Bottom line there is absolutely no good reason why we don't have a male pill already and I am looking forward to the day when men can take responsibility for birth control.
I thought I was already doing that by keeping a condom in my wallet.
Actually, keeping a condom in your wallet will cause the heat from your body to deteriorate it. I tried using a condom I had in my wallet one time, but of course with my luck I got with an OB/GYN nurse and she gave me an earful. I'm just trying to save you the hassle.

Think I'd just rather not have sex, or wear a condom than risk never having kids. I'll pass on this pill.
What makes you think it'll be much different from the female Pill? That thing is honestly a Godsend. It'll probably be identical to the female Pill with a few modifications. You know, since guys don't have ovaries or uterus'. And since the female Pill has been used successfully since the sixties, the male Pill won't make your penis explode, you won't become sterile, and all the other silly worries you've thought about. Yeah, there will still be the worry about STDs, but you should get tested regularly anyway.

This might actually be a good thing since I hear most of my guy friends moan about how condom takes a lot of feeling out of sex.

By reading this thread, I guess I am the only guy who really likes the idea of a male pill. Finally I can stop thinking whether the girl took the pill on time or not!
But you've got the support of a female member :p

I love the idea of the Male pill dont get me wrong man, its the testing it i dont like, recent testing of componds to create the Male Pill have so far made the male Irreversibly sterile.

Should they nail it then I'm all for it, after a few years of being sold to the consumer with no side effects then I'd buy a years supply, but i tell you, my partner would kill me if i ever took away her chances of having a child so you should understand my nervousness about the whole thing.

Thank god im not testing it.

Storing condoms in your wallet isn't the best idea, as the friction and constant temperature changes can cause the latex to weaken and holes to develop.

Well, it's about time. There's a huge difference between what girls can do to prevent conception and what guys can do. Time to make things a bit more even. And I really, really doubt that anything would happen to permanently damage your *ahem* fellas. And to all you guys saying that a condom is a substitute for the pill, it isn't. A tiny rip, or if the latex is slightly deteriorated, and nine months later you could be meeting a drain on your wallet for the next 18 years, maybe longer if you decide to marry the girl.

Now let's say that you've had a girlfriend for several years and you're both loyal to each other. She is taking the pill, but is rather forgetful. You probably don't want to go back to the beginning days of having to use a condom every single time, but don't want to worry every time she misses her period. If you both take the pill, then the chances of getting her pregnant are slim to none, and you can rest easy knowing that if she ends up getting pregnant anyway, it's not your fault :p

To a lot of the guys being automatically negative towards this, grow up. It's not like there are doctors taking a hedge trimmer to your balls or anything.

This sounds wonderful to me because I typically find condoms uncomfortable and without them much more enjoyable... but I'd really rather not have any kids at this point in time and "No" is very difficult to say when you haven't seen your partner in weeks. It really doesn't sound much different from the female pill, and as I remember some certain more favorable side effects my friends experienced from that pill (I'll leave it at they needed a new set of undergarments) It sounds like a more and more wonderful idea. Put yourself on the pill, you don't have babies and your parter's a bit happier (or upset, depending on your circumstances)... and get your girlfriend on the pill too, perfect excuse to go buy sexy lingerie.
I saw a few posts to the effect of "if it doesn't work you get her preggers", I'd like to remind everyone that no form of prevention is one hundred percent effective, especially abstinence only sex-ed (dear god the lies they told me). I'd say go with whatever works for you, and if you can do more than one thing, then wonderful, get her on the pill, wrap your willy and go at it, as for me I'd rather have myself and my partner each on the pill, with emergency condom's nearby (for if we forgot to take them, ran out, whatever).
That said, I'd like to see the full range of side effects before I take anything that targets my junk. Regardless the complications of the pill, they'll probably be less complicated than guilt after an abortion or a kid knocking on your door 17 years later asking you why you don't love them.

I think that it's silly. The female "pill" has several uses, and can help control hormones and their menstrual cycles.
Even that is sketchy. It's not 100%. Just "sometimes might help acne," "might see decrease in cramping during menstruation."

Bad far outweighs the good as far as pill contraceptives are concerned. Another thing you men should be happy to not deal with.
I totally understand what you're saying. I was just saying that at least the female pill has some extra uses. A male pill seems far less useful than just using protection during sex.

Kids don´t use drugs
kids use drugs all the time! well, teens and idiot adults, anyways.

or did you mean "kids, don't use drugs"? punctuation makes a huge difference. a panda bear eats shoots and leaves; but another panda bear eats, shoots, and leaves. let me know if you noticed anything
I men´t to put the punctuation in but forgot.Usually have those, just forgot that time.
