Sorry everyone, just got back from work!

"Ok, fellas, let's head back to base-...actually, I just thought of something." Melody regarded everyone with an evil grin. "Who wants to camp out here and wait for the rest of the gang to find their dead? We can follow them back to their base and voila, more supplies! If you have injuries, you can't volunteer; I'm driving you back to base and forcing bed rest until you recover."

Danny lay asleep...

He was in a car driving quickly. Over the radio he heard, "Requesting back up! *BANG* We are being shot at!" the voice was his brothers. Words came out of his mouth without attempting to talk, "I am coming bro. Don't worry! I am coming!" He looked around without wanting to. The colors were black and white. Suddenly a bullet ripped through his front tire. His car span out and flipped over. The blood rushed to his head. He saw his brother about 15 yards away. *BANG* a bullet hits him directly in the head. Danny yells out for his brother. The black and white colors all turned crimson.

He wakes up with a yell.

"Sounds good to me, should we go ahead and loot these guys?"

A bit shocked by Danny's sudden shout "you alright there Danny?"

"I'm okay." Danny said quietly. He was shaking and sweating. The second time viewing his brother die was almost as traumatic as the first. Danny folded his arms in an attempt to get them to stop shaking.

One hand on the wheel, Melody reaches into her secret stash and pulls out a few packets of cocoa powder. Tossing them to Robert, she tells him, "there should be a huge thermos of hot water under your seat...pour that in there and shake it until your arms fall off, then pour some for everyone once we're stopped. I hope everybody brought their cups."

She didn't know if it would help, but hot chocolate always made her feel just a bit more human whenever she's had a hard day.

"Ok lets do this! I can't wait for some good ol fashioned stake outs. I'm going to stab them in the backs so hard they won't know what hit them!" Logan drew out his knife and began sharpening it, when he got his hot chocolate he glanced guiltily around before pouring in some whisky from a flask in his pocket.

I'm gonna be out town for three days, so if I get on, it'll be rare. Just don't kill me and my character will kind of follow along for a bit.

I hope no one minds, but I advanced the story a little bit.

With the two children back at the military base, and their brother temporarily in the morgue, the Night Riders were back at the site of the murder, waiting for the vicious gang to collect their dead. The battle wagon was hidden in shadow, its lights off. Melody waited inside with the other Riders who no longer had transportation of their own. She had taken care of everyone's injuries, and those with a limb braced she asked to act as her security inside the battle wagon.

The night was hot and humid, and the stakeout stretched to several hours, so they fell back on an old favorite: strip poker over the radio. "Go Fish," Melody stated over the comm. At this point in the stakeout, the top of her coveralls were open and off her shoulders. She didn't normally play strip poker with the guys, but being alone in the driver's cabin of the battle wagon had its advantages. Without waiting for the usual "That's not even a poker move!" complaint, she slid her arms out of the coveralls and let the top pool around her waist. The cabin was hot, and she was sweaty; even with the windows down, she didn't care. The guys *should* be keeping a lookout for the gang anyway, so she was fairly sure no one was peeking. And it's not like they'd see much; she was still wearing a bra. "I fold."

"You know, playing this game over the radio entirely defeated the purpose." Fieldy said, sitting in his car, shirtless. Not from the game, from the heat. He was making an attempt save his battery, but was suffering dearly. He parked behind the bar, watching the road for headlights. He looked down the sights of a rusted Springfield he had robbed from the bar, anticipating. "We could be elsewhere right now. I can think of a lot of places. We could be drinking. We could be on patrol. We could be coming up with new strategies. We could be drinking. Or we could all be at home. Or maybe acting like normal humans on a saturday night, and be out DRINKING."

Danny sat in the base twidling his thumbs. He couldn't stand not being in the action. He picked up a beer and drank half of it in the first sip. I'm shure fieldy wants a few of these Danny thought to himself. Danny grabbed his radio and put in a disc. "Love is a burning thing," He sang along with the song. "And it makes a fiery Ring. Bound by wild desire. I fell into a ring of fire." Danny sang taking an other sip of beer...

