Object Pokemon are always the silliest. This balloon freak, for instance. Did mankind come up with balloons before or after they discovered Drifloon? What about ice cream? Did they make that up in reference to Vanilluxe, or did Vanilluxe evolve into an ice-cream shape because... what?

I believe object Pokemon are supposed to be the result of human activity. Golett and Golurk were created by humans, and have some kind of spiritual energy to power them up. The Klink family apparently showed up about 100 years before the events of Black and White, most likely appearing with the advancement of machinery. Drifloon I think are supposed to be ghostly creatures that happen to look like balloons.
