Heaven by DJ Sammy, Candlelight Remix.

The reason it makes me so sad is because I saw it on Cold Case first, and if you've seen the episode I'm talking about...it kills.

Add the 9/11 remix, and well, you've got one of the saddest songs ever made right there.

Welcome to my Life by simple plan. Just kindof makes me think about stuff that happened in my life and makes me sad.

I have three that come to me off the top of my head.

What Sara Said - Death Cab For Cutie
(deals with death and hospitals)
I Will Follow You Into The Dark - Death Cab For Cutie
(death again)
Hero of War - Rise Against
(a song about the wars going on from the soldier's point of view, really emotional)

the lyrics for the three songs i posted are really sad not because of the way its sug or some really metaphorical lyrics. the songs i posted, even though they are rap, are stories. they have amazing lyracism and are a pinnicle of storytelling.

i guess its because they are so personal that they are saddining. search em up.
I did just look these up, and I have to agree that all three of those songs are probably the saddest I've ever heard.

second
third. I've heard a lot of songs/music/tune that filled my soul with such emotions, but none were able to do it as perfectly as "Mad World". Almost felt like watching my hamsters jumping off my balcony in an Indian queue.
4th.That song is so beautiful and sad. Great though.
I'll 5th that right there. Simply amazing...

For me it's a tie between Hallelujah covered by Jeff Buckley, Mad World by Gary Jules Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton (Much sadder when you know his reason for writing it) and Yesterday by The Beatles all beautiful songs that have brought tears to my eyes.

Did you hear the cover by evergreen terrace?

Off the top of my head Id pick Screaming Infidelities by Dashboard Confessional.

Would by Alice in Chains is pretty intense as well.
