Marcus backed up, but still shielded his face with his hand as Dawn took off. He watched her fly up with an impressed and amazed expression.

"You're totally just checking out her a-" one of the voices started to say.

"Shut it. All of you." Marcus thought as Dawn landed.

"Oh that's right, you like Enapay don't you? My mistake." said a voice with a chuckle. Marcus clenched his fist momentarily before opening it. The voices were usually annoying, but today even more so. They were becoming a problem that needed to be dealt with.

Dawn returned a moment later, shaking her again-smoldering hand. "Okay. I'm better now." She slipped her hoodie back on.

"Great," Marcus said "Sorry again about putting you through that but...we had a problem and you seemed like the best solution."

Marcus made an effort to keep the guilt he was feeling from becoming a noticeable facial expression.

Alex couldn't help but grin as he watched Dawn rocket off and release the built up energy far above the city in a long rope of flames. He hoped that whoever placed the device that caused the fire and so much damage had seen it.

When she made it back to the ground, he shielded his face from the heat coming from the gouts of fire that she apparently used for propulsion. "Wow." Alex said in a low voice. As much as the Omega event had changed things in so many ways, the idea of flying around like some of his favorite superheroes was still something he wished he had gained from the energy wave. "Just...wow." He raised his tone back to normal and addressed her, as well as any of the rest who wanted to add something. "So, what should we do now? I think the EMTs and fire department can handle the rest of this for now."

Enapay gazed in awe as Dawn absorbed the brunt of the fire. As he gazed upon the spectacle, he made sure that he kept the copycat in his peripheral view. After Dawn released the fire and landed, a young man cheered and started applauding. This soon spread across the entire crowd. This was an impressive bunch that Enapay'd stumbled upon today.

"Good job!" Enapay called to Dawn from where he'd been standing, still keeping track of the copycat out of the corner of his eye.

Underneath New York City...

"Damn. The Omegas in this city are starting to become a real issue now. They're usually too scared to pull something this ballsy. I guess Albarn was more important than we thought. Should've had him in our pocket." A dark brown haired, handsome, Caucasian man, looking to be in his late twenties, dressed in a grey leisure suit, with a neatly trimmed goatee and small, prescription glasses was gazing upon an impressively large monitor that took up most of the wall.

It was not the only one, however. There were others, containing complex maps of the city and other feeds. He was in a complex command center of sorts. Many employees, almost all of them wearing headsets, were present. Some of them were filing documents, others typing away at terminals and making calls on the headsets. A large amount of them were also gazing upon the screen from the ground floor and others from the balcony, which could be accessed from the ground floor by two large sets of stairs.

The feed was of a recent news broadcast of the riot, just after Roar had shut it down. An African American man, dressed in a slim fitting black suit, walked up to the side of the man in the grey suit. He was bald, wore pitch black sunglasses, around forty, and had no facial hair. There was an ancient, deep scar on his chin that seemed to be from a large knife. The expression on what was visible was completely stoic. He was ice cold. "They're the least of our worries it would seem." he said in a concerned tone, hands behind his back.

"Hmph. Pause it," the brown haired man said, subsequently pointing at the screen. "Zoom in there."

There was a lone figure on the screen now. A young, handsome boy of Native American ancestery standing upon an overturned car. His expression was stern and his mouth was frozen in mid-speech. It was Enapay. Statistics appeared next to him.

"There he is," the brunette said. "Go to the satellite feed. Ronda, who're the kids he's running with? How do I take them out if it comes to that?"

The screen shifted to a live, high definition broadcast of the location where the fire took place. The multiple screens in the room where all occupied with the face of an Omega. Similar statistics appeared next to each of them.

An attractive, short haired woman of Asian descent, in a red business outfit, stood. She answered, in monotone, "Erica Adanson. Class B. Some kind of crystal and energy manipulation. If standard arms prove ineffective, sonic weaponry should suffice against her. Marcus Leroy Hawkins. Class B. He can morph into liquid, so any cryogenic weapons would serve as his foil. Lloyd Zhen-"

"I know everything about him. Roar's not a priority of mine, right now. Let somebody else focus on him. Preferably the idiots that let him get away, in the first place," interrupted the brown haired man.

