So I have been hearing about this show in the last few months called Jersey Shore, I'm sure most of you are familiar with it by now. When people who loved it described it to me I thought to myself they "can't be serious", so out of sheer principle I refused to watch it.

Then I just watched one of the latest episodes of South Park about Jersey Shore, though I have never seen said series I feel like it only fueled my fears D:

So Escapees (That right? Escapians maybe?) what are your thoughts on the this show? And any thoughts to why it is getting so much love?

You know the people on the show? Those are the same type of people that watch it. I've never been fond of reality drama and all that. Just a lot of people talking and arguing with one another about really pointless shit. Not my cup of soup, but that's just me.

Exactly, and it gives everyone the head's up to stay out of New Jersey, that makes it a public service announcement more then anything else.

I'm not a fan of the show myself, but whatever, amazingly stupid shows have always existed, and will always exist. It's not like the Brady Bunch got famous for its ground-breaking writing and realistic depiction of life in a L.A. suburb.

Its pretty much the Real World except instead of gathering a bunch of different people from differnt walks of life put into a house to create conflict, its a bunch of people that are exactly alike from the same walks of life put into a house to create conflict.

I enjoy watching it from time to time to remind myself how lucky I am to be an intelligent, functioning member of society.

I had heard fun being made of it about a year ago, and being a man of principle I thought it was only fair to actually watch some of it in order to be able to fairly make fun of it.

Within 5 minutes I had lost 15 IQ points, and suffering through a complete half hour episode caused more brain damage than the adult lifetime of various drugs I have taken.

I would loose faith in humanity over this, if this wasnt already the norm on MTV and TV in general, if this were actually a new development, but after seeing this level of nonsense for well over a decade im really not impressed or more fearful for the fate of humanity.

Im just waiting for the day when they bring back temptation island and try to merge it with the mole and "modernize" the premise by ensuring one individual on the island has a incurable STD and the winner is the one who survives the island without contracting it.
