Honey you are suffering form nostalgia. You can never say that an old game roaster is better than today standards. Yes individually you can say that freaking mario brothers 3 is waaaay more fun than Sacred 2. But that is an individual game colission. If you take a whole generation of games and match it up with another whole generation of games you will see that closer to present games will always outgun the petty 64 bit counterparts.

Just learn this:
"Nostalgia is a mouth full of balls."

Got to say, they don't make games like they used to.
Remeber Driver? The simple joy of outrunning cops in a 70's Starsky and Hutch fashion.
Or MGS?
Games now just lack that spark of originality.
Exactly the point i'm making :)

I just got called honey >_> :D Wendell, maybe i just prefer the older style of games then, the one that focus more on story than graphics and throwing action left right and centre at us.

I loved my PSX so much I got an electric shock off it when I to repair the power connection inside using a bit of foil and sticky tape lol.

It worked as well and the shock was pretty painful but it was worth it.

I remember at the time in the UK the playstation was seen as "cool" in popular culture and a bit of an icon.

N64 was ok but I only bought it for Goldeneye tbh, most of its great games were just new instalments in long running Nintendo franchises, which didnt really interest me

Playstation had Wipeout which automatically made it the best console I have ever played. (it was never as good on the n64 and pc before you mention it)

Loved the old ps1 still my favorite console of all time, remeber the first two games I ever played crash bandicoot and 4x4 racing, I think something about racing pickups was naff but nostalgia makes it better heh.

Guess im wierd but I still find it playable quite easily, not easy on the eyes by any means but some stuff like valkyrie profile, xenogears, crash bandicoot still hold up fairly well today.
