clue.kawaiiamethist said:Long, frustrating loading times:

WOW! Holy shit! I'm going to go get that right now! Could I do that in the PS2 version that I already had?!TheNamlessGuy said:Yeah, you can draw tracks by moving the cursor along the screen.miracleofsound said:You do know that's a minigame, right?
[sarcasm]Fun![/sarcasm]
Yes but you can win stuff, like if you time the paws to get bigger at the right moment you can get Demon Fangs.TheNamlessGuy said:Yeah, you can draw tracks by moving the cursor along the screen.miracleofsound said:You do know that's a minigame, right?

Actually, they're called the "Loading Bars". They're big rectangles. I'm cheap with the imaginary trophies.Antiparticle said:Loading Awards? Can we call them 'The Loadies'? "And the Loady for Longest Loading Screen goes to..."
As for nominations, the text in the loading screens in Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard make me chuckle.
