There are a ton of NES games that I have/play...well not a ton but, there are over a dozen. The last one I was able to play was Zelda 2: Adventure of Link which I was able to beat and, I even beat up on Shadow Link without exploiting the wall-glitch the entire time. I think my oldest SNES game is from 85 but I could be wrong. I plan on grabbing an Atari 7200 since...that one is backwards compatible with 2600 games, isn't it? Either way, an Atari is in my future for sure.

Well, since the Xbox Marketplace is a big bag of cats arseholes, I'm going to my parent's house tonight to pick up Tony Hawk's 2, at which point that will become the oldest game I still play.

I still finish Final Fantasy IX about once a year.
Sometimes I also pop in one of the three original Spyro The Dragon games.

Though the truly oldest game I still pop in on a relatively regular basis, would be Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES.

I just started playing that again for the first time in at least 7 years. God-damn, I forgot how great it was, possibly my favourite Final Fantasy.

Ultima IV might be the oldest game I play, but it's new to me. I installed it because it comes free with a GOG account and it's a good game! Obviously VERY dated now, reading the manual is an absolute MUST and even then it can be hard to get a grip on what you're doing. It's still a good game though.

The oldest game I still play that I had as a wee tot though would be Rocket Knight Adventures. One of the absolute best platformers from an era that may have had too many.

I've been playing that, lately, too! I'm a lot better at it than I was when it first came out :'] It's still incredibly fun to this day.

I'll occasionally play Golden Axe, Sonic 3, or Road Rash on my Mega Drive. Just yesterday, I played Pokémon Stadium 2 and Pokémon Crystal, both on my N64.

Mine's gotta be the Original x-com. It'll be 20 years old next year... man lol.
Wow, thats incredible. My game came out in the same year as X-com; Betrayal At Krondor (I tend to play this every year or so).
I loved betrayal at krondor. When I was a kid I would play it with my dad (because I was a bit too young for it's intricacies) all the time. Good memories!

For the PC?
Zeus Master of Olympus. I havent been able to find a city builder that held my attention like that since, even if the combat didnt exist/is rubbish. The fact that I'm a sucker for ancient Greece probably doesnt help me finding one to top it to be honest...

Recently started Pokemon Blue again using an emulator on my phonem gotta catch them all dont ya know!

I'll pick up older games every now and again, but the oldest one I'll pick up more often is Hitman; Blood Money.

Tons of replay value, and a very easy game to fuck around in.

I would be playing lots of great arcade classics on MAME if this destop PC wasn't such a mess. Same with other emulators.

These are my go-to retro games.

Warsong (MegaDrive) (aka Langrisser 1, the whole series is underappreciated in the west)

Streets of Rage 2 (MegaDrive)(Castle Crashers isnt half the game of this or Guardian Heroes XBLA)

The New Zealand Story (Arcade)(Damn fine arcade platformer from the ppl behind Bubble Bobble, don't let the easy first couple of levels fool you into thinking its easy or simple, its full of spike traps, secrets and complex non linear stages where if you aren't fast Death wll come out and chase you)

Dayatona USA XBLA (one of the best arcade racers of all time, with added analog controls)

Street Fighter 2 (the best fighter to play if you just want a simple fighter that everyone can play)

Raygar: Legendary Warrior (arcade)(Spot on action sidescroller, fast and skillful)

I suppose it's Planescape: Torment, which I also consider my most favouritestest game of all time... and with good reason. It's just so ridiculously good. In fact I am currently in the middle of yet another playthrough...

Oh yes, and playing it on a 42" LCD TV (which I use solely as a computer monitor) is just epic awesomeness, at least with the resolution mod thingything.

Probably Total Annihilation and Wing Commander: Prophecy, mostly because in terms of Gameplay Graphics they have stood the the of time very well. I really should install some of the mods for TA though.

I'm currently playing FFX. The cinematic are actually better than some of the stuff on 360

Star Trek: Bridge Commander (2002)

One of the most heavily modifiable games I have ever played. You can download all the Star Trek ships, but also Star Wars, Babylon 5, Stargate, etc and go fight in an all out 360 degree free space multiplayer battle royal.

Its one of the few games that actually are worth more with age. I saw one on ebay for 80 dollars. (it was 45 when I bought mine).
