I was in physics class once and we were talking about how the absence of oxygen and air friction in space allows constant motion. Then some chick behind me raised her hand and asked:
"Can fish breathe in space because there's no oxygen?"
After which I told her

we sell cleaning chemicals and such. some germaphobe woman came in looking for a disinfectant. we showed her our options, but she felt they were too harsh. now, here's the kicker: she had chemical burns on her hands from all the chlorine bleach she'd been using to wipe down every friggin' hard surface in her home. considering that chlorine bleach is both more caustic and less effective than various products we were offering, we had a merry old chuckle. at her expense. and she left without buying anything, which suited us just fine.