The squeak of a wheelchair can be heard traveling closer to the lounge area where Danny was drinking. It was the little girl, pushed solemnly by her little brother. "He sings that song to us each night...our brother," she explained, staring at Danny. The little boy said nothing, merely pulling up a chair next to her and sitting down. They both listened to Danny sing, no longer interrupting.

Meanwhile, at the stakeout...

The sound of motorcycles alert the Night Riders to company. It's the gang they were waiting for, and their leader seems pissed. "I knew these bums would be here...prob'ly shot each other trying to kidnap them kids...where are those li'l critters, anyhow...?" A seedy and dangerous-looking man, the leader paced all over the crime scene, looking for identifiable bodies. "Sheeeee-it. Looks like we might have a rival gang on our hands, boys. We need to find those kids fast, or else the ol' Colonel won't give us the launch codes. E'rybody fan out. Give a holler if ya find 'em."

The gang starts spreading out to search for the two kids.

Danny looks at the kids curiously. They want me to sing? he thought. "I fell into a burning ring of fire. I went Down, down, down and the flames went higher." Danny sang as he put down his beer. "AND it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire, The ring of fire." the girl sat in a chair and leaned against to her brother. Danny finished the song and the girl fell asleep on her brother. The boy looked groggy. "It's been a long day," Danny said picking of the girl. His leg pained but he kept going. He put her in a bed upstairs. The boy had followed and climbed into the bed next to her. Danny walked out of the room and went back downstairs.

"I don't know how anyone could fall asleep to the thought of something like that" Robert thought to himself. Robert cracks open the back of the battle wagon to take a look outside then quickly shuts it "Danny!" Robert loudly whispers "Tell Melody to kill the engine, it looks like those gang members are here." Robert promptly gets up and tells Melody, through the metal wall, "kill the engine, Those gang members are here!"

I was a tad confused for a bit, but now I'm clear.
The gang didn't notice Fieldy's car behind the bar. He muttered into the radio "What's the plan? I say we get inside and spy on them, and find out what's up."

Danny sat in a chair. He played songs and became extremely bored. He played knife games but they did not help. He grabbed an other beer and drank it in a few sips. "Screw It" he said to himself. He got into the spare car and started driving to where the Rest of the Riders are.

Melody hears Robert's warning and promptly kills the engine...unfortunately, she also kills the power to her radio, cutting off Fieldy's question before she could hear it. "Shit." In a moment of panic, she turned the engine back on to get the radio back up and running, only to forget that starting up the engine to the battle wagon also turned on its headlights.

"What the f-...someone's spying on us, boys. Kill 'em." With the boss' order said, the gang wasted no time in heading for the battle wagon's location.

"Fuck!" Melody cursed, killing the engines and the headlights. Climbing out of the driver's cabin, she ran away from the battle wagon, hoping to draw attention away from her vehicle and the Night Riders inside it. She ran a hundred yards...

...then tripped, forgetting that her coveralls weren't completely covering her all. Her legs were tangled in the empty sleeves, and she hit the ground hard, allowing the gang to catch up and encircle her.

"Well, what have we here?" the boss drawled. "Looks like dinner! I know I'm hungry. Are you boys hungry?" Several of the gang laughed wickedly, while the rest just leered at her. "It's your lucky day, little girl! We ain't gonna kill ya...but you owe us something for spying on us, am I right, boys?"

Melody glared at him from the ground, covering up her chest with her arms, and spat at his face. "Fuck off."

The boss wiped the spittle from his eyes and grinned viciously at her. "Ye got spunk. Good. I'm gonna enjoy this..."

Danny drove at over 100 MPH. The NightRiders didn't exactly care about Speeding. Stopping the Rapes, Robberies and murders was more their idea of inforcing law. He saw gang members standing over melody. "Time for a little Action." he said. He ran over two of the gang members. He turned 90 degrees, picked up and fired his Sawed off. He completely missed. The gang member fired at the car. Ripping into the vehical, "I probably shouldn't have done this after drinking." he wispered to himself As he ducked down. He put his hand through the window along with the shotgun and fired. He grazed one of them.
