Yeah I thinked of games like that and it sounds great but I would probably spend 13324545321245343 crowns per month on new controllers than I would play multiplayer
Oh you must be talking about ArmA 2.cutecuddely said:How would you feel about a game that was in credibly realistic. A game where if you got shot i a certain part of your body. BAM. youre dead. if you get shot in the foot and you leave a trail of blood for the bad guys to find and hunt you down and kill you. where when you take cover you cant see what is round the corner due tothe camer but can only see infront of you. where if you come under heavy fire you start shaking and when youre firing you cant aim as weel. a game where you cant throw down a health pack and youre fixed. SOunds good or something that will annoy you.
I agree realism and games should never be in the same roomOnyx Oblivion said:Now THAT would annoy me. Honestly, I find the degree of "realism" in shooters these days annoying.
I miss the days of emptying entire clips into opponents, and they were still only half dead...
Lol, like when I bust out the Barret (FMJ & Stopping Pwoer) in Modern Warfare 2 and hit a guy center mass.ShadowKatt said:Really? I hate games like that. It annoys me to no end and annoys the people I play with to no end when I empty a whole magazine into their chest and they kill me and I scream "FUCKER! DIE WHEN I KILL YOU!"Onyx Oblivion said:Now THAT would annoy me. Honestly, I find the degree of "realism" in shooters these days annoying.

He lives and runs off somewhere. Regens health. Then I die via one shot from a SMG or some other weapon.
Shooters need to get away from health regen at least. I would like to see a game where you could "wound" someone (ie. a shot to the leg would make them limp or crawl) with an eventual bleed out.
99% boredom, 1% unmitigated terror ... and no respawns ... and random drug testing ... and some really antisocial hours ... and two-hour shifts on the back gate in the p****ng rain at Christmas ... and having to keep your hair short or bunned up ... and having to look after your uniform ... and your kit ... using gun oil, which plays havoc with your skin if you nick yourself while cleaning your rifle ... and a clueless, middle-aged supervisor who promotes the incompetent one because she flutters her eyelashes at him. How he didn't realise she didn't like men I don't ... oh, wait. Middle-aged. Fluttery eyelashes. He realised nothing.Dfskelleton said:I wouldn't buy it. I'd much rather join the Military for realistic action.
Arcade shooters are insanely chaotic and you end up getting verbally - and game-wise - abused by hyperactive bunny-hopping teens just because you don't have a computer that can do 120 FPS.Get_A_Grip_ said:A realistic shooter sounds like hell to me.
Arcade shooters are fast paced and fun.
I don't know what to tell 'ya. I turned mine all the way down, and I didn't experience any drift. Try patching maybe?Lawyer105 said:I know, but even when I had it right down, I was still experiencing drift.tsb247 said:That feature can be turned down or off in the options menu. It's called, "Aiming Deadzone," and it is meant to simulate weapon weight. The idea is that the weapon has weight to it and the inertia can be felt when swinging the weapon from one side to another; just like in real life.Lawyer105 said:Avoid ArmA II. Played it for a while, but the aiming is mushy. You move your mouse to the target, then it just drifts a bit further. So you have to aim short, and wait for it to drift onto the target. No good for an FPS. I'd blame consoles... but I doubt it's their fault in this case. Just seems like poor development.
The control slider for that is located in:
Options --> Game options --> Aiming Deadzone
Well, buddy, Halo still does that. It's not necessarily a good thing since it's frustrating, but hey, whatever floats your boat.Onyx Oblivion said:Now THAT would annoy me. Honestly, I find the degree of "realism" in shooters these days annoying.
