"Forgive & Forget."

No, I remember every little bad thing that someones done to me and unleash it at once.

"Forget about it."

A "friend" said that because a relative died. Boy did he his balls kicked.
Once, one of my friends had just been to his grandmother's funeral, and one of my other friends asked him if she'd dropped some good loot...

road sign: rock fall ahead, what am i gonna do about it -_-
This. I always get really frustrated when I see that sign. It's just a kick to the balls.

"Just take up a sport, and start eating healthy, you will clense your body of toxins and immediatly feel better!"

My aunt, when she learned i was depressed.
that's actually a good advice, not because of the toxins but exercise boost your selfsteem and gives you other positive chemical reactions.
You have obviously never been depressed. It makes you not want to live, you cant possibly 'treat' that with sports. Ever.
Though i did eat healthy. :)

"Never confront a bully, always go to a teacher or an adult"

...That doesn't work. It just doesn't.

Yeah, got it... *edges towards*

I'd say something along the lines of "Try not to fall off, it'll hurt if you do" when I was learning to ride a bike.

"Don't set fire to the cat"
Actually that is really good advice. See Genghis Khan: Went into a town and demanded that they join his army. They declined, instead of just killing all of them Genghis asked only for their cats in return. He took his army a few miles out from the town, tied cotton balls to the cats tails and lit the balls on fire. The cats freaked and instinctively ran to their home, burning the town to the ground. Don't set fire to the cat because it will be the end of your house.

...pretty random advice though.

Thanks for telling me that, now I can spread that around.

"just be yourself"
by my psychiatrist after being "dumped" by the women I loved more than anything which sent me into a pretty nasty depression for about 2 years. Being myself (too quiet, shy, introvert) is what cost me that relationship, I think you see the problem.

"If someone picks on you, completely ignore them NO MATTER WHAT and they'll get bored."

I can tell you from extensive first-hand experience that it's NOT true. It's better if you break one of their limbs instead.

I agree with the "never confront a bully" bit though. Wait for them to come to you.

Then break one of their limbs.
