I see nothing wrong with that scenario :D

I knew Chaos was coming, was obvious enough, but friend of mine was completely oblivious, he said he was surprised by that twist xD

Now what they should do is take one of the later founding chapters (or come up with one of their own) and follow their decent into the arms of Chaos. (i.e. the Soul Drinkers)
Soul Drinker was the first warhammer book I read, I love it :D

That would be awesome imo.

Id like to see more races, SpecificallyEldar, Dark eldar, and Tau added in and fight on multiple different planets. Also Like to see Armor (Land raiders, Predators, Rhinos) added in in some way. Terminator Armor and dreadnaughts would be cool. Whats QTE, BTW? Ohh and who would like to see an MMO/Horus Heresy Storyline?
so basically you want a third person shooter version of the RTS games?
You say that like it would be a bad thing. I for one would love to see an RTS scale battle enacted in a Third Person Shooter. Thousands of Orks clashing against a few hundred Space Marines in a battle of epic proportions.
Not at all. I dont think they do justice to the epic scale of conflicts that go on in our grim dark future where there is only war. Titans, Massive armor vehicle conflicts, hundreds of thousands of Imperial Guard regiments, even the fleet battles that go on in space. I think they should go all out and do a Black Crusade game.
HORUS HERESY FTW

I know they tried something similar in the Chaos expac to DoW2 but those choices were too obvious. Something more subtle would be nice. Cause thats ususally how its done. You start out with the best intentions but your choices start to move into the grey area between what is good and what is evil.

I think the Horus Heresy might be a little too big. If you think games like Crysis rapes your computer what do you think the Siege of Terra would do to your processor?

Ya, the choices in the DoW 2 chaos expansion were silly tbh. "Grab this bit of extra gear or save fellow space marines that are trapped? Hmm...tough one"

Well the gear thing was a good idea but badly done. Cause how do you know that awesome powersword you found or that relic boltgun isnt harboring some daemon inside it? Relic does good work but I dont think they really capture the nature of the various Chaos gods too well.

A story line that isn't a retread of previous Dawn of War titles. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the single player but orks attack, space marines show up and then someone fouls up and invites chaos to the party sounds awfully familiar Relic...
Isn't that the standard warhammer 40k plot though?

I mean you could ask Dan Abnett to write the script, but... well those poor sidekicks...

for the potential sequel... well no eldar as opponents... other than that? Less linearity maybe and a slightly deeper combo system with different mêlée attacks and a block system...
I just would have been nice to see something different for once or at least take the opportunity to introduce an unexpected twist.

I guess the Ultra-smurf haters are probably happy though, cause lord are they thick.

"We shouldn't trust the Inquisistion, but let's do what this guy says any ways."

I can't believe I am saying this, but in defence of the Ultramarines, Inquisitors tend to act pretty strange most of the time anyway.

The only way I see a Dreadnought being in the game is either in a new game mode (stop the Chaos Dreadnought!). I was also going to say probably as a perk that say if you die to many times then you get to play as a dreadnought for about a few minutes. Though with that, everyone will just die to get it so I don't think that will work.

For Terminator armor, I just say RELEASE A HORDE MODE ON A SPACE HULK!

(You mean were in a hulk..in SPACE?!?!? [cookie for reference] )

But for so far with relic done I like it. I mean this is their first steps into the console/TPS realm.
Actually, they did one before that no one remembers, The Outfit.

I agree with more weapons and all that stuff that any sequel should have. I'd also like to see being able to use a custom character in SP, though that might be hard to do since I don't think they usually just toss different chapters together and call them a squad, and I'm not sure what they'd do if you're from a chapter no one ever heard of, I.E. you made your own. A more robust multiplayer would be nice too that doesn't restrict all the perks and weapons worth using until later. Come on start me something, the bolter's useless.

I want to see walkers. I got the Meltagun and thought 'Oh boy I'm gonna fight Deffkanz or maybe there'll be a Deffdread for the level boss!'

yeah but think of it, Playing as Sanguinus and saving the emporer or as dorn, or Russ. Maybe even the emporer himself and faicing down horus. How cool would that be to play as a primarch?

playing as an island? you couldn't be more wrong. Certainly lag is an issue (and shouldn't be given that we must input a code to play online so there's no excuse not to have dedicated servers). But the bolter is beyond useless. You will not kill an enemy without having to reload. Grinding to unlock kraken bolts is a prime example of the online's problems. Relic simply don't understand online gaming in this genre. The game wasn't properly playtested beyond a few 40k fanboys and those fanboys are going to be the only people playing this before even the coop mode is released. There is no excuse why that mode wasn't included in the game or released in it's first week. To include no more than 2 modes and 5 maps, some of which are far too big, is just laziness. I stand by my assertion.
... Are you only hitting them in the knees?

I can kill anyone, pre-kraken bolts, by unloading an entire clip into them. I typically reload after each kill, so I don't run out before they're dead. >_>

Aside from the short campaign (and some plot elements that to me seemed clichéd for 40K) I enjoyed it. Whilst I'm not good at multiplayer, I really enjoy it. I just feel that more classes could have been added.
With the inquisitoral ending, I feel the next game could be about the Death Watch.
If it is, they have a brilliant opportunity to add more classes and have a better campaign.

Have several pre-set characters, and you choose which one you play as. So, you could play through as DW-captain Titus, formerly of the Ultramarines - or - you could play as DW-Techmarine Blantar, formerly of the Iron Hands. An apothecary, a librarian, a chaplain.

For multiplayer, you know have these classes - tactical, dev/havoc, assault/raptor - techmarine/warsmith, chaplain/dark apostle, librarian...and you get the idea.

Guys, I've got it. DEATH WATCH. The Elite Space Marines taken from every chapter to battle the strongest Xenos the Enemies of the Imperium can offer. They fight everyone, and they come from every space marine chapter, so no favoritism.
I actually made my main Multiplayer appearance a Death Watch Marine, with the shoulder pauldron of a Black Templar.

Well Sanguinius dies by Horus for one, Dorn arrived too late to help the Emperor and Russ actually wasnt there for the Siege of Terra. And yes, it would be fun to stride the battlefield as a living god of battle slaying Space Marines by the dozens.

The "gamebreaker" classes like Librarian or Terminatour could be awarded after reaching a certain score like in Battlefront. Same could go for Dreadnought mode. Player with the highest score gets to become the Dread upon the next respawn. It goes without saying that the higher tiered classes should also be allowed customization.

Obviously needs to include more of the races/factions.

Also, it'd be awesome if they ported Last Stand to Space Marine and allowed you to play as established canon heroes like Commissar Yarrick, or Chief Librarian Tigurius, or Captain Shrike and his awesome assault pack/lightning claws combo.

And the sequel should definitely expand to Battlefield proportions. Being able to play battles between Baneblades, Land Raiders, Avatars, Daemon Princes, Squiggoths, and other epic units would be...well epic. :)
