Halo 1's pistol putes the sniper to shame
Bingo. Semi-automatic, very accurate, reasonable zoom, and twelve rounds to the magazine? Painful. Especially as it only took three to put someone out of commission, and you could carry 132 rounds.

Yeah, it was moderately nuts.

the unreal tournament redeemer. why? you launch an actual nuke into an often tiny level. just about gurantees you will kill every enemy. not to mention a fly-by-wire mode so you can guide it right into them, but there however is a drawback as more often then not you will kill yourself along with everyone else, but often worth it.
max rank Ball Lightning from Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance one. a few castings of this kills everything, even in extreme, short of the final boss, only because she is immune. In fact this spell is largely how I got through extreme.
Max rank empower + max rank enveration in Dark Alliance 2. I clear rooms so fast with that spell, especially if I toss in a max rank Claws of Darkness.
the spells Slow Time and Physical Shield in Fable. They just break the game, especially if you max both and have plenty of mana and mana potions. Enflame was one you could just rapid fire abuse. the 2 one one evil one good circle of annihilation spells from lost chapters.
Beserk + multistrike was another disgusting spell combo.
I also say force storm in KOTOR 2, and while less damagine, force wave as well. I mean still high damage and they are rendered helpless against your awesome onslaught.
Thor's North winds and rage in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance giant tornado sucks up enemies, damages them constantly, and they can't fight back, while also leaving them ripe to be slaughtered with Thor's lightning, and Thor's lightning just peels bosses apart.

The Zodiac in Ratchet and Clank 2. The screen flashes white, then DEAD SILENCE.

The AWP in CS, luckily it's a sniper gun that actually requires skill to be effective.

The device that lets you call in a russian mortar strike in BF: Bad Company. I forget what it's called but point, shoot and everything and everyone that dared to exist there will be no more. It's great fun but a bit overpowered at times.

Just to break people's brains, I'm gonna say the pistol from Halo 2.

To be serious, though, I have to say that Mewtwo, and that new god-pokemon-thing are way too overpowered. (Well, the way a trainer uses 'em, they might as well be weapons.) Over the years, pokemon keep getting more and more powerful, but Mewtwo is still considered an "uber" character. Considering that nearly all of the pokemon from the good 'ol Red and Blue have been left in the dust, save a few who can take advantage of loopholes, there was definitely something wrong with it when it was first made.

And I just have to say it straight. Making a character with the highest all-around stats, able to learn painfully powerful moves, and making it able to be any element is when you know character design has gone to seed.
First off, your thinking of the pistol from Halo 1, the M6D not the M6C. Secondly, all tournaments suck.

120 rounds. in Halo, the bare minimum for reloads was 10. The only exceptions are the Sniper, which you can only carry 6 reloads, the Shotgun which was 5, and the Needler which was 4.

The Final Smashes in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
If you know how to use them all correctly.
Except Peach who, like in all games that use her, is bloody useless.
Peach is upper tier in Melee, because she's almost impossible to knock out of the arena thanks to her umbrella and infinite air dodges. Because of those, she is quite potent in Brawl too. Just not as powerful as she is in Melee.

She's more useful than Zelda, for instance, whose only decent feature is that she can turn into Sheik.
Without a decent damage potential and an exceedingly lightweight frame, in both games she is exceedingly vulnerable to an aerial knockout. And, like I said, Damage potential makes up for lower maneuverability. Shes more a persistent annoyance than a threat.
She's enough of a threat to be in the top 5 in Melee...and she beats characters like Link in both games. Her down smash is pretty deadly (less so in Brawl, but it still works), well-aimed turnips knock people out of the air quite nicely, her throws are pretty powerful and she has a nice dash attack. Perfect for hit-and-run play, I'd say.

She's no Falco or Marth, but in good hands she's plenty of a threat.

The farsight from the original Perfect Dark

The farsight because it could look through walls, shoot through walls, had a 1 hit kill (2 with a shield) AND had a target follower mode where it activly tried to track its targets for you.....

Most awesome sniper. EVER.

Neverwinter Nights: Timestop
Does exactly what you think it does, stops time for a little while allowing you to cast a number of other spells and have them essentially fire all at once, once the time stop wears off. End result, you'll clear entire rooms in half a second, rip most of the HP off any boss in moments and then you can do it again, since you do have a couple of these memorised.

Neverwinter Nights: Weapon Master (prestige class)
A clever combination of feats and innate abilities allow this class to instant kill anything it can critically hit with its chosen weapon (it's effectively impossible to make the saving throw). That includes things like adult dragons, although you do need a very high character level to pull this off.
Undead being immune to critical hits pose a bit of a problem since you spent most if not all your feats to get that ability.

Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2: Isaac's Greater Missile Storm
Fires 1 missile per character level at a random target within range, dealing 2d6 damage each. This doesn't sound to bad, until you consider that there's no cap to the number of missiles. Above level 20 this spell makes anything easy (level cap is 30 in NWN2 or 40 in NWN). Usually you won't encounter enemies in groups of more than 4 or 5 and you can have quite a few of these memorised.

Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2: Fireball (and elemental variants, Ice Storm, Scintilating Sphere and Horrid Wilting)
deals 1d6 damage per caster level to anything in range. (again, not capped.) try 20d6+ damage to anything in range of the blast and watch it all melt.

Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2: Weird and Wail of the Banshee
simply put, all enemies in range die unless they make the saving throw. You can get a really high Difficulty Class to these spells with the right combination of level and feats. End result, unless it's immune to death magic it's dead.

Knock someone off the edge, use it, guaranteed point.
It only puts them to sleep if they're on the ground. They won't fall to their deaths snoozing, but they may find it tricky to get back with the camera zoomed on you. Incidentally though, unless they can stay in the air for the duration of the entire smash (doable with some, but not all characters), they'll be asleep even longer since they'll fall asleep near the end and Peach won't be wasting time dancing while they're sleeping.

The Lion heart limit break in FF8. Usually appeared against something of little consequence. How he decided that a cactuar needed to take 190,000 points of damage is beyond me.

Armageddon in Persona 3. It deals the highest amount of damage (9999) killing every enemy instantly (there is one exception).

This 2 handed double sword in Phantasy Star Universe. With this weapon it took me 15 seconds to kill the final boss.

In FF X-2 you can get an item (I don't know how it's called in english) which allows you to deal 9999 damage with every hit if your HP's are yellow. If you use your guns you can deal 9999 damage thirteen times.

In Digital Devil Saga every fighter can be overpowered if you want.

LULZ. I forgot about the chicago typewriter, if you ask me though, it was so powerful it got to the point that it made the game less fun.

I would have to say EVE Online's Titan Doomsday weapons.
Definitely agree with this. A player weapon that can wipe out entire 200+ battleship fleets in one strike? Madness!!

I still remember the first time I got killed by one on the test server when they were released.

I don't know if an I-Win button of that magnitude exists in any other game.

Who, of course, is a hidden boss character and the player has no way of knowing he's even in the game until they've met certain conditions in the arcade mode. And there's no way a player can pick him by accident.
