Warhammer 40k ask me any ANY minor lore question or random fluff or the points of some really minor unit and I'll know it.I can recite way to much of The Infantryman's Uplifting Primer.Morrowind comes in a close second followed by the whole of Warcraft.
Warhammer 40k.

The Armor of Contempt was written by who, as a defense against what? No googling now...

[sub]Yah, I know its an easy one. It's 1130, get off my back.[/sub]
I believe it was written as a defense against heretics and witches and I want to say it's written by Ravenor but I know it's wrong and he just uses the phrase Armor of contempt.
I think you stumped me but I've been drinking so I'll hide behind that for my failure.
My armor is contempt.

My shield is disgust.

My sword is hatred.

In the emperor's name, let none survive.

--The Spheres of Longing, Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor
Oh damn you the way you phrased it I figured the Armor of Contempt was a separate book. You had me confused but I guess I was right then it was Ravenor.
But yes Spheres of Longing as quoted in Dan Abnetts Armour of Contempt.

Thats right Persona(a JRPG)>>>>>>>Anything made by Bioware. Bar none.
Fistbump! I agree wholeheartedly! Not saying Bioware games are bad, I just couldn't get into them and never finished one.

Also, I'm a huge Tales Of fanboy. Looking forward to the English version of Tales of Graces F since I never got around to importing the original.

1.) Resident Evil - My first zombie game, Leon is probably the coolest person to ever be thought up, and it introduced me to my favorite creatures: zombies. No amount of griping will make me not love the series.

2.) Starcraft - Best. Strategy games. Ever.

3.) Scrubs - Best. Comedy sitcom. Ever.

And finally:

G4 My Little Pony

No amount of friends lost talking about it will deter me from loving this show.

Sorry that's 4 things :p

Nothing in particular, but I do find that things I like, such as Code Geass, I watch a lot and read a lot into and develop a deep understanding of. Not a fanboy per se, but definitely a fan

MGS.

I just... love MGS. I don't even know why that is but ever since I played MGS2, I was hooked.
I love conspiracy stories and those types of spy mysteries and MGS is the pinnacle of that for me.
I have no idea why, but your avatar is mesmerizing. Every time i see a post by you, i always spend at least 30 seconds watching your avatar.

OT: Hmm, the one thing im a fanboy for...PROBABLY My Little Pony Friendship is magic. However, there is a close second: any rts that doesn't take place in space. You know, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, Empire Earth (never ever played into the spacey age), Warcraft etc.

Captcha: Roffil ksh ...wtf?

I agree with you on points 1, 3 and 4 :D. Starcraft made me sick though. I have a friend who loves starcraft to the end of the universe, so I really tried to like it. :(

Magikarp. Yep, Magikarp. I hunted for six months to find and purchase a Magikarp plush once, and I have a team in every single Pokemon game I have owned that has six level 100 Magikarp. I've named fish Magikarp and I LOVE MAGIKARP. I'm not sure why, I think I feel bad for it and find it somewhat endearing.

Probably Age of Empires, too. I don't care about diplomatic relations or infrastructure, I just want to go mess up some dubiously accurately portrayed historical faces.

Also, Rush. Why? It's Rush.

The Beatles. I'm okay if you say it's not your style; but if you say they suck, especially without giving a single good reason why, you better have some guys around. Because I will leap across a table just so I can reach your neck. Seriously, I dare someone to say something bad about them; I will come through your printer and beat you with your own keyboard! I'm kidding, I've never phyically assaulted someone over the subject. But if there was ever an arguement I could win...

Video game-wise: I love Metroid the best, but a quick look at my game shelf would suggest Halo. Mainly because I love Metroid the best, but I have all six of the Halo Games, including Halo Wars.

KOTOR, both 1 and 2. If you say that you were a bigger fan of either than me then I would have to challenge you to a duel.

In all seriousness though, I adore both games and pretty much refuse to let any of their flaws distract me from how awesome they are.

Oooo that would have to be Sony. The PS2 IS my childhood. I am working on building the entire library for the system. To count, there are over 2000 titles and I will purchase them all.

Bioware games. Mass Effect and Dragon Age mostly, I'm just now getting into KotOR/Baldur's Gate/Jade Empire.

