Turok 2 for the N64. Best game ever.
Haha I agree. So many people mock me for liking Turok 2 more than I liked Goldeneye for N64 but I do! (goldeneye is sill awesome though.)
I still remember the first time I used the Cerebral Bore with a velociraptor (using the BEWAREOBLIVIONISATHAND cheat), the animations were amazing for that time and not to mention the brutality of that scene alone, accompanied by a headless lizard still moving and rolling around, like a headless chicken.

Ah, the memories, too bad I don't have an N64 with me anymore ='(
Cerebral Bore is like one of the coolest weapons ever and when you look at it it seems like it would be OP in multiplayer but it was pretty hard to get that lock on them. 4 player splitscreen Turok 2 is one of the best and simplest joys I can remember.

PS2- Tekken 5, God Hand, Def Jam Fight For New York, and no budget to buy a backwards-compatible PS3.

The only old system I own currently is my PS2, and that's because as of now my PS3 doesn't play my 50-60(can't even count them all) PS2 games.

My entire mindset on this is "Why wouldn't I keep them?"

Oh, my collections of books, games and music do regularly fluctuate due to culling and trimming for the sake of nomadic mobility, but if a system I own still functions I don't feel the need to get rid of it. I still break out the ol' Coleco every blue moon or so for a round of Donkey Kong or Q-Bert, regardless of how bad the controller is by today's standards. In fact the only one I ever 'got rid of' was my old Dreamcast during my last move for reasons of unexpected expense in shipping a bike, but I quickly got a replacement once I was all settled (and quite cheaply as well).

I fucking love my old consoles. I played my SNES to death and my Gameboy Advance SP to death. I replaced both to keep going. It just brings back more nostalgia and feels better than running a ROM. The feel of an SNES controller getting wet from the sweat of concentration is ingrained into my soul.

Pretty easy, I still play them and the fact that I don't have a current gen system (well not since it burned in a fire anyway) and my PC sucks it's my only good way to actually play games, though I haven't bought a new game in years.

I keep all my systems; games themselves on the specific platforms didn't prompt me to do so, I simply couldn't bear to part with them when I was younger, then opted to not part with relics of my childhood, and now continue the trend out of habit, if not nostalgia. Most of them are packed away; some consoles have multiple units (priors broke down, were lost then found, etc.).

I would never get rid of my old systems, I love them and they have huge nostalgia value.
That being said, I'd definitely never get rid of my PS2, how would I play TimeSplitters?

I've tried to be sensible and let go of anything pre-Dreamcast, as I live in a one bedroom flat, and space is an issue, however, I still have a PS2 and Xbox 1 wired up to an old TV, rarely used, but I have such a stack of great games on both formats that I'm really not wanting to let go of either, even considering that I have a decent PC and a 360 now.

Ideally, I'd let go of the old TV but older consoles tend to look bloody awful plugged into LCD screens. If I can convince myself to sacrifice the look however, it would buy me a lot of space.

DDR Konamix, Robo Pit 2, Digimon World 3 (and 1 and 2 if I had them) for the PS1, Animal Crossing, Amazing Island, and Digimon World 4 for the GameCube, Ballz 3D, Klax, Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, and 3, and Humans for the Genesis, and Harvest Moon 3 for the GBC. Granted I have a GBASP, that's not the point. I have my old consoles because the older games are more gameplay intensive and interesting. That, and I'm a cheap bastard that likes torrents as well.

Before my PS2 broke I played on it most of the time. The games I played on it were the Dynasty Warrior's games and a PS1 game called Vangurad Bandits.

SC-3000 for Nostalgia
Master System for Phantasy Star
NES for Cobra Triangle
Megadrive for Landstalker
SNES for Chronotrigger
Sega CD for Heart of the Alien
Saturn for Panzer Dragoon Series (Original, Zwei and Saga)
N64 for 1080 Snowboarding and GoldenEye
Dreamcast for Space Channel 5
GBA for Advance wars
Gamecube for Wind Waker, Rogue Squadron and Pikmin
PlayStation for Tenchu and Bushido Blade (though I played them recently and they were not as good as I recalled)
PS2 for Shadow of the Colossus
Xbox for Crimson Skies, Panzer Orta and Halo 2

It's strange because these days I can't be bothered with RPGs but most of the games I kept for systems were RPGs.

well I have never seen the point in selling my old consoles because I guarantee you as soon as I do I will want to play on them.
I did end up selling the C64 but strangely kept the game bubble bobble because it was so awesome (even though I cant play it now with the system gone).
Use the SNES few times a year mainly for Super Mario all stars
PS1 for parties and CTR tournaments (because I dont want my other consoles to get damaged by pissheads self included).
N64 for Perfect dark
Dreamcast for Soul Calibur
GC for Mario Kart
xbox mainly for strangers wrath but also occasionally buy new games for it and the 360 backwards compatibility is useless (as in near non existent despite what they say)
loads of handhelds mainly gameboys but also a gamegear all of which are just there I almost never play them.
However the only one permanently set up is the PS2 and I still play it regularly last game I recently purchased for it was Persona 4 my PS3 is backwards compatible but dosent play ps2 and ps1 games as well as my ps2 does it wont load FFVIII for example I also use the ps2 to watch region one films with the unlock dvd.

I still have an original Xbox so I can play Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia.

Hmm, maybe I should feed my nostalgia in the coming weeks before school starts.
