I am not going to argue, although i will be checking in to see how many trolls this little bit of bait manage to grab. Let me grab the proof that you are wrong. Each is a game and my notes on why it is fun.
Oblivion, Skyrim, and Morrowind
First Person Perspective, RPG
Massively fun for any RPG Fan, controls are a bit shoddy though.
Knights of the Old Republic
RPG, Traditional
Based on a tabletop Star Wars RPG, gave birth to an entire era of Star Wars Cannon. Gameplay is good for a RPG, storyline is... well its a BioWare game.
Star Wars:Battlefront
Third Person Shooter
Extremely well balanced, and a blast to play.
Fallout III
Yes I am aware of the Pattern.
First Person Perspective, RPG
Also known as Skyrim V 0.5, was a testing ground for alot of what was used in Skyrim. Still holds up in the gameplay area.
Chrono Trigger
Yes, I am going with all games across all of TIME
JRPG
Good combat system, allows for differing speed between heroes and their opponents. Good characters, nice story, and its a blast to play.
Kingdom Hearts
I know, I play alot of RPGs ok?
JRPG
The entire series is a blast, doesn't have much in the way of player choice, plays off nostalgia without being cheesy(Disney meets Final Fantasy is an alternative title for the series). Some of the best boss battles, and later games in the series do fix pretty much every issue with the game play.
Mount and (Freaking) Blade:Warband
I ignore the other two.
RPG, Horseback Combat Simulator, Feudal Europe Simulator
That's not an exaggeration by the way, its combat system is actually centered on you being on a horse. It also has an descent political system in-universe and it is just a blast to play.
Minecraft
Defies Genre
Shut it. I know it has Multiplayer. However Multiplayer is not the focus of the game.
It is not exactly polished, but you will be hard pressed to find anyone who actually cares about game play flaws(The only genuine complaints are about how its a system hog and the graphical engine could use a overhaul, and I agree on that much).
Portal I and II
Puzzle
No it is not a platformer. While it may use platforming elements it is indeed a puzzle game at its core. It focuses on the direction of momentum via portals rather than navigating a nonlinear course via maneuvering.
Dungeons of Dreadmor
Rougelike
Yeah, you never heard of it. Its a indy game, its a brutal game with permadeath. You stand no chance of victory without both flawless strategy and the Fates deciding to give you the items you need to stand a chance at victory.
Space Pirates and Zombies
Space Shooter
Its a space shooter with a Mech Warrior-styled ship customization system. It is a blast to play, and the game's missions and galaxy are all procedurally generated.
Hacker Evolution
ITS DEFYING GENRE!!!
Its a hacker simulator, its also nearly a puzzle game I suppose.
Bejeweled
Casual Puzzle
Hardcores, shut it now. Look up on the list. See those games? Proof that I am not just a casual gamer, but nobody can honestly say that Bejeweled is a bad game. Its incredibly fun, easy to learn, and impossible to win.
Evochron Mercenary
Spacecraft Simulator
Underrated game, buts its still a blast to play. Utilizes Newtonian Physics to create a space simulator that makes you actually feel like you are flying a ship. Combat is difficult to even get a handle on, but thats mostly due to the fact that you have to adjust to having to use momentum to let you fire in a different way from where you are moving.
Atom Zombie Smasher
STOP DEFYING GENRE ALREADY!!!
Its actually kinda what it says on the tin. Its like a strategy game, only you have five units, randomly selected from seven, that you utilize to hold off zombies while evacuating the civilians during a zombie apocalypse.
Torchlight
Dungeon Crawler
Sorry guys, Diablo II and III have enough multiplayer elements for me to not use them as examples. Torchlight has absolutely no multiplayer, is insanely fun to play, and is just so well designed I can overlook its flaws(Five room fever).
That's all I can think of, at least for the PC and a few console games.
TL;DR
Too bad for you.
