I have already gone on record as saying that the secondary/used games market is legitimately worse for the industry than piracy---used IS, by its very definition, a lost sale for the publisher, since the customer was willing to pay money for the game and therefore would likely have bought new had the incentive and/or availability been worth it---combating used game sales is the biggest legitimate economic problem facing game publishers.
I agree, but I fail to see why you had to resurrect a News thread from over a year ago to make this point.

It is for that reason that I think EA's day-one DLC, free to people who buy new, costing the difference between a new and used game in price otherwise, is a brilliant piece of business on their part, and I think it's so devilishly clever that my hat is off to them.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play the 13 games I bought from Steam for a combined $58 over the holiday sale. Who needs new/used when there's digitally distributed for 75-90% off?
I'm sure Febuary 2010 appreciates that.
Well, I wouldn't have clicked here if you hadn't made that smart remark. Good job assisting the necromancing of this thread.

Unintentional---I was clicking around "related news" stories and momentarily forgot that...well, I was clicking around old news stories.
