The most annoying kind of gamer?

The most annoying gamer to me is the kind that whines the entire game about everyone else's tactics, then tries to use said tactics, fails and whines some more. I've come across far too many lately.

Funnily enough these are the kids that are probably far too young to be playing in the first place and misuse swears and slurs to be cool. That drives me nuts, but at the same time I like to mess with them to see how irrationally angry I can make them (it's really not very difficult)... Hmm, what type of gamer does that make me?

Also, one I neglected to mention, fricken backseat gamers! Oh my god, stfu and gtfo.

I'm inclined to agree.

I'm proud to say I'm friends with a few, and each exhibits their own, unique breed of annoyance.

I feel that, if combined, they have the ability to irritate me to the nth degree.
It's poetic in a way, really.

I'm friends with the 'hey you have to go do this this and this' type, and he doesn't seem to realise that you're going to go friggen do that after the task at hand.
For example, Borderlands, he kept telling me to OMG GO GET THAT AMMO THAT AMMO IS FOR YOUR GUN while I was trying to fight off about a millon Skags. D:

Cheaters, people who exploit glitches and such (Like putting turrents under the map in TF2 D:< ) just so they can win. Sure it ruins everyone else's good time but all that matters is that win right? Also, people who are really good and look down on others who aren't as good as them, I'm sorry that I wasn't blessed with your supernatural ability for playing video games. Why don't you go somewhere else and try to find someone to play with?

That's one of the reasons why I only play Grand Theft Auto IV alone. That game is like a backseat gamer's paradise.

I just hate the MLG fanboys and players, and almost everyone on Xbox Live. Honestly, you can't go into a single game of any shooter without running into some douchebag fratboys who call you a "f*g," which is bad enough by itself, but do it just because you don't spend as much time as they do watching ricks and strategy video on Youtube. I once joined a Modern Warfare 2 game, saw that my team was losing horribly, and left. Then, one of the other guys that it would be appropriate to send me a mocking message afterwards.

Honestly, whether it's Microsoft or the makers of the games, someone really needs to crack down on all this negativity in games, because a lot of their customers don't like it.

Lemmings.

These are the kids in multiplayer games who find a camper, and then rush him over and over, trying to beat him, yet they never change their tactics. These kids have made me lose more games than anything else, because not only do I have to go positive in a game, but with them around, I have to go positive enough to cover their deaths. NOT FUN.

That's a great term, I'll use that from now on because I often see this behavior in TF2. When I run smack-dab into a turrent or, say, a demoman's mines I think "Okay, what class could I use to kill that mofo?" and the lemmings seem to think "I'll just keep picking the Scout because he can outruns bullets! YEEEEAAH-. Oops, I died again. I'm going to pick the scout again!"

I can't stand the Stop Having Fun Guys types who look down their noses at anyone who'd rather tinker with a game and find something that works for them rather than go to GameFAQs or some wiki and look up how to get THE MOST DPS in every possible situation. Then again, the game designers encourage that sort of shit, so it's partially on them---I prefer to play games where the player is given more freedom and the balance is better.

Trolls. I know every forth person with a mic is a troll on XBL, But ones that just repeat whatever you say in a stupid voice, Or talk over you.

And people who smacktalk. Fucktards. If i own another team I dont shout "OH YEAAAHHHH MAH BAWLS IN URRRREEE MOOOOUUUFFFFF!", I go "good game.", If i lose by a huge margin i go "Damn...I failed then" - Its fucktards that smacktalk that just make me lose faith/interest in a game.

How about people who bring completely unrelated things into games to insult you because they're losing? I had someone tell me the reason I beat them was purelu because I'm a 'stuck-up private school *****'. Apparently school makes you better at gaming?

Pretty much everyone online:

- hackers/cheaters
- younger players that whine or brag constantly
- elitists, (omg get over yourselves)
- hmmm how about those people who endlessly drone on about about nothing
- or the ones who endlessly play sound clips about nothing
- lemmings, as mentioned above - please try something new >.>
- My favorite - those how blame the rest of the team for failure (you'll know these guys by the tone of their voice. "YOU SUCK" even before the round starts. I see this mostly in TF2 for some reason)

I've pretty much given up on teamwork except for rare occasions when I run skype or vent with a handful of friends and privately communicate tactics, otherwise I mute the mic and put on some heavy metal. =^.^=

About the only gamers I actually like are the ones who attempt to coordinate strategy or remain calm and type gg (goodgame) after a round. Those guys/gals are cool but so few and far between unfortunately.

I don't hold anything against new players or ones that aren't very experienced. They're still learning the game and should be having fun, not getting criticized left and right. That's not fair to them.

Tech nerds, definately. The type of person that won't play anything that isn't made for a HD TV. The type of person that spends more time adjusting their speakers than playing the game. The type of person that mocks the 16 inch desktop TV that you game on and doesn't understand why a game like Baldur's Gate or Monkey Island can still be good in this daay of glistening 3d graphics and realistic physics engines.

Basically every gamer I know in real life is like this and it irritates me.