"Next, Ben...well there's no last name listed. Again, no apparent weaknesses. But, he's not bulletproof. Currently, that is. He's apparently able to copy the powers of other Omegas. And the girl who's just arrived on the scene. Dawn Anastasia. She's able to manipulate and absorb both light and fire. She uses the flame manipulation to fly. Cryogenic weapons or water should work."

"Why don't just we send a squad after him? Obviously, we can merc those other kids if it needs to happen," the bald man said.

"You know damn well, why. 828's too unstable. Too unpredictable. And above all, too powerful. If we attack him, he might experience any mixture of emotions that'll send him right over the edge. He'd obliterate whatever we sent after him and then it's Jersey all over again."

"I doubt it would be that severe. How about we let loose one or two of the subjects?"

"Absolutely not. They all represent a significant investment and I don't believe any are prepared to deal with him. Not yet, anyway."

"Why don't we just bring in people who can actually handle him?"

"Who exactly might that be?"

"The O.R.U.?"

"I doubt that'll work. They ask too many questions. It'll more than likely comeback to bite us in our collective ass. You know how much of a boy scout Toshiro is. You can be sure he's aware of our track record, too. He'd know something's up. Maybe he'll recognize 828 as the threat he his and capture him himself.......I'll send 14, just for reconnaissance."

"Foxhound?" An eyebrow was visible over the black man's sunglasses.

"You rang?" asked a human voice with a machine-like quality. An athletic figure dropped from the ceiling, gracefully landing on the ground with complete and utter silence. It was a very fit man of average height, in a jet black, skin tight body armor made of some sort of special alloy. His compact helmet sported a glowing, bright green, Y-shaped visor. There was also a ninjato like sword on his back and H&K MK23 in his hip holster, which was located on his left hip. The figure crossed it's arms.

"When did you get back?," the man with glasses asked.

"A few minutes ago."

"You heard everything?"

"Yes."

"So there's no reason to tell you anything?"

"No."

"What's the status on subject 699?"

"He's healthy and maturing at an alarming rate. However, it seems that his hunger is increasing. He's consumed 72 people in the last month. I believe that we'll be able to test the chemical soon, within the next eight hours to be exact. It's looks like he's searching for something."

"What might that be?"

"No idea...but I wouldn't worry. It's not impeding his growth. And how many people could actually stop him from doing what he wants?"

"I want you to take the chemical with you, too. I'll contact you when I want it administered. That'll be all..."

"Roger," Foxhound replied before skillfully leaping up into the ventilation system.

"Vincent, let's take a walk. There's something I'd like to show you."

The bald man nodded, and followed the man in the grey suit out of the command center. After several minutes of walking through corridors, they were approaching an elevator guarded by two heavily armed and armored guards on ethier side of it.

"Sphynx," the man in grey said, Vincent right beside him. The guards nodded and called the elevator.

As they stepped on, Vincent asked, "What do you want me to see, Calvin?"

"A new creation of mine. Subject 837. Codename: Okami. As you can tell, it took a few tries, but I've successfully engineered him from an altered form of 828's DNA."

Vincent's suprise was visible behind the sunglasses. "Okami? Okami means "great god". It's powerful?"

"Extremely."

"Is he a clone? Does he have the same powers?"

"A clone? In a way, but, while they do share powers, you'll find that he is very different."

They descended further and further underground, for a total of one minute, before finally stopping. The doors opened to a large, technology filled room with dark lighting. The was a large array of expensive and complex machinery in the room, which scientist were using. The was one pod, in which a slender, naked figure was present, located in the back. It was also hooked up to multiple tubes.

