"We take them all down, vigilante and gang alike." The lieutenant responded to Simon.

"Yea Garrus, I'll get in the air and see what I can find." Richard said before taking off. He saw three men running together away from the building. He landed and knocked the man in the middle out with a punch before letting his blades come out and slashing the other two men across the stomach. His suit had taken some rounds in the fight, but he himself was fine.

"We are going to need an ambulance for two of these guys." Richard said before flying over the building.

"There are still some guys in the building either hiding or putting up a fight." He said before flying back into the building.

Once the unconscious vigilante slumped to the ground, Jason quickly noticed one of the thugs shooting at a crate. Tippy-toeing, Jason sees Katie behind the crate being shot at. Casually, Jason began to walk towards the gunfire.

"Hey, hey, hey! Didn't your mother ever tell you that it's not polite to shoot at girls?!" He said, getting the thug's attention. Gunfire came towards his direction, the bullets ricocheting off his armor. Once he finally reached the thug, his ammo was exhausted. Desperately, the thug throws the gun at Jason, but all it does is bounce off of him, not even leaving a crack like the various bullets previously did. Jason pitifully shakes his head.

"Hmph. Thugs these days." He says disappointedly before kicking the thug in the face. Remembering Katie, Jason trots over to the crate she was hiding behind.

"Katie, you okay?" He asks, helping her up.

Richard took out the last few men putting up a fight, the rest surrendered as soon as they were found. He walked over to one of the vigilantes in costume and grabbed him by his throat before shoving him against a wall.

"What the hell were you thinking?! You could have gotten one of us or yourselves killed!" Richard growled to the man as he lifted him of the ground.

"W-we just wanted to help!" the man managed to say after Richard loosened the grip on his throat for a second, "T-thought we could help out!"

Garrus heard what the man was saying through Rich's comm, shaking his head as he made his way back with the three guys he had caught. "Group up everyone," he ordered into his comm, placing the guys in a police van before heading over to where Rich was.

"You thought that was help back there? People could have gotten killed because of your little stunt! Now don't let me catch you all doing this again, or I'm going to treat you exactly like I treat criminals. That usually means they are going to need an ambulance rather than a police cruiser. You got that, or do I need to make sure you understand and don't forget to never do this again?" Richard continued angrily.

"We can do what we want! Just because we don't have fancy tech or super powers doesn't mean we still can't help! This would have gone well for us if you guys wouldn't have intervened, then we could have showed you just how good we are!" the man yelled back, both frightened beyond reason and extremely pissed.

"Oh dear god, Rich just put the man down and let him go," Garrus said, not wanting anymore troubles for the day.

"Fuck that Garrus. You idiots do realize we were here with the police, right? We had someone in there, and you may have killed them in your rush to prove yourselves. If you had, I would have killed two of you. Tell me, what if there had been a super, someone you couldn't have killed, what then? Go home, and don't let me ever catch you doing this shit again. Again, if I do, you are going to learn what it feels like to have a beam of plasma or a blade cut through some part of you. Maybe I'll take your trigger arm, or maybe I'll take your head. It will all depend on how much shit you cause." Richard said before letting his shoulder mounted gun aim for him and get ready to fire as his other hand let a blade out.

"Maybe I'll do it right now, since you seem to want to die so badly. So tell me, blade or plasma and where. I'll be happy to do it."

The man gulped as he looked at the mounted gun. He then looked at the ground completely defeated before muttering a 'fuck you, you're supposed to be the heroes'.

"Rich calm the hell down right now. Just put the guy down or else," Garrus barked at Rich as he walked right up to him, "This isn't right. It's not his fault he's not thinking."

"Hey screw you," the man muttered back, still not looking up from the ground.

Richard tightened the hold slightly.

"Who said you can speak? You just endangered my friends and multiple police officers with your little stunt, and you think you get to say you thought for a second? If your idea of thinking is interfering in a police operation and endangering the lives of multiple people by doing so, then you're a fucking genius. Though that seems a little bit less than intelligent in any way to me." Richard released the hold with that.

