The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

"Alright, I'll be with Simon then. Shadows and rooftops are easy access for me." He said, walking out of the room, before turning to Katie.

"If you're going undercover, i'll be sure to keep a sharp eye on you from the roofs. Under my watchful gaze, you'll have nothing to worry about." He told her with an unseen smile before exiting the building.

The chief gave them a farewell before the group left the police station. Everyone took their vehicles to Westford and parked them well out of sight. Once everyone had gotten in position around the warehouse Richard spoke.

"For this particular mission I have allowed the police to broadcast through our headsets. They will be able to talk to us and hear us when we reply. We are going to be working very closely and communication is going to be key. Remember, we don't move in unless Dona calls for help, shots are fired, or the deal is made. Ideally, they will hand off the drugs and guns to each other and we move in to catch them in the act. Everyone check in."

Back at the station the chief walked into the office before sitting in his chair and putting his head in his hands.

"I cannot believe this is who we are entrusting the safety of the city to. We are completely and utterly screwed." he said to himself.

Simon pulled his dark hood up over his mask as he looked down on the buildings below him. His sight was strong, allowing him to make out most of the details below and around him.

"All clear so far"

He whispered into his communicator

"Jason here, i'm checking in." Jason spoke quietly into the communicator, his legs dangling carelessly off the roof as he sat on the edge.

"Keeping a sharp eye out. Nothing out of the ordinary yet, but we'll keep our eyes open." he said simply.

"Aye, it's clear as far as I can see," Katie whispered from the perfect cover of a tree she sat in. She had thought over the advice carefully, and decided against the stealth operation, instead observing the proceedings, camouflaged in the tree's branches and leaves. No-one could see her unless they stood underneath her and looked straight up.

Aaron sat in his car in a alley adjacent to the construction site. He was stuck in the Wikipedia loop and found himself looking up Gattman, Mississippi. Aaron reached into his bag to grab the rest of his fries though he noticed they where gone.

"Did anyone of you guys take the rest of my fries!?" Aaron shouted over his communicator.

Aaron dug to the bottom of the bag scavenging for some stray fries.

"Aaron shut the hell up, we're in the middle of an operation here. I'll buy you new fucking fries when this is over, Jesus." Richard said as he kept up his holding pattern. He watched as everyone had arrived and set down for the meeting. He watched as a van moved into the area after the two gang vehicles had pulled in.

"I've got an unidentified vehicle here, either one side is going to try and be greedy or something is about to go very wrong." He watched as people with costumes and weapons climbed out of the van. There were six of them with different costumes carrying pistols and shotguns.

"I've got a group here trying to play hero, do we move in?" He asked over the comm. The police Lieutenant in charge of the operation answered his question.

"No, we can't afford to blow our cover yet. For now, we keep a close eye on them, if they do anything it gives us an opportunity to take the gang members down anyway." Richard replied with a quick roger as he watched the costumed vigilantes move toward the warehouse. They took positions before one of them at the door kicked it in and opened fire with the shotgun.

"Shit! Shots fired, shots fired, move in now!" Richard shouted as he quickly descended towards the roof of the building.

Tommy was sitting facing away from Aaron, slowly eating his fries. Serves you right for not sharing. The minute he heard Richard he got up and rushed out, jumping in his Ferrari and speeding in the direction of the meeting.

Dammit, Katie thought, jumping down from her hiding place. She ran towards the door, her hood sprouting long, powerful vines, giving her the appearance of some kind of mutated Medusa. She punched a fist towards one of the stragglers in the group before he could bring his gun up, and a vine lashed out at him, catching him in the head with a knot and knocking him out. "One down, five to go," she said.

Simon quickly teleported behind one of the vigilantes, grabbed him and teleported back on-top of the building, slipping on a pair of handcuffs during the few seconds the man was disorientated.

"Idiot"

Simon muttered as he hit the man in the back of the head with the handle of his knife, knocking him out

"This is going to be fun," Aaron smirked before rushing to the "heroes".

He turned his body to organic ice and approached one of the vigilantes from behind. He immediately turned around and unloaded a shell into Aaron's chest. Aaron flew back and and slammed against their van. 2 men approached Aaron who was trying to get back up. One put a bullet into Aaron's shoulder. Aaron quickly grabbed the two men by the neck and lifted them a couple of inches off the ground.

"O.K. now you guys are dead," Aaron smashed the two thugs head's together. He picked them up and threw them in the back of the van and froze the door shut.

Both gangs and the vigilantes were shooting at anything at this point. Richard broke through the ceiling of the building before taking one of the vigilantes out with a quick punch to the stomach. He began taking down as many enemies as possible as quickly as he could.

Garrus and SWAT made their way from their waiting spot to the construction site. SWAT rushed in and fired on the many thugs, many of which fired back and were now on their way back to the vehicles. A few got into one of the black cars and started to speed away. Garrus cracked his neck and caused the earth to split in front of the car, causing it to get stuck. He ran over and took out the guys inside.

Before Jason got in on the action, He watched as Simon disappeared and reappeared on the roof with a straggler vigilante.

"Wow. that was quick." He stated before leaping off the building, landing across the street, in front of the targeted building. A few seconds later, Jason was in on the action, taking out thug after thug with hard hits, blinding speed, and unmatched agility. Eventually his hits and swings started to become faster and harder, yet unbalanced, sloppy, and without thought.

"Okay, let's not get too excited..."He said, pausing for a second to collect his thoughts, before taking out another vigilante with ease.

Katie dragged the unconscious guy towards the tree she had hid in, held him in place with a few branches and pulled his shotgun from his grip. "I'll be taking that now," she said, holding it in both hands; it was unexpectedly heavy. But then, Katie hadn't held a gun before in her life. She ran inside the building after Jason, her vines trailing behind her head as she moved in. Katie watched him fighting for a few seconds, then looked around to see who was still standing, and who didn't want them around.

A series of pistol shots rang out from behind a crate, forcing Katie to get to cover. She quickly hid behind a similar crate, and placed the shotgun on the ground to give her free use of her hands. The shooter continued firing at her, occasionally hitting an exposed vine, so Katie shrank them about halfway into her hood, and waited for the attacker to exhaust his fire.

SWAT was busy trying to locate some of the thugs that had managed to escape. They noted that a number were probably trying to escape on foot into the city.

"Fuckin' hell. Alright, I'll go out and look for a few of them. Rich, since you can fly and all, think you can help me take care of some of these running guys?" Garrus asked, jumping over the fencing of the construction site and going after a few thugs he saw go into an abandoned looking building.

He punched his way through he door that they had quickly blocked up, taking out one guy with a blow to the liver and going after the other two who had run upstairs. Garrus stayed down and waited until he knew which room they were in before causing a quake that destroyed that part of the building, causing the thugs to fall down unconscious right in front of him.

"Got these guys," he said into his comm.
