Words are wind.

That said, when someone absolutely will not stop beating a dead horse for a good hour after it's been quite plain that they need to drop it... basically I just leave at that point.

A single phrase, though? That takes some thin skin.

'Dota 2>LoL' or vice versa

...
Dota 2 is better, though, seriously.

Also, Politics.

It's not so much that this phrase causes havoc but it's a sure sign that a shit-storm is imminent.
It's fine

"frankly ,[my dear] I don't give a damn." Or
"My storeroom of fucks is low and winter is coming." and then i leave on either of those notes.
I've left many people speechless or appalled with those since I'm normally a quiet person.

"Shinji's such a pussy"
So many people.
So much yelling ._.

On a slightly more serious note:
"Don't worry"
When someone I know is having a proper crisis and they say that, I do the opposite.
So I hate it. Because I tend to obsess over the issue until I find a solution.
Or I know that the problem has been solved.

mine would be "shut up". Mostly because its screamed by my younger sister whenever someone argues with her when she' in a bad mood (IE. all the time). So now anytime someone says "shut up" to me I get the urge to punch them in the face.

"Just don't think about it and you'll be fine". Don't think about it? How can I not think about something that is upsetting me? I envy people who can seemingly shut down entire brain functions on a whim. I've got a really obsessive personality, so a lot of the time I tend to get hung up on smaller details, and I just start to pick everything apart and start driving myself nuts. I hate it, I would like nothing more than to just "stop doing it", but I can't control it.

"just stop being depressed". Oh you're so full of great advice aren't you? Do me a favor and stop breathing for a while, and see how easy it is to force yourself not to breathe until you pass out.

"You wouldn't understand" is a good one. Nothing like implying that your logic exists on a higher plane that the other person couldn't possibly interact with.

"It could be worse" makes me want to set stuff on fire, ironically proving them right.

In no particular order: "Just sayin'", "Suck it up", "It's just what I was raised to believe" and "Everyone's entitled to his own opinion."

"You're wrong" when something I say is an OPINION.
Also, when people repeat "No" over and over. "NO NO NO NO NO N-" *Punch*

My girlfriend and I both agree that one phrase in particular needs to die in a fire made of zombies on fire:

"It can't be helped."

It's the defeatist cry of lazy fuckwits who never did anything, won't do anything, and will never be anything...because (DUR!) it can't be helped! (Whatever it is.)

Honorable mention to other phrases like...

"We must police the internet."
"Video games cause outbreaks of violence."
"Re-Elect George W. Bush."

This one. SO FUCKING MUCH! As strange as it sounds, going to my college and being a Christian makes me feel very ostracized, especially because of people telling me/my friends this about my beliefs. I never said the same to them, so I do not feel like I deserve that treatment. It doesn't help that we're visited by *ahem* more hot-blooded speakers telling everyone they're going to hell.

Aside from that, "Stop acting so childish" and "Calm down". They do not help. At all.

"First world problems"

Just fuck off.

I really dislike people that say that.

No, no i'm not living in a desolate country starving and slowly dying of dehydration but when someone takes my parking space outside my house it pisses me off.

"cheer up " Said randomly by a person on the streets. Or by some friends " why are you mad ?"

I AM NOT MAD OR ANGRY OR SAD, IT IS JUST HOW MY FACE IS !!! I don't like smiling when I don't want to smile, because I can't do a plastic smile.

Am I the only person in the world who hates the phrase, "Calm down."?

It's almost always used in a mean-spirited fashion, and rarely is it said by someone NOT involved in whatever it is you're upset over.
