In ar-pee-gee's where you can choose your alignment, which one do do you choose to be ?
I always pick to be the son of evil and do anything that would make everyone consider me a bastard. I dont know why , I just like to. Like when you can look like the devil in fable.

Sometimes I find it easy to pick the evil choices, like beating up a bunch of drunks.
Sometimes I find it easier to pick the good choices, being nice to people and giving them a helping hand. Charming them, rather than intimidating.

KotOR (1+2) had me primarily dark side. Similarly with Fable. Mass Effect on the other hand, I found myself leaning more towards Paragon with a few exceptions (Garrus' conversations being one of them). Really, I find it comes more down to choices on an individual scale as opposed to the whole game for me. KotOR had the added bonus of letting me Force choke people though.

Lord Of Light.
I just get all pitiful toward anyone i do anything against and end up trying to make amends. I tried being evil in KOTOR and within 2 hours had quit and deleted my save out of guilt. If you made the games realistic and made me able to hate them like most of the people I know i'd be Darth Vader mixed with Satan at a celine dion concert. Yes i'm that evil...outside games.

I tend to play the good guy. Probably because I try to play the character as if I was really in the situation. I like to use my own real life principles in the games I play (although this sometimes puts me in the neutral alignment). It feels more rewarding. Plus the good guy always gets the love interest ;)

I usually go with the light side first.. then if I can stand to go through it again, I go the dark route

my exceptions to this were KOTOR 2 and Jade Empire, in which I played a Sith Fighter (guardian/destro---whatever---) and in jade empire, I just played a cheap jerk near the end, I started on the good side through most of the game, but as soon as I was asked if I wanted to keep that ghost type guy, or let him go, I was like "Damn you guys, I'm keeping him", and from that point on, I was hardcore badass.

Well with games, I do one, then the other. Personally, I find it rewarding to kill a person one time, then the next show him pity so he can die by other means later.

Good guy, because I can't be the bad guy. Though, renegade is fine...

Lawful good is lawful great but Chaotic good will get the date
How poetic

The first go through a game is usually end on the good/light side.

Am I the only one who thinks that the good and evil choices are to transparant in most games?

yeah, they are, they're also not cannon, generally speaking

I prefer to see what happens at the end of a game, not some alternate reality.

Thats because there is

Good Evil

The nine allingments in DnD is great because there is a lot of grey.. Do you obey they law that will kill an innocent? Do you try to keep ballance or stay out of the fight? Do you kill him or her?

Okay maybe the greyness isnt there towards the Chaotic Evil end of things..

Chaotic Good First
Evil Bastard Second
This means any NPCS that piss me off (Traders in Fable primarily and some guards in Oblivion) I kill them, quickly and without mercy.
But i do love to see the happy "I'm freaking Jesus" endings before for the "I Satan bow down to me bitches and shine my shoes" endings in most games. But hey that's just me

I'm normally nice to most of the people in games like this, then act like a total asshole to those few exceptions.

in Mass Effect, in my Renegade Game, I unlocked the Renegade quest, and I went through it the Paragon way... it was kind of funny... the admiral expects you to go in and kill this guy in cold blood, but I didn't, lol

Netural good to lawfull good, I just can't go through with been evil. Didn't have as much of a problem in mass effect apart from the big choices.

I perpetually choose Good no matter the circumstances. If you need it in D&D-speak it's Lawful Good.