"After you," Calvin said. Vincent nervously stepped in. He looked around, seeing a guard on either side of him, both wearing a silver, more advanced armor that looked more sleek and technologically superior to what the guards on the higher floors were wearing. They had no weapons in hand, but each of them looked very intimidating. Vincent suspected that the armor was even more dangerous than it seemed.

They passed a construction project. More specifically, a group of engineers were manufacturing what looked like a metallic dark gray, even more advanced version of the armor that was just seen on the guards. Vincent was awestruck, but his stoic face didn't show it. Within a few moments, they were in front of the pod, which was glowing with a green light.

"This, my friend, is possibly my greatest success. You are witnessing the future," said Calvin, gesturing a hand toward the boy.

Unable to hold back how shocked he was, Vincent removed his sunglasses to see more clearly. It almost felt like Deja Vu to him. A scene from over four years ago, but things were different. The boy in the pod was handsome, almost pretty, having features similar to Enapay's when he was fourteen, though the were far from exactly the same. The boy was about the same size as Enapay at that age, if not an inch or so taller. His luminescent skin, which almost glowed under the light that illuminated the pod, was very pale, and his hair, which was very long, but not as long as Enapay's had been during his escape, was completely white.

Upon closer inspection, his body had ports that were similar to the ports on the necks of the people from The Matrix, except they were located on his entire body. Five of them ran evenly down the middle of his back, no doubt connected to his spine. Two were on his chest. One was above his navel. Lastly, there was one on the back of each calf.

He also had a few odd, barely noticeable lines on his arms. Most people wouldn't know what to make of it, but this told Vincent that the arms were cybernetic. Only partially flesh. There was also a barcode tattooed on the bottom of his right foot.

"He has all of 828's abilities. Plus, he doesn't have to sleep to heal, and I've outfitted his arms with multiple weapons, and seismic generators, able to produce perfect seismic vibrations. Basically a more complete blueprint of our work with Subject 237," Calvin said, adjusting his glasses as he admired his work. The tone of his voice bled pride.

Vincent couldn't stop his heart from speeding up.

"Almost like an angel. Is he not?" Calvin grinned.

Roar took their words for that the she can handle it without the need of water. He quickly told the fire fighter to stop and let them continue their job at the building. He turns around to them and is shock as the girl shot up into the sky above like a rocket. He is even more surprise how she was able to land back onto the ground and had recovers from her pain.

Look like I've underestimated her, she can handle her powers well mostly. I'm not sure how I can keep this a secret to Mizu seeing how she just flew up in the sky like that.

He approaches her and apologise "Sorry for the misunderstanding, I'm Lloyd AKA Roar."

Erica had watched the whole scene with a detatched air, watching the new girl's attempts to put out ther blaze herself, and her concern about being sprayed with water, even at a low level.

Wellof coure, she has fire abilities, doesn't she?

Still, the girl managed to handle it on her own, and Erica was impressed despite herself.

"Huh. Not bad, kid. My name's Erica, by the way. And you are...?"

As the crowd applauded, Dawn blushed even harder and had to resist the urge to pull her hood over her head. "Thanks, but... really, it was nothing."

"Sorry again for putting you through that," said Marcus. "We had a problem, and you seemed like the best solution."

"No, really, it's fine," Dawn said quickly, tugging at her collar. "Just... glad I could help."

"Sorry for the misunderstanding," said Lloyd. "I'm Lloyd, AKA Roar."

"Huh," said Erica. "Not bad, kid. My name's Erica, by the way. And you are...?"

"Dawn. Dawn Anastasia. And... I guess my other name's Kid Phoenix. Nice to meet you all. And it's also nice to meet some people like me that don't want me dead," she added, giggling slightly. Though one gets the distinct impression she doesn't find the idea funny.

Hearing Dawn nervously state that people wanted her dead, Alex raised an eyebrow. She had been nervous about something when she appeared after the fire was going, and if this was it...

