Overpriced garbage. "Oooo I can spend $5 for a set of COG armor and be unique - just like everyone else!" But really, what else is new?

That said, I would very much enjoy unlockable outfits/props for getting certain achievements in the actual games. Like, if you beat Mile High Club on Vet you should get Capt. Price's mustache.
That's what the awards are for, but lazy MS refuses to make a list of games that will support awards...

I think they should have let u spend your achievement points on them. That way they actually do something.
Nah, I'm thinking something more along the lines that if you earn certain achievements you earn clothing, it would work but it won't happen for a while sadly.
I was saying this to my friend earlier. For instance, that nifty RC Warthog should be unlocked for finishing ODST on legendary.

Waiting for more stuff but i'm not against the idea. Its an interesting way to customize your little... well you. If they release something interesting in the future i'll be sure to pick it up but i'm not really looking to buy a clone trooper outfit.

Well, now I'm tempted to either get the Big Daddy Doll for my Avatar or the Spell Tomes add on to Oblivion (which I recently got back to replaying) because I have 90 points that'll collect dust. I think its an okay idea, I like it better than the whole games on demand thing, but we aren't discusssing that. Plus my cowboy seems a little bland right now, I could use some sprucing up.

EDIT: Woops, as it turns out my memory isn't as good as I like to think it is. The Big Daddy Doll is over the amount I thought it was. Oh well, I'll just try and find a way to spend it anyway.

But the whole point of gamerscore is to show who's the achievement whoreist of the achievement whores. Maybe you unlock them when you get enough (which is what the awards are goign to be so there's not point.)

In my opinion it's all junk and a waste of money. Though I didn't almost buy that lightsaber...

Surprisingly, I actually liked most of the stuff in the avatar marketplace. Now if only they were free....

Spell tomes was a piece of shit rip off waste of money.

I played for 90 hours with a new character and only found 5 or 6, all of which were spells I could have made at a spellmaking altar.

People complain about horse armour but this was even worse.

Did I miss the giant pisstake when Home came out for the PS3? 'cos it's exactly the same thing.

A anthropomorphised Microsoft isn't holding a gun to your head, forcing you to buy this stuff. It's there for if you really, really have to get your dude a set of COG armour or whatever. I'm not going to buy any of it ('cos I managed to find a nice pair of jeans and a hoodie in the free stuff! Go me!), but if people want to, why stand in their way?
Where in the post did you hear me say to stop it? I'm just giving my 2 cents about the update and asking for others. If people are dumb enough to spend money on virtual clothes and Microsoft is smart enough to make money off of it then more power to them.