"I may be a hero, but I'm still human. You just endangered friends and coworkers of mine tonight, and I tend to be rather protective of them. Do it again, and I will not hesitate to kill you in order to protect them. Now get the fuck out of my sight before I change my mind."

The man muttered a few expletives before getting up and being taken into custody along with the other vigilantes.

"For fuck's sake. Thought you were actually going to hurt the guy for a second," Garrus said, cracking his neck as he walked over to the group. "Alright, everything seems fine now. You guys all good?" he asked, making sure everyone was okay.

"I was, Garrus. The only reason I stopped was because I know you would have fought me to protect that idiot. If it had been up to me, he would be going to the hospital or morgue, not a jail cell." Richard replied as he walked back to the group.

"Going to jail is the correct thing for these guys. Hurting them would just make them hate us more, and killing them would make everyone else hate us," Garrus explained to Rich.

"Yea, yea, I know that. Still doesn't change the fact that hurting or killing them will ensure they don't do it again and keep them better off in the long term. That and make me feel a hell of a lot better." Richard replied.

Katie took Jason's helping hand to stand up, and gave him a quick hug. "Thanks for the help," she said as she shrank the vines back into her hood; it was as if they had never been there. She let go of Jason, slid the hood off her head and asked, "If that's everything, shall we head back to the Promenade?"

"Fine Rich, I just...look don't make this a problem alright? Since everyone is okay let's just get the hell going. I'm starting to notice that we're getting a lot of looks from the officers," Garrus said to them, prepared to head back.

"Fair enough. I've had enough of this crap for a lifetime already. Oh, I have something you may want to see when we get back." Richard said as he went back to the promenade.

When the team arrived back they found the promenade in perfect condition. Richard muttered a 'What the hell?' as he walked in.

He entered the lounge to see Leland in the kitchen frosting a cake.

"Of course, just when I thought today couldn't get worse." he groused as he moved to sit on the couch.

"Oh dear god world, why!?" Garrus cursed, raising his arms to the now completely fixed and newly painted ceiling. Leland heard the yell and put down the frosting as he walked on over into the lounge.

"Hello there everyone! Woah drop the weapons please, I'm not here for anything even close to a fight," he said, raising his hands at the glares he was getting.

"What the fuck are you here for then?" Garrus asked sternly, crossing his arms.
"Well...I'm here to...a-pol-o-gize," Leland managed to say, clearly having a problem with the last word.
"Like, sincerely? Last time I checked you weren't capable of that unless ordered," Garrus replied back, not buying what his brother was saying.
"No seriously! I felt, kinda bad for what I did. I know that's not really the best way to introduce yourself to people...I was actually only ordered to do it in person, but truth be told I was going to do that anyways," Leland said innocently before adding, "Took you guys forever to leave though, had to wait awhile. And all those little magical trinkets and the like made things MUCH more difficult for me."

I do believe Pm0n3y has faded back into the shadows of inactivity, so I'll include Jason in my post.

Katie and Jason walked into the lounge together, and they both froze. "Leland... why the hell are you here?" Katie asked, her voice ice-cold with hate. She took a step away from Jason and raised her hands, ready to fight at a moment's notice. "Is this some kind of joke? Because if it is, I won't hesitate to throw you out of the Promenade, right here, right now."

"Well, even with some of those artifacts still here I quite doubt you'd be able to do that. And of course I'm serious! Why would I have spent the last couple of hours of my life fixing and redecorating, physically I might add, all of this building?" Leland explained with slight sadness that they weren't trusting him.

"Wait, you fixed everything?" Garrus asked, about to go and look through the whole place to see.
"Of course! Started with the outside of the Promenade, then moved to fix up the gardens, then moved inside and on to the museums, then worked on the lounge, then all your rooms. It was quite time consuming, though I will admit it was quite fun too," he explained, quite prideful of his work.
