The King of the Hill copypasta on Encyclopedia Dramatica.
Rape.
Murder.
Mutilation.

I was in hysterics afterwards. No one I know besides me has been able to read the whole thing.
I...erm...just...read this. I wish I hadn't now.

Read too many to remember them. Including quite a few that made me sick. However what I think is worst is the complete lack of quality control a lot of fanfic sites have.
"Horribly written piece about graphical rape and death while being raped by character? It's totally in character and will get loads of praise."

Is that the one with Hank Getting tortured ? because that was some fucked up shit.

Edited due to my horrible punctuation use.

I can't remember the title, but there was a Super Smash Bros fanfic where the Smash Mansion was infested with zombies and the Smashers were having toruble fighting them off, even, I kid you not, Princess Zelda gets zombified.

Also, there was.. well, this KND fanfic here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7383253/1/Training_hours

As if constantly making shirtless Wally requests on DeviantArt wasn't disturbing enough, he had to request something like that?

any twilight fanfic ever. But looking at the source material it isn't surprising... oh wait that i've ever read?
Actually, given how shit Twilight is, there's a good chance of finding stuff better than the original material among fanfiction.
Well he said disturbing not actually bad or anything. I mean the fact that there are lemon fics between the Carlilse and edward (I know this because of drunk web browsing at 2 am) is a pretty sad statement about the human race.
Carlisle? Was he Edwards' 'dad'? I'd bet that's not the worst thing one could find...

And, well, Twilight is kinda disturbing, what with the way it potrays romance, and what makes it especially disturbing is that it's popular.

There are only two kinds of fan fiction in the world: pornographic and non-pornographic. The pornographic is rather self-explanatory and the non-pornographic is usually full of ridiculous scenarios and situations that could have been written up by a Kindergarder who was unfortunate enough to have had some read Twilight to them.

So the the first kind is something that I would rather not get into and the latter kind is just so horrible that it's a pain to read for more than a minute.

Notable culprits are Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh! (because none of the main characters want the only chick with the ridiculously large rack that are attracted to them!), and I guess the Twilight Saga (I guess the only losers of this fan fic aside from the readers are the poor saps that get paired with that unappealing, stone-faced, brooding chick).

My Immortal -- I read it, then found this.

This man reads the fic EXACTLY how its written. Its fucking hilarious. With picture commentary and smart ass remarks

Also the Draco Trilogy as it was recommended to me as AMAZING and it was said that it would make me fall in love with HP fanfic. Well I still hate all fanfic and couldn't get through the second part of the Draco series.
My god . . . thank you for that link. I'm now going to stare at my screen in horror due to the utter murder of the English language being committed by the writer and laugh at the snarky comments made by the reader.

EDIT: Oh, OT: I don't read fanfiction. Not really my kind of thing, even when it's good.

This. I've never been offended by the actual content of fanfiction, including My Immortal. But to think there MIGHT be somebody out there who ACTUALLY thinks what they're writing is cool enough to warrant 40+ fucking chapters, not to mention the horrific rape of grammar (and characters) that occurs is disgusting in and of itself.

GOFFICK. Seriously? Ugh.

OP: I wrote fanfiction for Invader Zim when I was 12, and was heavily criticized by the fiction community I posted in for trying to remain as faithful to the show as possible. So, trying to please them, I actually read a few examples of what they considered "good".

Fucking hell. Apparently drama-queen, angsty Mary Sues are the only type of characters fanfiction readers can tolerate. I haven't dealt with that load of horseshit since then.
Wait wait wait, let me just see if I understand you correctly; you were chastised for trying to stay faithful to the show. ...what? o_O

To all the Sweet Apple Massacre and Cupcakes fans, go read *shudders* Pattycakes part 1 and 2...
It is at least 10 times worse than Cupcakes, without any of the gore.

Day of Edd was pretty damn disturbing. It was well written, excellent grammar, and description.

The reason why it was so disturbing was because Edd goes on a killing Rampage. >.>

I don't know why people hate cupcakes so much. I thought it was a pretty funny fan fiction, and much better written then most. The sequel, at least one of them, is even better!

OT: I don't read a lot of fan fiction, so I haven't really found one I could say I hated. I did read a Mass Effect one that just made me roll my eyes and scratch me head, but I can't remember the name or story. Sorry guys.

Wow, I just revisited the "Masterpiece Fanfic Theatre" series I used to watch and so this thread is here! For me, having only listened to them, I would say... "Wolfblood Lineage"

It's awesome that there are so horrible fan fictions that they are actually famous for it.

I don't read grimdark myself, I am tempted to read cupcakes sometime though.

I have an almost Nazi-istic approach to bad punctuation or spelling,so anything with mistakes in it I don't lay eyes on, but one of the most disturbing FF's I've read was:

SQUAD BROKEN

Ah Warhammer 40k. so much fun.

Ah My Immortal, one of the great works of modern literacy. My avatar comes from there :)
I will make sure the phrases "ludicrous fools" and "mediocre dunces" go down in history if it kills me.

OT: My Immortal, or Cloud Mows the Lawn.
