dismissed them as cash-ins

Once again, another snip. I apologise, but if we kept your comments in we'd make this page substantially longer.

I'm not sure if it's the fact we're communicating purely by text, but you're coming across as quite agressive.
I myself see that I may be coming across as very sarcastic but I don't mean to.

I appear to have taken my misconception too far, and I apologise humbly and fully.
I'll try to change how I view the years, starting next decade. 2020 2021. :D

Didn't this whole exchange begin with you typing all caps in giant red text?

2001 would be the first year in the twenty-first century
:S.

It is.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21st_century

"The 21st century is the current century of the Anno Domini designation or the Common Era in accordance with the Gregorian calendar. It began on January 1, 2001 and will end on December 31, 2100."

Anyways, on topic, I thought Singularity was grossly underrated. As was the STALKER series.

I just posted on a "name the most overrated game of the decade" thread and I figured I'd create its counterpart.

I'll start by nominating Age of Mythology, completely overlooked in favor of the Age of Empires and Starcraft franchises, even though it was gorgeous, had a wonderfully-designed campaign, had four unique, customizable races, and let you use divine wrath against your enemies.
Totally agree. The campaign is one of the best I've played in an RTS, totally fun with a great villain. I liked Age of Empires and the Blizzard RTS's, but I've put the most hours into Age of Mythology.

For me, Brutal Legend is the game that seemed to have the biggest disparity between how much I loved it and its overall reception. I played that game nonstop after I got it and did as much exploration as possible. In terms of sheer fun, it's one of the best games I've played. Just roaring around the landscape blasting metal was great. I loved the stage battles because of how I could just set the rally flag to myself and run around kicking ass and playing solos. It seems like the game got hurt by the marketing not showing the stage battles at all and giving people the impression it was only driving and brawling.

While it's not the MOST underrated, Tales of the Abyss is a favorite RPG of mine that hasn't gotten much love. The entire Fire Emblem series also deserves mention.

I don't really count Okami since it seems to be very highly regarded and just didn't sell that well.

God that game needs a remake. The original was excellent but with online multiplayer, bigger maps and more monsters it could be truely fantastic.

Plus, if they could do a slightly better singleplayer campaign that'd be awesome too.
Yeah, that'd be brilliant.
What monsters would you want in it tho, assuming all the Originals are also there, what would you add to the roster?
I'd definitely go for a giant mutant Canary, a BEar-like monster would be kinda cool (they could probably find a way to make it unique) and my personal favorite, a crocodile. something that's on all fours with no actual arms would be really interesting.

Def Jam: Fight for NY ! THE BEST fighting game of the decade. It took everything that was good about Def Jam: Vandetta and made it a HUNDRED times better (it had 60 characters and the story mode was really cool). This serie had A LOT of potential before Def Jam: Icon took a dump all over it !

Yeah... I admit that was a bit extreme.
NP. Sorry if I seem aggressive, but my profession values brief sentences that convey as much information as possible. As a result, I may come across as aggressive due to my terse accustomed writing style. I apologize.

It's all cool. What's your profession, out of curiosity?
