Dogs are awesome but I find cats are extremely over-rated and the only redeeming quality they have (being cute) isn't very common, as most of them are actually ugly and/or evil looking.

There's a whole list of stuff I find horribly over-rated.

Anime. (Apart from the film Akira and the series Fist of the North Star.)
JRPGs. (They don't do anything for me, all style with no substance and TURN BASED combat?!)

Haven't read all responses, so I might have been ninja'd, but FIGHT CLUB. It was cool to reel off nihilistic Brad Pitt quotes when you were thirteen, but now it's just completely lame. The entire fan base is upper middle class white suburban teenagers who misunderstand the whole (underdeveloped and cliched) point of the entire movie.

Overrated things, hmm. I can't in good conscience jump on the iPad bandwagon because I only know 1 person who has one, and no one else seems bothered about it. I'll go with The Beatles. I'm not really a fan. Some of their stuff is alright but they are not near Godlike as some people I've met believe.