"Dawn, Lloyd, Erica," Alex began. "I think the fire department and the EMTs can handle the rest of this from here. If you guys want to relax, I know a nice burger joint a ways from here." While waiting for a response from the others, he then leaned closer to Dawn and lowered his voice so only she could hear him. "If you see anyone suspicious, tell us. We've got your back."

Ghost could see the riot breaking up as he walked closer towards where the deafening roar was. The chaos must had subsided because of the roar. The only thing he could do now was find the cause of the fear inducing howl but it would be easy to presume it was an Omega, and finding one who did that specific power would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Ghost was still invisible, unable to be seen. He kept dodging past people as he walked, trying careful not to freak anyone out. Eventually he slipped into a side street where someone was trying to use a vending machine that seemed to not want to take her money. Davoren though of a plan. He snuck around and stood next to the lady. As the money went in, he placed his hand where the money came out and kept it covered. The woman must have been trying for a while as she went to grab in by instinct, but stopped when she saw nothing. Davoren pulled away the currently invisible money and walked away with it. It wasn't much, but he might be able to get some water for it. He shoved it in his pocket and walked off.

An explosion rippled through the air. Fearing another riot, Ghost ran down a road and crawled behind a group of waste bins. Even in the future, waste was a problem, fortunately for Ghost anyway. He decided to hide here until he felt safe.

I'm going to be moving no where fast! Davoren cursed. He had no sense of direction, no sense of purpose, and nothing to do but hide, fearing another riot. He sat against the wall, surrounded by nothing discarded trash and the cold concrete he sat on.

When Alex had said the word burger joint Roar stomach stated to rumble. He realise that he had not eaten anything in the morning other then taking a drink of water when he at the back of the ambulance. He assumes that the large dinner he had yesterday was keeping his stomach at bay until now. Realising that the others had heard his stomach growling he felt a bit embarrass for his stomach noise.

Roar politely said "Err I could do with something to eat but shouldn't we check on Enapay? I think he is still squaring off with that other Omega."

He turn to see how Enapay was doing.

Dawn only nodded to Alex's offer for help. Her eyes flit around once or twice before settling somewhere in front of her.

"Actually, a burger would be really good. I haven't eaten since this morning, and I'm starving."

"I'd like to get something to eat." Marcus said. "I should probably pick up something for...a friend of mine too." he added, thinking about Sonny. "Hopefully I have enough money on me for that. What I have now was supposed to last me all week, and it's not very much anyway..." Marcus trailed off as he looked over at Enapay and the copycat Omega. "But we seem to still have one little crisis on our hands." he said.

Erica thought for a moment. A burger did sound nice... but right now, they still had some loose ends to tie up.

Enapay and the kid with copying powers seemed to be in the midst of a debate of sorts that didn't seem to going anywhere.

Oh boy... they'd better finish this up soon, I'd rather not stick around here for very long...

"Enapy?" The Omega with the faceguard nudged his head towards the Native he had seen before exchanging words with the copycat. The two were still engaged in a verbal tug of war when Alex saw them. "Oh, him."

"We seem to still have one little crisis on our hands." Marcus said.

"Yeah." Alex replied. As interested as he was with seeing the two argue with each other like they were, the scene they were making was starting to get in the way of other things going on nearby. Taking a step forwards, Alex slapped his hands together a few times like he was trying to scare off some wild dogs. "Hey! You two." he shouted, hoping to break the arguments of the two up.

Ben continued to stare down the chaotic omega. He couldn't rish lowering his guard to this one, though the longer he stalled him the worse off his situation seemed to become. Two more omegas ran over there way in the meantime, and as if already familiar went to work. It was another alterationist, and that made two of them, and the other was a firebug which she didn't waste any time making clearly evident as she leapt into the burning building and started to take all the flames into herself. She was a very -strong- firebug, and a very dangerous one as she shot up into the air and released it all in a massive flare burst. In fact, she might even be more dangerous than the chaotic one that was now standing behind him as Ben turned to watch the girl.

