I've never been truly traumatized by anything. This isn't to say that I've never had life-changing events happen, just nothing truly traumatic.

I don't get why it's so traumatic if people see their parents or something having sex... sure it's gross, but traumatic?

I heard people applaud Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. And these were adult people. This has traumatised me enough to hate everyone.

Though seriously, the only one I can mention is probably Lt. Col. Henry Blake's death in M*A*S*H. Left me a bitter and disbelieving person who never really got over the fact that such nice people die.

My father shot me 7 times and threw me off a small bridge. I barely made it. I'm not kidding. Not surprising, he's on the run. I am now clinically depressed and on medication.
Holy shit...

That's...that's pretty damn bad. I did have a story but it pales in comparison to this...

I hope things start to look up for you and you get out of your depression.

Mine wasn't real serious but I think it's part of whats led to my low confidence.

My second grade year probably the worst school year of my life. I didn't really have any 'friends' per se. My teacher beat me with a textbook. At halloween I had kids terrorizing me with their costumes(I'm bad about horror and stuff now but I was much worse when I was younger) and me being the one getting in trouble for it. The teacher sticking me in the kindergarden classroom as punishment and having my whole class laugh and point at me. Having the teacher believing I wrongfuly graded another students paper(when he really just changed the answers) and taking off of my paper.

... oy I'm depressed now.

Thanks. It's been tough, I think I'm just gonna sign up for the army. Pretty much the only thing I'm useful for. I thank you for the sympathy however.

Hearing a women being raped.......

seeing a kid getting beaten with machetee's (africa)

watching child being pulled away from her mother

seeing a baby crying over it's dead mother (that huanted me for a long time)

and a bunch of others all these terrible experiance's have made me into a absolute good person in a way.

EDIT: I think this can all count as Truamatizing because they were some serious MindF%ck ....... i feel bad for every person on that list, mainly the baby.....(goes to find something to stop self from remembering)

I'm sure there's something you can do other then fight, n after such an event, surely going into the Army isn't the best thing...

Well, I'll check out my options, but right now that seems to be the only one.

Not exactly traumatising this, but slightly creepy, and that is the fact that one of my friends now has a scar in his arm in the shape of a crucifix, carved by himself. This was back when he was going through a terrible phase of depression, and I'm glad to say that nowadays he's never been happier.

A traumatising thing that did happen to me was that I had gone down to my local subway, had bought two sub-sandwiches for my brother and me, and two drinks, and was heading back to my house, being only a few streets away from it, when I saw two rather disrespectable tall, late teenaged boys, one putting a bandanna over his mouth. A warning light flashed in my head, but my hands were full and I was hoping they'd walk past like everyone else does. Of course, once near, they flung me to the ground, spilling the remaining drink (I'd had the first one earlier) all over. They let me get up, then searched my pockets, all the while babbling about me doing something to their "cousin" (a load of bollocks of course as I was far too weedy to attempt to bother anyone, as proven) getting some shitty change for their efforts, and no phone (I'd luckily decided not to bring it). As a final parting grace, the bandanna-clad one snatched one of the subway sandwiches (which turned out to be mine as well).

Since then my distrust for humanity has become so bad (and believe me, it wasn't good to begin with) that whenever I walk past someone in the street I imagine how likely they are to attack (based on gender, weight, hands-full, being a couple), run a scenario through my head of how they might attack, and brace for impact as they walk past. I always feel a slight jolt run through me if I walk past someone who looked particularly likely and able to strike.

Oh well. I can only hope that guy didn't like pepperoni.

Not that traumatizing but very embarassing atleast.

No you know whats worse.

I was out with a girl having a good time and we went back to her place...
things got a bit hot and heavy.
so you know...we ugh....We had very loud and awesome sex.
well anyways WE THOUGHT there was no one home...boy was i wrong...
first thing. Bam her grandma walks in SCREAMS
then her grandpa followed by her mom her dad (whos a phyco) and then her sister busts out of her room naked........and my bestfriends standing there. naked.
all of a suddem me and my friend are runningas fast as we can with a guy in a ford F-150 and a shotgun. the fact i didnt know my friend was there and the girls entire family walked in on me and this girl. then my friend walked out naked with her sister.

I always love your threads, Suiseiseki. Good food for thought and/or stuff to read.

As for traumatic experiences, here's mine. Years ago, when I was about 10, I was playing Four Swords Adventures on the Gamecube. I beat a level and was super excited to go to the Ice World. I skipped around a little bit, started going down the stairs, tripped, fell all the way down, and paralyzed myself for about 15 seconds. I couldn't even talk, just a strangled "Ggggeeehhhh" noise. Couldn't move anything. Luckily it wore off pretty fast; started crying and went to look for my mom who was in the garage. Totally freaked me out. I'm very wary about stairs nowadays. I try not to wear socks in the house either. I always use banisters on stairs and escalators too.
Dude thats natural ,it's most common when someone suddenly without their brain knowing falls hard on their back causing some sort of reaction i'm not the expert but i've experainced it many times because of how clumsy i was , the first time made me think "Oh my god my life is screwed !" but after the third time i just liked whenever i was paralzyed for a few seconds because it's just so bizarre. so sorry to sound offensive but i'm pretty damn well sure about 91% of the population has experianced that.

How come in the other thread you said it was 1/8" plywood?
I was exagerating the thinness in the other thread. It was just how well we could hear the couple. Either they were using megaphones or the walls were thin enough to punch through.

I have no way of knowing just how thin the wall was, but if I had to guess it was probably a quarter to a half inch.
Oh I see, but that's nothing. I walked in on my parents going at it. Beat that!
I'll try. My parents don't acknowledge my existence because my red eyes got them banned from their church. I'm their f**king daughter for crist's sake.
You have Red eyes ?

Wait wait let me guess ! the main thing that was going through your head wasn't the whats gonna happen if you end up in jail but what your parents gonna think and do
(e.g. your dad gonna beat the shit out of you ) ? and if it's gonna effect you later in life ? right cause thats what pretty much happend to me.

i saw the video.... girls 1cup STAY AWAY!!!
I've been lucky to have avoided that. I find it funny that I can walk into a room and make people gag by yelling out "2 girls 1 cup!". It's also a good way of knowing who's seen it.

Not that traumatizing but very embarrassing at least.
Hehehe dude, you should try to have sex somewhere else, your house doesn't seem like the best idea. You really should talk to your mother. Unless you ever walked in on her having sex...

Anyways, my life is a fucking cavalcade of happiness. Although I am pretty miserable lately (no girlfriend, just quit smoking, long time no drink, no money etc). Well, a bad moment I can recall is probably when I was about to get squashed by a bus I did not see coming. The bus turned the last moment, stopped, the driver got out and instead of shouting at me or punching me, he told me to go to the church and light a candle. I was going to get something to eat, but my appetite immediately disappeared :S
