As I'm sure many of you know, the new season of Futurama recently premiered. For those that have seen the new episodes, what are your thoughts on them? Do you think that the new seasons will be just as good as the old ones?

It seems to be much the same format. I've seen the first two episodes of the 6th season, and they've both been quite pleasing.

I hope it'll be good :D Futurama pretty much >>>>> every other 'grown up' cartoon.

I think its going to be as good if not better. They're deffinitely off to a good start.

I preferred the first to the second but they both rocked. I loved the joke about magnification and resolution so much I had to wax my rocket.

I watched the 2 new episodes last night. It was actually better than what I expected. I was kinda let down by the 3rd and 4th movies, but I hope the rest of this season stays on the right track like this. I'm trying to stay cautiously optimistic though, because you never know what's gonna happen with this kinda thing.

I was really psyched for it, but coming back from watching it, I wish they had ended it with the movie.

I mean really, it was cool to see my favorite show on air again, but it was too... forced. I hated how they kept revolving around the central story from the movie... END THE DAMN FRY AND LEELA LOVE RELATIONSHIP. I mean, I REALLY wish they had waited for Fry to get with Leela until the VERY END. Which I thought the movie was. GUess not. Oh, and all the sexual jokes that they just threw in were cringe worthy. Funny, but so out of character for the show.

Not to say it was half assed or anything, but I really think that my favorite TV show of all time is going to turn into another bad case of the "Simpsons" if they keep this up.

I am enjoying it. Thankfully is has the same humor as the old episodes. I'm glad it hasn't changed too much.

Hi all. Long time Lurker first time poster.

I thought the two episodes were very good. Some crackin lines in there. "You're a robut! That explains this growth on your driveshaft." Not as funny as some classic episodes like 'Mars University' or 'A Head in the Polls', but a great start to the season, Hope it continues

I think that was the plan, but as with anything successful, they wanted to squeeze as much cash out as they can.

My thoughts, thank you.
I loved the two new episodes, I think they can live up to the original. Of course, the Fry-Leela thing is annoying and I fail to see how ending the second episode with Zap and Leela having sex is funny but well, I expect to stay entertained by the series anyway.

Oh, and the new chamber of understanding is even more awesome than the anger dome... it has an included disco ball!

I was quite surprised at how much I was laughing during the episodes, especially the second one. The first two new episodes were quite good. Can't wait for more to come out. I'm just glad that Futurama is back and I am hoping that it does not make the same mistakes as Family Guy did when it came back.

Just like staying at uncle Fritzl's house!

Not too sure when its out here (Assuming you mean UK) but I quite frankly couldn't wait for the Region 2 DVDs (I don't have sky at the minute) so I downloaded the episodes. Definitely would recommend it if you're impatient like me.

Bender is a jack-ass, Zapp is an idiot, and the professor said something that ended in "... news, everyone!"

Yup, I'm cool with that.

They were good. I enjoyed them.

Not much has changed and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It felt familiar, which is what I wanted.

Also loved the first few seconds with Hypnotoad, which seemed unnecessary seeing as Futurama never left.

All Glory!

Hypnotoad is overr-
All glory to the hypnotoad.

OT: I loved it. It was more of what made the series great, which is what I wanted in the long run.
