I spent a whole round on counter strike, tired out of my mind, team killing everyone. It wasn't until I tried to pick up the bomb that I realised what I had done.

From WoW: After pvp'ing for hours in old AV, trying to get to a higher rank for the week. With a perfect score and too many kills to remember the floor glitches and my character fell through it, he didn't get out for 4 days and he regressed to the previous rank.

I think a game glitch is not nearly as fail as some acomplishment you do yourself. Though that CS:S story is pretty good, reminds me of that episode from the office where they are playing call of duty 2 to get good co-worker relations.

I would have to say the point (about halfway through) No More Heroes when the boss level consists of one long boring gray corridor which ends not in a boss battle (the only redeeming moments of the game) but a cutscene.

I just couldn't play any farther.

ive had a lot of fail moments but the most recent...
Playing World at War online as the Japanese. I had a bolt action rifle with a bayonet and ive just netted me 3 or 4 kills with it. The flag appears in war and I make a banzai charge towards the enemy...

Meanwhile accross the freaking map some jerk points a grenade launcher into the air and fires blind. that shit flys for a good 6 seconds before it lands on my right foot...

I'm gonna have to say Final Fantasy. People die from wounds as part of the story or something, yet there exists the item Phoenix Down?

Ex Gf: Wheres the scope on this god damn sniper?
Me: Huh...?
Ex Gf: The scope, where is it?
Me: Thats a shotgun...
this killed me because something similiar happened with me and it ended the same way.

Why does this piece of crap only shoot one bullet?
Because it's a shotgun

In-game fail gaming moment: Whenever I decide I'm good enough at an RTS to play it online, one of these moments is sure to ensue.

Out-game fail gaming moment: The announcement that Starcraft 2 was going to be made into three seperate games (*cough* price tags), I'm pretty sure this announcement is what caused Korea to start testing their atom bombs.

My brother managed to kill himself by cooking a grenade. Four times. Consecutively.
It was great fun for me to watch.

I fail every time I try to play Mario Kart. Doesn't matter which one. Every time. Just ouch. I am getting better though. I don't fall into pits or drive into walls as often as I used too.

But see, they are not killed they are knocked out, i have no idea why your hit points knock you out like sub dual damage in DnD 3.5 but it does. swords everything have duct tape all over it to stop the wound from being lethal in any way.

at least that's all i can think of, what made sepheroth the biggest bad guy was he took his duct tape off.

I recently spend about 5 hours trying to run descent 2 on my xp machine only to realise after I finally got it running tha my pc didn't have a port for my ten year old Joystick.
I cried on the inside.

Probably on CoD4, killing what i thought was every member of the enemy team on S&D after a noob tube killed the rest of my team, i was busy teabagging my last kill, thinking i had won when...
BOOM, some guy blasts me in the back of the head with a shotgun. There was much laughter back in the lobby...

On the contrary though, the next game me & my friends devised a brilliant plan where we all made classes with smokes & RPG's, waited in the spawn area 'till the enemy came near, at which point we all threw our smokes and ran through, firing RPG's everywhere.

It was awesome.

I was looking at games in a Gamestop store a few years ago, and saw a kid playing the Jak 3 demo. I took a closer look and I noticed that he was using Wave Constructor...on an airborne metal head.

Whhyyyyyyy?
