This. Also VATS headshots on Super Mutants and the ending cinematic of Diablo II. Good God was that game brilliantly atmospheric (minus the entirety of the second act, I thought the whole bright, spacious desert thing was a bit incongruous).Stronghold Crusader: Seeing an enemy castle consumed by flame.
If you dug that, you should try Just Cause 2.Eagle Est1986 said:First seeing the outside world in Oblivion. I actually just stood there for a few seconds, taking it all in.

My vote goes to taking in the view from any of the high peaks in that game.
Tied with that would be seeing a super mutant head explode in slo-mo from a killer VATS shot. Watching my wife play the other day, I'm still hypnotized by it.
@ knife: that was pure, sheer, unadulterated badassery. and quite cathartic if i must say so.pretentiousname01 said:Knifing the guy in the face at the end of mw2

Well, I'm going old school and saying the first time I got to the Bloodmoon expansion in Morrowind and it started snowing. It is one of my favorite moments of gaming wandering around Solstheim with a gentle snow falling and the theme music at a full swell. Oblivion may use more bloom, but you just can't beat that.Chapper said:Me too. I was so tired of walking around in that dark, gloomy castle dungeon, so stepping out into the bright and beautifull outdoors, gazing down at the river, seeing the mountains and a butterfly flying by was nothing but breathtaking.sicDaniel said:That is exactly what i wanted to post.Eagle Est1986 said:First seeing the outside world in Oblivion.
