Think outside the box. Plant cocaine in his big brother's locker, than leave a tip to somebody who works in the school. It doesn't have to be cocaine, but if it's too light a drug then it might not work. Other contraband in schools are also an option. If it's hefty enough you can get him flat out expelled; he probably had it coming. With him out of the way, next time the whiny lil 12 year old wants to pick a fight with you, pick him up off his feet and charge into some lockers or a wall. Although without his brother there he might just leave you alone, unless he knows you planted the evidence.

Just make sure your school rep isn't harmed by this.

Disclaimer: This is probably not the smartest nor the safest way of handling your problem, this is just what worked for me.

Go up to the kid's brother and tell him politely that if his brother doesn't knock it off, you're going to utterly wreck his shit.

Seriously. This worked for me. His little brother started that up again, I slapped him around a little bit, older brother did nothing, kid knocked it off.
First off, I've just got to say, I love what you've done with the Chimaira symbol. I got a great laugh out of that.

Anyway, on topic... I never really dealt with bullies, so I don't know how to really handle it. My advice is talk to the older brother and just see if he can talk to his younger brother. I know "talk it out" seems like teacher advice, but that is my major...
Great band, right? I originally just used the logo but then when christmas rolled around I did a shitty photoshop. Too lazy to change it back, I guess I won't.
I'm not as into them as I used to be, but I still really enjoy their music and eagerly await their new albums. I remember buying their self-titled album on a whim, having never heard of them, because I liked the cover art, and I think it was my number 1 album that year. I still can't get enough of Lazarus.

Sorry to play the "hindsight is twenty-twenty" card, but you should have apologized and made nice. I hated middle/high school, and I know that if someone knocked me over and then laughed at it, I'd hold a grudge.

Perhaps some apologies/explanations will patch everything up non-violently.

To be honest even if this older brother is as 'hardened' as you say, just go up to him and say "Your little bro is running around causing trouble for me using you as a defense and I don't wanna beat on a kid younger than me or cause any problems, can you just tell him to knock it off?"

Most older siblings will defend their little bro or sis to the death when threatened but going around using THEM to be a little douche bag is generally within the realm of said little sibling getting a serious beat down at home.

Trust me I've 'been' a scary older sibling, when I heard my sister being a brat to some other kids, I really did tell her to stfu.

If they aren't reasonable, time to drag in some parental/teacher control, I'm sorry. But you gotta do what you gotta do in this kind of situation.

Well, normally in these situations I'd try to be diplomatic, it's worked well for me so far. But on the other hand I clearly don't come across the kind of people who try to get people to be afraid of them because of their older brothers and start fights over trying to walk through people.

If you think his older brother will be a problem I'd probably go an authority figure like a teacher or the principal.

I apparently don't live in the cutthroat society so many people claim to where half the people are bullies with evil agendas trying to push people around and normally if someone had a problem with me I'd figure it was because they were having a bad day, rather than that they go around trying to enforce their evil reign of terror... sorry, going off on a tangent, anyways...
It is more of a mental thing really.Bad parents or really just about anything else can screw up your mind in one way or another.Really,a lot of this stuff about how evil the person is refers to this mental problem that they must reassure themselves as better to prove that something is okay or that they are not affected.

I've met plenty of kids I would love to beat the shit out of. I would rather stay out of prison though. Anyways this topic reminds me of this.

Really? What country are you in because if you are in the U.S. then there is a little thing called juvy
I am in the UK where the punishment unofficialy depends on how much of a commotion it made and how much damage a kid took.
I recommend this. Many teachers and authorities just eat up the mental stuff and even if that does not work, there is a very easy choice of psychoanalysis. From what I am reading, this is your typical bully.Simple, expose him for everything he really is and you destroy his reputation. From there, all you need to do is take him out.My recommendation,if you have a mean principal then make him/her work for you.It is pretty easy to suck up.
Could you expand I do not understand how to expos him or how I could get the principle to help me take him out?
walk up the to the principal and say. "look mr/miss...so and so is messing with me...ya know..so and so's little brother...the kid is trying to start a fight so if you don't want something to happen...you need to step in..or else the little kid will get an ass whooping like never before...and ill be ready for his brother 5 sec's later...and it will be self defence because i told you ahead of time and you did nothing to stop it".....threaten her/him more or less

Kick the little kids ass. Power respects power? And honestly, I would risk getting my ass handed to me to put the little fuck in his place. Douche little kids are an epidemic
Sigh....This thread makes me sad for my generation.....

Tell a teacher, tell a principle, and if that doesn't work, then I guess I don't know what to tell you.
If the guy is in America. That shit doesn't work. The system is made for bullies to succeed, not the other way around. You either intimidate your way out of the fight, or avoid the bastard.
^ this is why you got to threaten a principal with something like..well ya know...if this happens...i did tell you...and well...im sure the chanchelor would love to hear about 2 fights because of a principals inaction that they were prewarned about

Beat the hell out of the big brother.

Or, at least have a good long talk about what his brother is saying about him to others.

Like the other people here, ignore him, or just punch him in the face, there's lots you can do, but you should definately be the bigger man and walk away, violence never solves anything, except for when it does.

Keep us posted man, I'm interested to see how this goes down.

Simple answer: don't bother with them, use big words to confuse them and if they fight you get them suspended.
Its their own fault for being pricks anyway.

I'm gonna disagree with OP here. Life is NOT hell if you don't have a "good" reputation. Hell, if you went and fought EITHER of them, my opinion of you would go down a notch. Protip: Don't give a damn about your reputation and do what you think you should do. Don't let yourself be prey to the masses.

My advice? Don't give a shit about reputation. Ignore the little kid. Beating up a child isn't going to make you seem tougher, it'll just make you look like an asshat.

You said your in the UK right? Your school have a rugby team? Join it. I'm not sure how things work in the UK but I'm pretty sure most people don't fuck with the rugby team.

^this sounds like a good idea

if it comes down to it, and you NEED to defend yourself against either of them, try and position yourself in a public place. this way people can see that you aren't the victim (pls you can gain some status if you DO infact wreck their shit up in defense)

Dude, it's harassment. It's unlawful. You can get them off your ass without even causing some kind of offense. You're basically in the right, so get the book thrown at them. They're just a bunch of dumb shits doing the wrong thing.

This might actually work. If you can get it into the older brothers head that his little snot of a sibling needs to learn a lesson he might back off and watch the brother get pushed around a bit to learn a lesson. As long as you do not take it too far and actually hurt the kid.

Thats a terrible reason to join a rugby team.
