I can't really put a finger on mine but arguably the carbine from halo.

I loved the Carbine, better than the BR imo.
As for impractical weapons, a donkey lamp in Dead Rising 2. I mean, really how the hell is that going to be useful in a zombie apocalypse?

Then again i suppose the Dead Rising games are filled with impractical weapons.

A whole bunch of crap from Assassin's Creed 2 falls into this category. The gun was pointless because people would notice you before you get more than one shot off, plus it was inaccurate and the limited amount of ammo you could carry killed it compared with the much more practical method of... running around with a knife. Poison blades are totally pointless but fun.

The prod from worms was badass. Unless of course your a ****-hair too far away from them, in which case you just tried to humiliate them, and you in turn wasted your turn by getting really close to them.

And I second the notion of playing pretty much any Oblivion/Fallout 3 game on the PC. Sure the chinese assault rifle is good, but can it really beat my 25mm Flak Cannon? What about literally wandering the desert with an m4 carbine, a colt peacemaker (with the most satisfying blast sound ever. execution style headshots were never soo awesome.), and a Frenchi Spas 12. User made mods ftw.

And the BB gun didnt used to be useless. Fallout 2 is was the greatest weapon I'd seen in there. You get the sniper perk (upgrades all ranged hits to crits) and shoot them in the various body parts till their totally crippled. Then Shoot them in the balls with a shotgun till they die. You cant get worse of a death than that.

Most useless weapon?

Fishing Pole in WoW. The regular one. Lets see you fight your way out of getting ganked while fishing with that piece of shit.

I like using whipped cream on the survivors. Hey there Kenny! Let me cover you in my white foam!

OT: I think it was Super Double Dragon. There was a beat-em-up on the Super Nintendo and I am pretty sure it was Double Dragon...anyway, you could punch a punching bag down from the ceiling and toss it at enemies for great amounts of damage. There are also speed bags which, if you punch them, do some damage to enemies...and friendly damage too! I always thought that was kind of impractical.

I found the pistol quite useful for assassinations and for generally messing around.

Any handgun with a scope. I'm talking to you fallout 3. There's no practical use for a scope on a handgun, especially if you consider the handgun's effective range in RL is around 50 feet. And with the recoil, that scope is going to give you one hell of a dose of scope-eye.
You've never actually shot a revolver have you.
Thought not.
With a 6-8 inch barrel, 100 yards isn't out of the question.

Gunblades
Like, what is the gun for?
According to the gameplay, crit on demand, he was the only character that you could just push a button and get such an effect on every single attack.

The portal gun? can really attack something with portals no matter how hard you think.
Depends on whether there's anything harmful in the environment or damage from falls. It can also eliminate cover, making other weapons more useful, at least when cover functions logically.

Hehehe, like the giant teddy bear. :p
Hey, the bear gets a free ride for being part of one of the most awesome combo items: The Freedom Bear. Plus, who doesn't like hitting zombies with a giant talking stuffed bear? It's fun for the whole family!

Just think about which button is being pressed to do it, trigger button.
