I like fast travel in Fallout where you have to discover the place first, but that doesn't make much sense with Elder Scrolls where methods of travelling apart from walking are readily available. Morrowind was cool where fast travel was limited to boats/silt striders and there were a couple of teleport spells that were useful but not overpowered.

Everything that was in mrbtongue's video. I don't know dick about making a good video game but he sure does.

edit: since I know bethesda is reading this 3rd page post from a person with like 20 posts, I would also like to say adding co-op is a bad idea. TES is a solo experience. As Ma'iq says, other people just get in the way. Also, get rid of companions, the Dragonborn's story isn't about the Dragonborn and his mate, it's about the Dragonborn's personal accomplishments. If I wanted to have a party I'd play a Bioware game.

I think the most important thing they add is some greaves for the NPCs. The game was so easily exploitable and easy to win simply by using a bow and shooting people in the knees, it was a major tactic in the civil war too and you often heard officers shouting "Forget the uncovered head! AIM FOR THE KNEES!".

Alternatively I would love for them to expand on the marriage options, I liked the idea for it but it needs more effect. Other than that just the standard improvements people suggest I suppose.

It's probably going to be a long while until he see it though, I imagine they will release a new fallout first, we will at least be on the next console generation or near it.

I would really like Obsidian to take a crack at it like they did with fallout New Vegas... but with a good QA team. Really imagine all the complaints made about the factions and writing in Skyrim and then imagine what would have happened if Obsidian had written it instead.

Companions. Not animated sex dolls with 20 words of dialogue, actual companions with things to say and do.

Just bring character to your characters Bethesda. Take at least one thing from Obsidian.

Well first I'd like to say that I would NOT like to see multiplayer in an Elder Scrolls game, or at least make the focus still on single player. Games like Dead Island and Borderlands have convinced me that having a strong co-op comes at the expense of the single player mode.

I'd like better graphics, of course.

Make it more designed for PC than consoles, like previous Elder Scrolls games have been.

Of course keep the mod support since really, Skyrim got pretty fucking boring without any mods on.

For the love of god, find a way to make combat enjoyable. I focused in archery just because melee and magic were both so boring. Archery was really only better because it was so over powered when combined with stealth, that I could just one shot most enemies, so I didn't have to deal with the combat

Improve the loot you find from enemies and dungeons. I had very little reason to pick up weapons and armor, after the first 6 hours or so. 90% of the time, the items I had were much much better. This contributed to the game getting boring. Why am I going in to all these samey looking dungeons if I know that I probably will only find stuff that's as good or worse than what I already have.

Give shops more money. Thank god this was fixed with mods, but shop keepers don't have nearly enough money. I end up having to travel the world just to find a shopkeeper who can afford to buy this axe that I found. Either give shops more gold right off the bat, or have their gold increase as you level up or something. I quickly got to the point where even selling items I found was no longer an option, because no merchants could afford to buy anything.

I know story isn't the reason you play Elder Scrolls games but it would be nice to have a compelling main story for once. I'm traveling the land, there's epic music playing, I should feel like a badass hero...but I can't because I don't care about my quest at all.

Make the player feel like their actions matter. When I'm the arch mage I shouldn't have people coming up to me asking if I ever considered joining the mages guild. I save the world from a dragon apocalypse and still receive the same amount of recognition as when I first entered Whiterun

For starters, actual gear variety, now I'm not expecting Torchlight levels of variety, but at least make unique gear actually unique, it frustrated me to no end when I get a 'unique' sword and its basically a vanilla steel sword with an enchantment, hell 95% of the game's unique items was just vanilla steel\silver\whatever with enchantments.

I think everyone one can say about the combat has been already said, haha, but Bethesda seriously needs to redesign it, its one of the most boring I've ever experienced hands down in a game.

I wouldn´t mind it if they took some pages from some other RPGs and tried to make conversations something with a little more heart to them than "Hello dragonborn. Go here, do quest, get cash." Or making companions that actually has a personality of their own. Definitely not saying they should go all bioware but there is a middle ground between Bethesda´s glorified easy modes and Bioware´s wayward mental hospital.

Otherwise, more options as to how to approach a situation. TES games pretty much leaves it up to me to decide exactly what sort of character I want to play when it comes to things like skills but in the end the only real approach to a situation I am given is to kill everything. It would be nice if I am given more options along the lines of the standard fantasy archetypes. Like being able to actually use stealth to complete objectives, or magic for other things than murdering people.

Other than that just the standard, moar graphix, hip beats, more fluid fisticuffs, etc.
