Well, we've all had our little misadventures. Some of them were, "It seemed like a good idea at the time" moments. Some were simply good ideas gone wrong. Some were bad ideas from the very beginning.

So, my fellow Escapists, share your stories of any misadventures that you may have had.

Do try to keep it reasonable though. I don't want anyone to get probation or worse because of their stories.

Misadventures eh? Well, about a month ago, my brother and I were at the Farm Show in Ottawa. After we were done, we decided to see if we could go to the Byward Market in downtown to go out for lunch. Half and hour later, we had somehow managed to end up on the Gatineau side of the river, and we we stuck driving down god knows what road for a good 40 minutes before we found the highway back to Ottawa.

That sounds lik something that I would do. I get lost easily though, so it's not surprising when it happens to me. XD

You know, your threads are good, but you really should make it a habit of answering your own question as well in the OP :p

OT: I've had faaaaar too many. Mostly of things where I got scapegoated for things I'm unaware of despite not having actually done anything at all >.<
Oh, I've had a few. XD

Like the time I accidentally shot my friend's little sister (she was 4 or so at the time) point blank with a BB gun and it hit her right above her right eyebrow. In my defense, I thought it was a noise gun with the orange part busted off, and I was standing there holding it, and she just happened to be sitting on the business end of the thing when something happened and I got startled and squeezed the trigger. I want to say I was about 8 or so when it happened. I swear she had that speech problem before I shot her. Honestly, she did. XD

I once misread teaspoons as tablespoons while trying to make brownies for a party for this girl I liked and put in too much salt. I ruined two batches. >.>

Once, when I was about 5, I was running from someone, when I turned to see how far they were behind me, they pointed in front of me and when I turned around, I ran into an oak tree. It knocked me out. XD

Did the same, actually quite recently :D. A friend was coming towards me (with the intention of beating me up for teh lulz (not srsly though)). I turned around as fast as i could and smacked my face into a tree. Quite alot of blood i must say.

Had a birthday party (16th if you must know) and due to being in England (A Land that has a high amount of alcohol and cannabiss) had a very interesting night...

Next thing I knew I woke up at 6am in bed with my Ex's friend who was wearing only one of my t shirts.....Awkward.

I've had more than enough adventures in Groups/Clans/whatever-name-you that binds people who only know each other online into weird situations. Most notably people who take certain objectives and ideas in the internet realm far too seriously.
It all started with when I joined a clan called "[MC]" in Star Wars Battlefront. Me being the oldest member of the clan (I was dumb when I was 17) and only one proficient with Photoshop and windows movie maker quickly became a popular member. It wasn't long before I stopped caring and other members of the clan did too and overall was a rather strange and... unlikable (for lack of a better word) experience.

My first time drinking resulted in me getting a fair buzz and fun conversation with friends and classmates, but afterwards it was a rather anomalous discovery that me being buzzed gives me a headache.

When I was a child, I figured I should jump down from my hammock, onto a mattress and try to do a grab.

Landed on my knees. Hurt.

There was this one time in elementary school where I figured bringing habanero to school would be fun. By the end of the day, I was no longer allowed to bring chili to school.

Do tell.

OT: Hmmm... Where to begin... Drinking six or so cans of Red Bull, among other energy drinks when I was out for an evening. It's a painful moment I would rather not elaborate on. Instead, I'll let the community think of funnt situations and laugh.

I've had a lot of experiences of minor theft (anything that isn't nailed down) and nights spent running around, climbing and falling off things.

A Specific misadventure: One night I was out with a housemate and we met one of her friends who was a casual dealer and it was his birthday (5th nov Firework night). He spiked his spliffs with some chemical shit without telling us and we all spent the rest of the night thinking we were under attack from fireworks and hiding under the cliffs. Went back to the dealer's place for a few hours and stared at a mobius, did some finger painting and listened to crap music.

Left his house at 9am having not slept, stinking of weed and with a housemate going through a massive downer *and* trying not to puke 'cos of all the crap she took. I had red eyes and she had powder nose going on and people around us were off going to work.

I lived next door to a drugs and alcohol clinic and when the taxi driver dropped us of he refused to take our money because of how bad we looked. Guess he assumed that's where we were going.

Woke up in a ditch on a building site in Malia once.

I'd like to say it was a fun night but I honestly couldn't tell you. On the other hand, I hadn't been beaten up and my bum wasn't bleeding; so I reckon it probably was. Wouldn't do it again though.