Those two weren't alone either. There was another omega, it was very faint but he could feel it beyond the limits of his abilties. But he was close enough to tell what it was: A cloaker. Whether it was camoflage or outright invisability he couldn't tell, but that would have been just would he needed. If only he were closer. But that wasn't going to happen. Now that the building was mostly out and the other omegas had finished patting each other on the back, all eyes turned to him and the chaotic omega.

From bad to worse, he thought. Now not only was he confronted, but surrounded and outnumbered, and not by humans like he was earlier, but by omegas. However, they were all on one side. On the other, the only omegas were the chaotic one and the cloaker. Even the chaotic had taken a turn congratulating the firebug, which gave Ben an opertunity to place a few steps between them. Eventually, his eyes joined the rest of the others back on him.

"Look, you don't want to hurt me." Ben told him, moving his focus over to the sonic omega. He didn't need much from him. His vocal power wasn't as much decibal, but frequency, something about it affected people.

"I don't want to hurt you either, so you just let me go. Let me go now." he told the chaotic omega, his voice reverberating with the borrowed ability as he lost the chaotic omegas powers. Those few steps he needed to clear his focus and let him find someone else. Being so close to an omega like that, his was the only power he could sense at all. Now he could use one he was more familiar with. If it worked as it should, the only one that would notice would be the sonic omega since he wasn't affected. And if it came after him, he figured he could take at least one of them...

Enapay suddenly found himself intimidated by this man, taking a step backwards. "What the hell?" he said as he felt the chills run down his spine. At the words, the prodominantly human crowd reacted as if something had smacked them in the face, suddenly paralyzed with an inexpicable fear. While the copycat was talking in relatively normal tone, his voice seemed louder, even more so to Enapay's sensitive eardrums. It caused a dull ringing. Enapay grimaced. It was not a scared grimace or a pained grimace, but an angry one. Almost livid.

Crack. A crackle of red energy momentarily sparked it's way around Enapay's right arm, then another, near his chest.

Enapay had already been on edge due to the stresses that the day brought. There was something about this man that just irked him. He was too obstinate, in the worse sense. A stubborn antagonist, looking for trouble.

Now, his fear overtaken by his anger, Enapay was affected in a way that made him more threatening than before. His aura was much more sporadic and much darker. The copycat's attempt at domination backfired.

"I know what you're doing!" Enapay yelled, taking two steps forward. His voice had a slight, astral tone to it. "Belligerent bastard. You could have just walked away. Walked away without saying anything more. But you don't know when to stop." He took another two steps forward and extended his hand in the copycat's direction, attempting to close his mouth with his amplified telekenetic abilities.

He applied enough force for it to be painful, gritting the man's teeth onto each other, but not to crush his jaw completely. "Shut your mouth! And don't do anything that might get you killed!... You really should just leave." Enapay's eyes weren't glowing yet, but his frame shook with anger, his breath became more ragged, and his expression was one that would be lethal if looks could kill. "Just give me a reason to squeeze harder," Enapay thought, gritting his own teeth.

"Wait, what're you doing?!" yelled Dawn in a high-pitched voice. "Stop it!"

She ran forward to grab Enapay's arm to make him let Ben go, shouting, "Stop! This isn't solving anything! He just wants to leave!"

"What the hell do you mean only trying to leave?" Enapay countered with some anger. "You didn't feel that?!"

"Ugh," Enapay breathed as Dawn uselessly tugged at his arm. She didn't budge it. "LOOK, Dawn," Enapay started. Holding the copycat was easy, but it took a little effort to form coherent sentences. "I know you just...got here....So I'll...fill you in."

"This man has been nothing but a nuisance since he arrived on the scene. He's threatened innocent civilians lives and treated us like enemies." The teen then raised his tone to a loud, angry, almost manic yell, staring a hole into the copycat. "But what this IDIOT fails to grasp is that the only one acting hostile was him! Nobody wants to hurt him! Or at least, I didn't before! But then he had to try and send a message at the end! Like he still had some idiot point to prove! That made me mad! And I warned him about that," Enapay growled.