My friends will seriously just ask me about the games (quests/bugs and patches/plot related info/companion stuff, ANYTHING) instead of consulting the wikis because I provide more accurate and complete information.

I'm a Bioware nerd to an almost terrible degree. If you don't believe me, feel free to consult the miniature brass SSV Normandy SR2 sitting on my desk (To clarify: I made the thing).

Don't get me wrong, a lot of Bioware fans are far crazier than me, and I'm happy to acknowledge that. Very, very happy.

I'm also the resident expert on Firefly and ReBoot, but those fandoms come up far less often.

Edited to add explanation, because I fail at reading.

I've always loved RPGs, and things with strongly developed characters get into my head for all of eternity. I love Bioware games because I can lose myself in them. I come home stressed out with a hundred-million things to do, and playing an hour of DA:O mellows me out like nothing else.

That, more than anything, is why I've logged so many in-game hours. Mid-terms, finals, stressful situations at work? Time for two hours of Mass Effect. Not being me for a while is my best coping mechanism. It gives me time to calm down and assess any situation without having a panic attack over it. I think everybody has something that they use for this purpose. For some people it's a hot cup of tea, for some people it's a walk outside, some people call their friends, I like to save galaxies.

Summation: All I want from media is well-developed characters living in a universe that I can easily imagine spending a few hours traversing.

SILENT HILL. Let me write that again... SILENT HILL.
My favorite entertainment of any kind. It's better than any book I've ever read, any movie I've ever seen, any game I've ever played... There is nothing, save for the girl I live with, more beauteous than Silent Hill.

SILENT HILL IS MY GOD. I AM A SLOBBERING FANBOY FOR WHOM THERE IS NO HOPE.
This. I'm tired, very long week, so this sums up my feelings for that franchise. I get all girly and excited if I even see that title even mentioned anywhere in a gaming article.

I'm pretty sure I audibly squeal when I see Silent Hill mentioned. I may also jump up and down smacking my hands together like a possessed circus seal.
"IT'S LIKE THEY 'GET' ME, YOU KNOW?"

I probably need therapy. I have the same reaction about Radiohead. I am a gentle, squishy teddybear of a man, but if someone insults Radiohead, my soul is filled with smoldering, righteous fury...

stargate here, i own all the dvd's, etc, etc.... was considering buying a replica staff weapon but for the price/poor quality material/shipping weirdness

a fan because it's a great show... long running to resolve plots, great blend of mythology and sci-fi with with and appropriate half-bullshit space laser battles half traditional bullets and half great character development

plus, the audio commentaries are funny as hell... and i grew up with it (well... sort of - throughout my teenage years) so it holds a special place in the black twisted mass that used to be my heart

Touhou... Get in between me and anything Touhou-related and I will slit your throat. *evil laugh* Not really, but if someone does get in between me and Touhou, I will be raging mad.
Now Im not trying to troll here (I might accidently troll though)

But what is it that seperates tohou from other bullet hell games that makes it so famous?

Also Im not sure you could really call me a complete expert fanboy on anything but I will stick with nintendo till the day I die. Iam also a fanboy of (to a lesser extent) queen and doctor who

Warhammer 40k. I just love the universe. I love the characters, the over the top melodrama, the action, the hopelessness, the epicness.
Seriously, throw a WH skin on a boring game and suddenly I love it. It was the only way I would play Fallout 3 and I hated that.
This. The setting is just so balls-to-the-wall ridiculous and overdramatic that it comes full circle and turns awesome. Plus, absolutely everything about it is either disturbing or depressing as fuck.

The resident evils before Resident Evil 4. Drives me nuts when people say RE 4 is better. *Must resist urge to rant about it not being RE at all...hurgh* What can I say I'm a fanboy *Shrugs*
As to why? I guess I grew up with them and they were the first survival horror games I ever played. Which might explain my hatred of RE4 because it was like smacking my childhood in the face and I found it boring as hell honestly. Again fanboy, sorry :(.

The Metal Gear Solid series. Not only is the plot nothing short of awesome, but it has one of gamings greatest characters (Solid Snake). It's the one series i have loved that hasn't turned to total shit, and for that i still respect it and all who work on it.

Doctor who is also another series i love, but i played metal gear long before i was introduced to it properly so yeah...
