I often quote games and films under my breath, like the other day when I found myself on a particularly bathysphere-like ride in a Hong Kong theme park I started saying things like "I am Andrew Ryan let me ask you a question" with the full accent and everything.

Though I try to avoid doing things that are too nerdy so I probably won't fit in much on this thread. I use to play warhammer and WoW, I own shirts of things such as Flash Gordon, homestarrunner and mario. For ages I worked out a pen and paper zombie adventure game (Don't hav the resources to make anything of it though). I've often accidentally out-nerded people when they say they're a huge fan of something like...The David Tennant Doctor Who series or star wars.

Though actually there are very nerdy things I've considered doing before. Like buying D&D books from a retailer which sells them and getting started with it (Then I realized everything I'd need which I couldn't get anywhere in my vicinity, plus I'd have to get a few mates round to do it and they wouldn't be too keen) and cosplaying as a member of resistance for my favourite game half-life 2 for an upcoming convention called supernova. Then I realized I wouldn't be able to get a hold of all the materials required to not have it look like crap...though I still want to go.

I blew off my girlfriend to buy and play Spore for 3 days straight. Surprisingly that was the only time I ditched her for a game.

Wow, I've I don't feel so nerdy now, after reading some of these. My nerdiness is a large number of contributing factors. Like playing DnD, WoW, EQ, Shadowrun, Battletech, and my love of fantasy and Warhammer Novels. I also won a Game of Trivial Pursuit of Lord of the Rings against 2 guys who look like hobbits right down to their harry feet, also they were in to lord of the rings enough to buy trivial pursuit Lotr edition and Risk lotr edition.

I was supposed to write journal entries for an english, but in that time me and my friend wrote a RP. When we realized that the journals were for a grade, we both turned it in and she gave us more points in extra credit the the journals together, because she liked the story. she then commended us in front of the class. or in 6th grade me and my friends decided we would make a video game, (I know, I'm sure it was a masterpiece.) and we told everyone about how it was going when they were making fun of us, even though we knew they were making fun of us. I still know people who call me Dan-Station from that incident.

I've played almost every semi-popular MMORPG out there. WoW (100+ hours), Warhammer Online (60+ Hours), Champions Online (40+ Hours), Maplestory + Runescape (I am ashamed...), DDO (30+ Hours), EverQuest (40+ Hours), Guild Wars (40+ Hours), Age Of Conan (20+ Hours) and many more, as well as less popular ftp ones such as Atlantica, Floresia, 9Dragons, Perfect World, Luna Online, DoMo, Dungeon Runners... The list goes on and on (I have no life :D)

I've also had D&D sessions twice a week for the past 3 years and have gone to several role-playing conventions (including LARPing).

I'm also a girl... I think that makes it worse...

Well, the most recent one that I can remember (not necessarily the nerdiest thing I've done) occured thusly:

One of my coworkers was ringing out someone that was buying some Guitar Hero-related thing. The customer, seeing Judy Nails on the box, asked if it was supposed to be the singer Pink. My coworker didn't know either, so they asked me. I said "Oh no, that's Judy Nails, a character made up for the game. She represents the Alternative Rock genre." And I went on to explain that no, that's not a guy from KISS, it's Lars Umlaut, representing the Death/Black Metal genre. I think I kind of freaked my coworker out (he's kind of a hardcore religious-type of guy). He kind of just stared at me for a couple seconds and then said "Oh...Ok. I, uh... don't listen to that type of music."

It's mostly Zelda's fault. For example, I had to do a music history project, one of the instuments was an Ocarina, so I put a picture of the Ocarina of Time.
I can also read the Hylian in Twilight Princess.

That's... Pretty much it. I have posters of a whole shitload of games up in my room, if that counts.

After having sex with my girlfriend I lay back and said "mana break", I once had an in-dept discussion with my Maths teacher about a zombie apocalypse.

My favourite: When I was drunk I recited Kains "Coin Theory" on Time (From Soul Reaver 2) until they got sick of it.

Hm, I gotta think of more... I had a massive drunken conversation about 4chan at a party.

In D&D I created a Monk called Buyakuya Kuchiki.
In D&D I also created an epic monk called Apachai.

My friend was annoying me once so I told him "David commands you, Shut up" whilst moving my hand across my eyes.

Doing a Resident Evil speedrun is my party trick.

I talked about Dragon Age to my non gamer friends. I also mentioned my character, a rogue female city elf.

Laughing ensued.

My partner and I proved Bruce Wayne was Batman using vector calculus back in high school AND turned it in to our teacher
*got 5pts extra credit.

that and some of my coworkers hung a giant poster of The Flash over the loading dock of "Hall E West" at the convention center where we work. Though I guess only funny if you get it... and if/when you do... you'll realize how nerdy and pointless that was

I'll skip the details, but I wrote a five-page essay revolving around Jack Thompson. I had to include a paragraph about Hot Coffee to provide relevant background knowledge for the examiner.
My subject tutor said it "beats talking about Britney Spears."

probably completing Assassin's Creed II. By that I mean, 100%, collecting all the feathers, getting all the trophy's, etc etc type of complete.
Stop reminding me that An Old Friend Returns never unlocked on mine, forever holding the lustrous Platinum from my grubby hands.
Also that it doesn't reward you for viewpoints. Curse you, Ubisoft!

I spent nearly a whole day playing the World of Warcraft demo. Once I realized what I had done I immediately erased it from my computer and took a shower to wash the nerd off of me.

Also, one time in Government class, the teacher mentioned nuclear fallout and without thinking I said, "Tunnel Snakes rule." Half the class looked at me with confused looks, the other half were chuckling, one kid even said, "I'll show you a real tunnel snake."

Maybe the biggest one though was a few months ago. I went on a first a date with this girl at a close by festival and on our way back she wanted to check out a garage sale. It was there where destiny took over because at that garage sale they had a SNES with 2 controllers and 24 games for $30. Needless to say I shat bricks and got all giddy and bought it, later on it was kinda embarassing. But it's cool, I found out how much she digs video games also and we're still together, yay.
Have you ever played an RPG?

If so you are a huge hypocrite. WoW is just like any other game, and also you are posting in a forum, you are a nerd face it.
I'm a nerd? Oh what will my parents think? \sarcasm

I was being sarcastic about the WoW thing. I don't think it less than other games, hell, I LOVE RPGs , more than any other genre. I just found WoW to be way too much of a grind-fest for my tastes. It felt almost like I may as well just work and at least gain something productive because it sure as hell didn't give me fun after the first hour.

I got into it the other day with a buddy of mine over Star Trek. He said that the Klingons were still the bud guy in the Next Generation and I argued the point of how they weren't.

or

When I contemplate whether I should go out with my drinking buddies and hit on girls or stay home and play vids.
