The Origin of Your Handle/Gamertag

How did your online handle/tag/name/ID/etc come to be? What inspired you to make yourself known by that name?

Mine came from my own name (Benji) and hearing about a rap artist from a friend named "Young Jeezy (SP?). I slapped the two words together to form "Benjeezy", which made him laugh. He proceeded to call me that for the rest of the year.

PS, yes, I search-barred this bad boy. This topic hasn't been done for a bit, and I decided to reveal my origin story for the first time. Now it's your turn

Anyway, as to the origin...
Greyfox105 is my designation. I saw no reason to not use it everywhere else.

My nickname has been Fred for about 20+ years (nothing like my real name) and then when we were about 16 we wondered what our superhero names would be. Easy really, also I tend to get to be Batfred without having to resort to underscores or parenthesis or numbers.

The joke was always that "I, after reading the critically acclaimed novel The Hatchet, misspelled my name." Truth be told, it was not because of said novel, but I did intentionally misspell Hatchet.

I just like the way it sounds, I've been using it since F.E.A.R (the only game I ever played on PC online)... Shit, that was a while ago... I prefer my friend's tag "Hamper-King".

None of them mean anything either.

You just have the Trifecta of Kickass going on, y'know that? Good name, good avatars, and good posts.

Well any names i have online are linked to various songs. in my curent case, its Cupajoe by anthrax, except i changed it to two p's because i didn't like the spelling >_>

and the 4 is there because it saves me putting numbers at the end

How did it happen, simple when I was signing up for an account, I got to the point were I had to chose a name, I was thinking for awhile but I couldn't come up with one, untill my dad suggested costjem9. I told him that I disagreed and left the room to go to the bathroom, when I returned few minutes later, I found that costjem9 had being chosen.

Rather than arguing I just decided to go with it, I even got a message from a stranger online which included a compliment about my name.

My Escapist name comes from my love of Lord Of The Rings, the numbers I'll get to in a sec.
My PSN and profile name for everything else is delta4062, coming from Republic Commando. Delta are the names of the squad members, and 40 and 62 are my two favourite ones. Scorch and Sev, it pisses me off when people see my name and say It's some Delta Force wannabe thing.

I have wondered about whether LOTR had something to do with your name, and now I know.

Mine comes from the name of a character in an original story I am working on. He's kind of a Darth Vader-type... good guy who goes bad in the service of an evil master only to be somewhat redeemed in the end.