"I don't think I clarified just how thin the ice that he was treading on was, for the sake of being mannerly to this jackass! I would have made him my friend if he'd proven himself worth such a thing! But nooo!! He's a contriving, conniving, self-important rat, Dawn! I can almost smell it!" the boy continued.

"You don't know it, but all he's been doing is sizing us up from the very beginning! Seeing how he can take advantage of us! I can tell! Cause he thinks we want to hurt him for some stupid reason! Like he can't except that there are indeed decent people in this world! He was even sizing up you." Enapay then made an incoherent noise of pain.

The dark skinned boy then fully directed this rant to the man in his grasp, brushing past Dawn and taking a few steps closer. "And if you DARE try and take her powers and burn me, burn someone else, or steal anybody elses powers, EVEN MINE, your face is as good as gravel! GRAVEL!!!! Understand?!"

Enapay chest heaved slowly as he added a fraction of pressure to the telekinetic hold. Just to make the man's pain just a fraction more taxing. He knew that the man couldn't talk, but body language would suffice.

Deep down, a more sane Enapay hoped that the man paid attention to every word spoken. The unfortunate part was that this wasn't even the worst the state the boy could achieve.

Alex, hearing Enapy starting to rant against Dawn and anyone else who was listening, felt his heart starting to race and adrenaline pumping into his veins. This guy reminded him of Feron, just with psychic powers, and the situation was getting him back into the mindset of his guard duties.
[image width=300]http://www.kingofswords.com/images/MedievalWarHammer.jpg[/IMG]

He had only been in a few situations where he needed to fire his weapons, but at that moment, he wished he had brought one of the campus's pistols with him. He still had his dagger, rusted even after he'd reformed it, but he held back an urge to run straight up and stab. He had to use another tactic to get this kid to knock it off.

Looking over at the copycat, then at Enapy, then at Dawn, he couldn't see any other options besides taking action against Enapy. Looking around for anything he could use, he noticed a piece of the steel that made up outside of the building nearby. It was holding shards of glass in some of the rubber fastenings, but Alex wasted no time in removing his gloves, albeit shakily, and grabbing it.

Holding one end with both hands like it was a sword, he tried to focus on the object he wanted it to become. Something heavy but not sharp. Something that would help him if their raging bull chose to focus on him. As the steel began to shift in his hands, the glass and rubber fell free of it's form and what remained soon formed into the shape of a war hammer.

"Perfect." The hammer was heavy in his grip and although he was able to hold it with one hand, this was far better than his dagger if what he had planned got out of hand. As he passed Roar and Marcus, he tapped Roar's shoulder and gestured for them to get closer to the copycat in case he needed help or aid. Enapy kept focusing on his target as Alex circled around his backside as fast as he was able.

Quick as a flash, he dropped the hammer nearby and removed his denim jacket. Taking it by the sleeves, he tossed it over Enapy's head and wasted no time tightening the jacket around his face and eyes, hoping it would cut off his vision.

"Were you even listening to me?!" Enapay yelled, muffled by the jacket, but still very audible. He felt the copycat still in his grasp and didn't let go. "He was trying impose his will on all of us! With Roar's powers! Don't you see?! I can't believe that you'd disregard that! Look at the people! They were paralyzed with fear and I wasn't because of me! I wasn't picking a fight with him! No one was!! He could have peacefully walked away! Peacefully!! Are you saying that I'm not allowed to be pissed?! This guy is a dick!" the boy pleaded, his tone pained and angry.

"I don't even want to hurt...anyone else!" Enapay forced out. "Damn it! Get off!" Enapay struggled with the jacket using his free hand. Enapay's one arm was significantly stronger than the average human body. He pulled hard enough that the jacket should be wrenched out of Alex's hands, simulatanious pushing his back into the man in a attempt to create space. He then snapped his gaze to Alex. "I'm not going to...to kill him..."
