Snipers don't ruin a map. If they annoy you, then just run up behind them and shoot them in the back of the head while they are looking down the scope.

Snipe them. Seriously it's not that hard. I use a scopeless Springfield, and I'm still better than most snipers I come across.

Yeah snipers can get annoying but you get shot once, you figure out where they are, and you take a shotgun to the back of their head.

He's just not being smart. He's just upset because he can't run across open ground, firing blindly. The easiest thing to do with snipers is to go into buildings. Then they're screwed.

I HATE snipers in games, mostly since I'm one of those insane people who love close quarters. I agree with his statements, I loathe snipers, no matter how much skill it takes to be good with it. I always view them as cowards, and never be a Sniper because I know how bad it is to walk to an objective for five minutes only to be instakilled by a person taking potshots on a hillside, micspamming about how he has skills.

I love both sniping and close quarters, you should really try it.



I rarely get kills with the mortar strike, but thats probably from actually sniping people rather than constantly using those one shot, easily avoidable, mortor strikes.

Snipers turn FPSs into boring point and click games. I can't think of a game that's better because of snipers.

I always wondered why snipers were in TF2.

I mean, it is TEAM fortress.

As a sniper you can take out very bothersome enemies such as medics, engineers, and other snipers. Taking them out helps your team push forward by systematically eliminating the enemy's support.

Also, fun fact: Sniper rifles (and all long-ranged weaponry) were created because people tend to prefer not dying.

I love a bit of sniping. If you don't want to get shot, don't linger in the open.

It's not like it's that hard to kill a sniper, sprint from cover to cover and he will have to pull off a good shot to take you down. Once you've gotten close enough, he's screwed, job done.

I love sniping. There's nothing much better for me than calling down the hand of God on ridges and tanks and shooting you in the face from the beginning of the map.

It really is a trollface.jpg kind of class but that's how I like it.

I also love the radar grenades.

This guy needs to learn that if he gets killed by a sniper, he should take a different route...

Play Call of Duty or Halo instead of Battlefield. Problem solved. I have only played the beta of BC2, but from the several hours I spent there I learned pretty quickly that 90% of people run Sniper classes. I feel like Snipers are a lot more balanced in CoD and Halo. CoD because most guns kill nearly as quickly as the Sniper Rifle as well as having better CQB game. In Halo, the Sniper is an extremely limited weapon due to long weapon respawns.

Snipers are in TF2 to promote the mini-game Spy Tracker... The Spy Tracker tracks his opponent up on the high ledge...as he slowly approaches the Wild Sniper Rears it's Head checking for Spies just like the Spy Tracker..but since the Spy Tracker went cloaked all is well and teh Wild Sniper Goes back to his sights..Looking for more prey to kill...So with the coast clear the Spy Tacker Moves in for the kill taking slow deliberate steps till he quick-uncloaks(cuz the Spy Tacker only plays on quick cloak servers...)and backstabs teh Wild Sniper right in his vertebra resulting in a insta-kill...Wait..This isn't playing as credit to team forgive my off-track-ness

OT: Snipers are fine it's the CAMPING snipers that are no fun..Make a kill move on to new area...don't camp and kill same person every 5 mins it's so boring imo.

Campers are less-fine, but I can still deal with them.

Call of Duty 4 ACOG Snipers can go do one though.

The problem is that most snipers couldnt hit the side of a barn with a blue whale...
I mean, good snipers help a lot, but most snipers cant really contribute as much being a sniper as another class.

I believe that having Snipers on the map makes for interesting gameplay, a bad sniper with good aim, stays in the same place, so you know exactly where to find him, a good sniper with good aim moves around and is vulnerable a lot of the time, so things are relatively even.
If you have a problem with Snipers, as previously mentioned, move to a different server or , better yet, grab a sniper and pick the ***** off.
