Yes I know, and I was kind of expecting someone to say this.

I know, I picked a really generic thread to make but I swear this only came to my mind while I was playing MGS4 and a strange thought hit me : "What if my dad was Solid Snake?". I know I should have at least expressed the question with more "creativity", but yeah, this is just what I went with so, what the hell.

Tell me though, (cause I have actually been reading through all the posts) who turned out to be your daddy or momma? Did you get lucky? Or would you rather have been adopted? XD

Well my mother is a listener from the Black Hand, Grand Champion of Cyrodiil, Gray Fox and Master of the Mages Guild. I can say I would be proud of her, yeah.

... But so is everyone else that has played Oblivion. This is why I complained in the first hand... this thread is just about listing protagonist of games and saying why they are cool or why they are not. Do you get why I think this is pointless now? Nobody else cares about who the heck I played last and neither do I about what you played... we are just talking to a wall, pouring water drops on an ocean, needling a hedgehog, putting sand on a desert... yeah, you get my point.

Just look at the past 3 pages of this thread. Only 2 quotes have been made, and they were all for "yeah, me too" purposes. What are we discussing here? What is there to be learned? What purpose does this thread serve?

No. I'm not royalty. I don't consider myself better than you. I do consider certain behaviours damaging to the community, and I'm trying to get some sense into the rest of you so we stop posting more posts like this.

Yeah, I came a little bit condescending there, but seriously, some people in here are just oversensitive teenagers that freak out everytime someone says something somewhat "rude" to them.

I don't want you to stop from "having fun". I'm trying to stop us from having THE SAME thread on the front page EVERY SINGLE DAY with a slightly different title. What do you think happens when people have nothing to discuss? They leave, there's no reason to stay. What happens when people leave a forum? The forum dies. And I believe neither you, me, or theescapist staff want that to happen.

And yes, I am aware I am being a little over dramatic in here. The forum is not going to die because this post is popular. But I've seen this pattern repeat itself and everytime is the same. People are in a forum. They discuss things. One day one of them gets offended by what others said. They complain about it. The "offender" gets banned. There's nothing interesting going on in the entire forum. The forum is just a remnant of what used to be a great forum. The forum dies, etc.
