I don't see me using anything other then the Wii for motion controls, mainly because I don't want to spend money on Move or Kinect.
Sorry, the title reminded me of this so I just had too...

Out.

I just don't have space for all these newfangled whatchamacallits in the room which happens to have an Xbox in it.

For now, I'm most definitely out. When the prices drop and when the market picks up for competition, some good games should come out, and then I might think about it.

I'm out.

There would have to be considerable allure to make me want to get it. It's expensive, and there are no worthy titles.

You know, I have always been critical of this fad, but if some competent developers a year or two down the road decide to make something for Move/Kinect, I might consider it. It will need to be more than "selling a name" though. I would need convincing. Silent Hill (Wii), for instance, was a bit of a drag and not what I hoped it would be, though it was quite original and I applaud them for it, I gave them my money and have no problems with that. But if they just try to sell a franchise name to make money, I will pick up that scent and walk away.

I think it will be at least 1.5yrs before we see games of any value for Kinect/Move. If ever, frankly.

Also, space is a problem for me. Kinect wouldn't be feasible, Move would probably work as the Wii is manageable in my living room.

In. Experiences with the Wii have led to a much greater degree of immersion with the games than I ever had with a gamepad. I haven't tried Move or Kinect yet though they're a little out of my price bracket at the present time.

I'm out of the whole motion control shenanigans until some good, hardcore games get released for the Kinect.
For the record, I currently don't own a PS3, Wii, or Kinect.

I'm out.
Only experience I have with motion controls is the old Eye toy, or what it's called, to PS2. Tried some boxing game and busted my arm. Besides, I'd feel rediculous if I sat at home playing with motion controls.

I'm largely out at the moment, until games that use it do it well more often than not, instead of doing it poorly 95% of the time. There's occasionally stuff on the Wii that works well, but part of why I still haven't made it past the first area of MP3 is that I never found a comfortable way to use the stupid thing. With rare exceptions, usually the games I end up getting along with best are the ones that use the motion controls the least or as an option.

I suspect eventually developers will get the hang of it after screwing up enough times on every system (Wii, Kinect, Move, and whatever else comes along) that they eventually stumble across some sort of interface/control scheme for the games that actually works well with the hardware available, but in the meantime I'll keep enjoying playing non-motion-controlled things that don't make my wrists or shoulders sore from flailing around spastically.

I'm in
I'm a wii owner and don't have a ps3 or 360. (thus I don't have move or kinect)
I think motion controls are very good for games so long as they're done right. Redsteel 2, Silent Hill shattered memories, and wii sports (the plane game and the swordplay I mean) can back me up on that.

Definitely In.

When done correctly, motion controls greatly enhance gameplay. The problem is that so few games up till now that I've experienced to this right.

It is my hope that as time passes, they will nail the control for games that shine with them. Games like Wii Sports tennis, Tiger Woods with motion plus, and some FPS games really show what motion control can do to enhance a game over a typical controller.

I'm excited to see the potential Kinect will have on the future of gaming, despite not owning an xbox. That being said, there will always be room for classical gaming styles as motion controlling is only ideal for certain game concepts. I don't want motion to replace traditional gaming, simply enhance it when applicable.

Whats your opinion on motion controls?

They can be a great enhancement to gameplay, but to many devs use them as gimmicks.

Did you get any of the new ones? what are they like?

Nope

Whats your favorite one (wii included)

Wii by 27 and 1/2 country miles.

I'm mostly out: the Wii is all the 'motion' I need for games. The Playstation and 360 versions are trying to get into an established market with the same idea, but a lot more costly.

I'm no financial wizard, but from the general reaction of the gaming community I've not seen a single person say "I'm totally hyped for this!"
No you just have a large concentration of haters on this forum (what happened to this site, its gotten so hate filled past few months), people that are having fun with these systems are too busy to join in on these little bitchfests
