After finishing his own breakfast, Tyler set the empty plate aside and released Geist and Tank from their Pokeballs. "Good morning, guys," he said to them as he fished through his backpack for the container of Pokemon food. The young Trainer handed one brown cube to each Pokemon. "It might not be those berries you ate in the wild, Tank, but I'm sure you'll like this too," he told his Nidoran, who was inspecting the food uncertainly. "Come on, I know you're a big eater. Just try it!"
Tank took a careful nibble out of the cube of food and let out a squeal of excitement. "Ran ran!" he exclaimed.
Tyler grinned. "I told you you'd like it. Was I wrong?"
Shaking his head, Tank went back to eating, taking many healthy bites from the brown cube. He had to be hungry, if the frantic pace of his eating was any sort of suggestion. Tyler readied another cube and placed it down next to Tank in case he wanted more.
Geist, however, had been eating silently the whole time. The Abra quietly nibbled at his food, stopping only when he turned to watch Tank's loud and messy eating for a second. Geist had quite the appetite himself, but that was where his and Tank's similarities ended. Without a word, he returned to his food.
Tyler frowned just a bit. He noticed that Geist was still quite shy around other Pokemon, which concerned him. If they were going to work as a team, his Abra would eventually have to warm up to the others.
