Aaron had made his way back from his vacation. As he entered the Promenade he noticed that no one was up yet. He hadn't had breakfast yet so he decided to make food for the rest of the team.

He made his way to the kitchen and started to go to work.

Richard walked down from his room and decided to head to the gym. When he got there he set up a weightlifting machine and started to work out.

Katie slept late, dreaming of Jason. Even with the time the members of the Society had had to rest and recuperate, their relationship hadn't changed. He hadn't shown any signs of wanting to take it any further; either that or she hadn't picked them up. Sure, the occasional kiss, holding hands or other displays of affection still gave Katie a thrill, but they didn't seem like enough to get by on.

After a while, Katie woke up, got out of bed and slipped into a sky-blue dress with black edges, thinking it might imply that she wanted something more than simple attraction from her boyfriend. The dress clung to her body to accentuate her natural curves; she hoped it would get the message across.

Katie crossed the gardens, picking a rose and tucking it behind her ear on the way, and entered the Promenade's lounge. She took a seat and waited for Jason to arrive.

I assume from tsatoma's post that we've jumped ahead a few days?

You would be correct. Only a couple of days though.

Garrus had been awake for a few hours, but he just couldn't find the will to get up. He stayed in bed until noon until forcing himself up and out of bed. After showering and changing into some clothes he went to go have brunch, saying hello to Katie in the Lounge and to Aaron in the kitchen.

Richard figured others may be up by now so he stopped working out. He went back to his room, showered, and changed before sitting on the couch in the lounge and flicked the TV over to the news.

'Today's top story, more reports on the devastation caused by the fight between two members of the Society of Justice in the Westford district a few days ago. Reports of damages and lost revenue are still coming in from local factories as the city's clean water supply remains at low levels due to the oil contamination and blackout of the city's water treatment facility. Cases of Dysentery are on the rise as the public water supply remains largely unclean, it is estimated that clean water will be back by later today however. Until then, people are advised to drink bottled water to avoid disease and contamination, and use as little municipal water as possible. With children and the elderly being the most at risk of death due to Dysentery, it is also heavily advised those groups especially stay away from municipal water.'

"Well, I don't think Aaron and I are going to be very popular with the public anytime soon.." Richard said to himself as he sat on the couch.

Tommy came down and looked at the news with Richard, he then scribbled down a note and handed it to Richard.

Code:
That's complete bull-shit, if Marvel's taught me anything it's that Hero vs Hero fights are suppose to make popularity go through the roof!
He smiled cheerily but deep down he was concerned as a team they were already showing cracks and by the look of things the villains they were up against were way out of their league.

"Yea, but Dysentery, dead children, dead grandparents, and lost businesses or jobs makes people hate you no matter what the hell you just did. Mostly my fault anyway, I should have found a way that didn't involve such health risks, ecological damage, and business damage for the citizens. I know I can't change it, but I seem to be failing at my job of the past 5 years or so. At this point I doubt I could protect a turkey sandwich from a corpse, let alone an entire damn city." Richard said neutrally as he watched, he was beating himself up, but his tone wouldn't give that away.

"Oh well fuck me," Garrus said, leaving the kitchen to watch the news. The news was just finishing up an update on the Prime Minister Event killings. They were explaining how the most likely cause for the killing was that the Prime Minister was going to propose an Oversight Law for supers, and that they were quickly put down by a group in a brutal manner as a message.

"Dear god, this is horrible. I mean...damn," he said, at a loss for what to say.

Wait Garrus whats the big deal about this "Oversight Law"?
Asked Tommy through the note. Things were turning out badly, he had only been a member of the Society for a week and it already looked like the whole world was against him.

"Jesus..." Katie murmured, stunned. "This is getting out of hand... what can we do, though? Richard's the only one of us who would escape such a fate."

"An oversight law meant the government wanted to keep track of supers. They were killed because they thought supers needed to be watched over by and held responsible to the government. This is a political nightmare for supers." Richard said after seeing the note.

"Like hell I would, I'm pretty much living it already. I'm technically a super anyway what with the suit and all. In light of recent events, I would support the bill myself."

"That's what it is Rich? I had never even heard of it before," Garrus explained, watching as the news started to interview people on their position on supers.

"I think that idea is stupid. Can't even believe you'd be in favor of it," he said to Richard as he continued watching.

Not wanting to hear anything further from either the news or her fellow supers, Katie got up and made her way up the stairs, looking for Jason's room. With any luck, she would find him sooner rather than later.

Tommy watched Katie go upstairs she seemed upset, it was only reasonable he was feeling upset himself. It's only going to be a matter of time before they try that oversight thing again, maybe they'll do it here in the US... Tommy shuddered as he imagined what would happen if the Archmage Council would do if they found out a Stitch was helping the Society.

"I already live with government oversight of everything I do anyway, what the hell is one more law to me. Besides, look at the displays we've put on recently, all the people hurt and killed because of us. I'm not saying we should be monitored twenty-four seven and punished for damages in defense of our lives. I can't say I'm against having to carry a form of identification marking me as a super, having where I live known by the government at all times, and having to actually give answers for damages to the city in the line of duty though." He said as the new moved on to the next story.

Jason awoke, surprised that he wasn't one of the first people to do so. He heard the chatter and got up, his heart skipping a beat when the Oversight Law was mentioned.

"I really hope that doesn't reach the US. A plan like that could really conflict with supers whose secret fucking identities are fucking vital for them to survive." He said quietly, gritting his teeth before getting out of bed.

"I'm sure it'll all just pass over our heads, I mean, our president is a super as well." He continued, stretching.

He approached his dresser, and picked out some clothes. As he left his room to begin his morning ritual, he saw Katie and trotted up to her.

"Morning, Katie." He said happily, giving a kiss instead of recieving one for once. He soon got a glimpse of what she was wearing.

"Looks like you're looking as stunning as usual." He said, his clothes still in his arms.

"Thanks, sweetie," Katie said, smiling. "Always the charmer. Hey, listen, I'm gonna take a shower soon. Can we talk later? You know... in private?" She hoped she didn't scare Jason a little; after all, it was him she wanted to talk about. Well, herself as well, but it seemed to Katie that Jason was the bigger issue.

"Oh, no problem. To tell the truth, I was getting ready to take my shower as well. And I always have time to talk." Jason replied happily, before making his way to the men's bathroom.

"In private, eh? In wonder what she wants to talk about." He thought with a smile.

Not comfortable with inactivity Khrys had kept going out at night and exploring 'on duty'. She saw the reactions of the people and how the constant media coverage fo the story altered their opinions.

She wrote a note to Garrus saying "We need to do something to remind the people the good someone can do. Maybie Aaron can cleanse a large quantity of water or push it through some sand you make or something. Or some kinda super maginet filter thingy Richie can make. Even people I help look like they would rather I didnt help them they dont want to be reminded of the good stuff. Maybie the media corp are being manipulated or paid off. -Khrys" sticking it to his door and wandering into the museum trying to figure out what to do next, making sure to 'hide' by looking like a normal girl.

When people got to know her she scared them but till then they though she was cuddly. It made her skin crawl thinking of being stared at but maybie she could volunteer to try and do charity work.

She paused looking at a photo of one fo the teams saying to herself softly "What they need is a leader. Someone to listen to. Right now its just a bunch of people who dont have a clue what to do." Adding selently in a self-reflective pause not like I do ether. All I could probably teach them to do a cheer.
