Now I ain't talking about what made you cry, that belongs to sadness.
Simply put, what in a game, be it cutscene or in-game, got the strongest emotionl pull from you.
I have two that I want to put forward, one is the Christmas level from Elite Beat Agents. One level that comes out of nowhere and puts the game out of its wackiness factor.
I read about people who had this level get to them, and, well, I never thought it would hit me hard, having read and prepared for it. But. still, towards the end, I could feel my eyes dampening, and I felt like I'd been punched in the throat.
It got to me. The sudden atmosphere change, the beats and claps being changed to bells and chimes, and that damn song, got to me.
Sorry for the TL;DR, but I needed that off my chest since Christmas.
My second was a relatively small case, in Bioshock, having just rescued a Little Sister, I sent her on her merry way to the nearest vent. Halfway there she was attacked by a Splicer. They hit her with a pipe, and she dropped to the floor. Dead cannot even describe what happened to that Splicer. I thought for sure that negligence had just cost me the life of a little girl.
Then the Little Sister got up and began to make her way to the vent again. I beat down Splicers that even so much as sneezed near the Sister. Once again, completely out of nowhere, wasn't expecting it, and afterwards I began to oversee every Little Sisters safe return to a vent, whereas before, I assumed Infant Immortality had kicked in after I rescued them.
What made you swear vengeance on a person, what warmed your heart, what lifted your sporits, and yes, what made your eyes just that little bit damp?
Couldn't find anything related to emotional gaming moments, burn me if you need to, but goddamn it I tried to find one.

Little Lucy, age 7, wants her father, Matthew to return from his business trip in time for Christmas. Unfortunately, her father appears to have died in an accident, as Lucy's mother, Laura tries to explain.
Lucy refuses to belive this, and wishes that her father would be home for Christmas. Then the game begins. What's interesting to note is that typically, a level begins with the character screaming for help. This one does not, Lucy is kneeling, tears clearly in her eyes, and wishing for her father to come back.
Also noteworthy is the Agents dancing in this level, while they typically bust out the moves they need to save the day, in this one, all they do is wave their hands to the rhythm of the song, "You're the Inspiration."
As the songs story progresses, Lucy and her mother clean her father's room, stumbling across his diary, they then bake a cake to celebrate his birthday, the candles on the cake are put gently out by a sudden gust of wind.
Then we see Lucy dreaming of chasing her father who only appears as a shadow in the distance, performing well in this segment makes Lucy get closer and closer to the silhouette, performing badly means that she lags behind. Completing this segment positively has Lucy call out for her father, and just as the dream ends, he turns to her voice.
The final segment then begins, with a slider bar appearing in the shape of a star, completing this segment has Lucy and Laura trimming a tree and waiting for her father to show.
He does alright, the sheer love and devotion that Lucy and Laura have for Matthew bring him back for Christmas, he also brings a gift for Lucy, a girlfriend for her teddybear, hust like he promised.
