I've never really done a lot of actual, traditional working out. At the moment though, my work is definitely a work out. While I don't unload the truck I'm still stacking and stocking crap on shelves. It isn't that the stuff is overly heavy (except of course the fucking cat litter, dog food and, furniture) it's a long process, 5 to 7 hour days.

i went to work for a man in Virginia helping him bail his vast quantities of hay, each day we averaged 500 bails or so, each weighing approx. 65 pounds (they were a bit damp), the distance to the work site was around 30 miles, which i did on my bike, this continued for 3 straight weeks, by the end i felt like an old man, but it was great fun and i lost around 30 pounds, great workout

I practice martial arts, and it gets pretty intense. The head of the school was trained by Dan Inosanto, who was Bruce Lee's protege (he's going to be at my school this weekend, now that I think of it). The curriculum includes Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Silat, Kickboxing, Western boxing, Panantukan (Filipino boxing), Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, and weapons training. It's not unusual for us to do 600-700 jumping jacks when we do sparring (60-75 second rounds, counted with jj's). And one of the instructors is the current WKA World Champion (I can link a recent fight of his, if anyone is interested or a fan of the sport). It's remarkable if I make it through the warm-up without feeling lightheaded.

They say Chopping wood works every muscle in body, and whether or not thats true, thats something i do fromt ime to time.

I've also played hockey, which is a lot of leg movement, especially when you practice. (EDIT:) Its also a lot of upper body too, cause you have to be ready to take a power shot, a quick flip, and most of all just to be ready to get hit. you cna also generate a lot of your speed with the upper body, since you're on a skate on the ice. I play center/right wing, but I do goalie practices because:

a) sometimes I like to jump in the net and test my reflexes
b) so my friend Ryan doesnt feel alone.

and I have to say, its insanely wearing. And it doesnt help that most of us will attach lead weights to our ankles and wrists just to make us that much faster and stronger.

And from time to time, I have to wake up and chase deer. like, no joke, run after wild deer in the forest and try to catch one. if the buck doesnt decide to turn around and gore you with the horns or any of them just decide to turn around and run you over, its rather difficult. you're chasing a creature designed to be faster then you, and more agile. so when you catch one, its just that much more of an accomplishment.

6 hour run to the mall and back. I think I should stop because I'm getting to skinny
well, thats easy, just buy a ton of chocolate at said mall ;-)

I did quite a bit of hiking as a teenager, and that went up to about 25 Kilometers over Mountainterrain a day for a week.

Yeah I think thats my record.

The most exercise I've ever done has come during baseball and track season. During baseball it was mostly running a few laps around the boundaries of the field. That was followed by doing 75 push-ups and sit-ups with a little bit of rest then another couple laps around the field.

For track though the hardest days were the ab workout days which involved front planks, side planks, back planks, and six inchers. Along with sit-ups, leg lifts, and pretty much every other ab exercise known to mankind. In between all that we would have to run between 200-400m, can't remember which exactly, but all I know is by the time practice was over I was about ready to keel over.

At RT we didn't do much actual PT, you were just constantly on your feet walking everywhere.

But at a Field Medical training I went to you woke up every morning at 5 for a 2 mile run, lots of pushups depending how good of a mood the officer is in, situps, shuttle runs, and a lot more. One day we did 600~ pushups and ran 4 miles for failing barracks inspection, not fun. We usually did 2 hours of PT and then spent the rest of the day dragging/carrying bodies up hills, through rivers all sorts of stuff.

And then there was a day I felt really good so I went for a 2 hour run without stopping, and I wasn't even tired after.

Probably olimpic gymnastics when I was 3-5 years old. That really gets you tired and working.
After that though is what probably what caused me to become a fat-ass.
Maybe the exercise I've done to put down that weight is more, but probably not.
